Kayne Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I would say the Gideon is enough of a veteran here to be a part of the council....just my 2 cents! Quote

Mike S Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Masa has left Barqa taking up residence in Aden's Gate, East Gorr for which he would be the representative on the council. Major cities such as Barqa, Petraea, and Qarkyr would theoretically probably be represented by minor councils who elect a representative to send to the main council as for example I know that there were several members who took up residence in Barqa. Gideon won the Kaliphlin trophy for challenge 6 and is still active here in GoH so definitely should be allowed on the council. Quote

Maxim I Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 (edited) No biggie! So who is your character in the Council and what city will he represent? edit: I guess I just have to read your signature Edited August 13, 2013 by Damaximus Quote
Niku Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Good idea, but at the same time a risky one, you have just gathered the information of the head of your guild if any malevolant group or individual would try or attempt destroy you. Will know where to strike first. Quote
Kai NRG Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I can represent Kaligem, for now at least. I don't plan to use it too much in future story lines of my own, but my character Kaflar will stay there as governor. (I've been planning for quite a while now to make an MOC where Ageven goes off with just a few followers back to the little peninsula down there, but I'm having trouble getting around to it!) Quote
Maxim I Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Wait, we found Kaligem? Kai kinda did in his chal VI entry . Although we still can make it disappear again (only kaflar knows its location) so we don't lose our income by rich avalonian yuppies who have nothing better to do than call themself archeologists :) Quote
Gideon Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) Masa has left Barqa taking up residence in Aden's Gate, East Gorr for which he would be the representative on the council. Sir Gideon resides in Barqa since many years, and even though he rarely stays there any longer times he could probably be a candidate for a seat in the Barqa city council. If no veteran member of GoH would like to represent Barqa, he might also be persuaded to act as the Barqan emissary to the Kaliphlin council even though he really isn't interested in the boring duties of governing. Having good connections with the representatives and lords of the other cities of Kaliphlin is after all probably good for business. Out of character: I have considered to move Sir Gideon's residence to one of the yet undescribed minor cities and flesh that out a bit in the future, but if that would leave Barqa without an active representative my sigfig will stay there. I have some ideas for Barqa MOCs in the back of my head if I ever get time to build it I hope there are members who like to represent Qarkyr and Ras-el-Akhen as well? But there are maybe plausible political reasons explaining if they aren't represented at the moment in the Kaliphlin Council. Edited August 14, 2013 by Gideon Quote
Kai NRG Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Wait, we found Kaligem? Yeah, I sort of did in my Challenge VI and made it the rendezvous for my army, but if anyone objects it doesn't really need to have been found. Like I mentioned, I don't plan on using it much (if at all) in the future. Quote

I suppose there is a lively debate going on among the scholars at the University of Petraea regarding if it truly is Kaligem, and what it means if it indeed has been found? Quote

My main reason for moving Masa from Barqa was that my style didn't really seem to fit in very well with other Barqa builds as I have only a limited supply of tan bricks. I'm sure we can always come up with some reason why certain cities are missing a representative... Quote

Yes, I imagine there could well be a lot of debate on that question! After all, I guess there's no way to know! Quote
Kayne Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I hope there are members who like to represent Qarkyr and Ras-el-Akhen as well? Well, I never really had a home for Saladus. He sort of just wandered the desert, wherever the money took him. But if no one is in one of those two cities, he could definitely settle down and call somewhere home. Quote

SkaForHire Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) I remember that now about Kai and Kaligem... So many stories here, so much to keep straight! Oh, and to DM's original question to me -- currently Petera represents Eastgate. Also, I played around with those shields a bit, and made a shield for Queenscross: QC by skaforhire, on Flickr Edited August 14, 2013 by SkaForHire Quote
Maxim I Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) So let's see: Sir Gideon => Barqa (+ Master Architect of Historica as title) Kai => ? => Qarkyr (+ The Unknown City of Ruins) Saladus (Kayne) => Ras El Akben (+the Nathmandu clan) Rasputin (Robuko) => Stone Town (+ Lost Vega as he made a cool MOC of it) Erynlasgalan => Amrakect Petera (Ska) => Eastgate (+ Queenscross) (+ Al Derak) Dama => Mpya Stedor (+ Everlast) (+ Nestland Clans) Masa => Aden's Gate Gex => Messahmuk (+ Marjata Rhytaville) Erudhalion => Berigora Can everyone find himself in here and agree with the city? Normally I got perfect 10 Council members now, making it a vivant thing and there are normally always at least 5 council members who are checking the forum on a random day Only Thing we have to do now is choosing our vice leader edit: @Ska: that's a cool choice for Queenscross :) Edited August 14, 2013 by Damaximus Quote
Kai NRG Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well, I can't say I know much about Qarkyr but I guess I can represent it. Since the unknown city of ruins is just that - ruins - there's not much point in representing it at least right now! Quote
Kayne Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I'm good with Ras-El-Akban.....it'll give me something new to build! Quote
SkaForHire Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 There are still a few others that resurface from time to time that may want added to the list. Plus, you are missing Nightstalker, he is very active. Sir James also has a city I think. I feel like a few people are missing here still. Didn't we get another new person recently? Quote

I know they aren't represented right now, but I thought we agreed to have only the older members in the Council So if they manage (and I really hope they will) to be active (and participate in a few challenges), then they will be invited to join the council as well About the resurfacing members: Basiliscus (who has been away for way too long) and Scuba have their own cities (Samrd'dha for example) so if they resurface again, it won't be a problem to give them a seat in the council Or did I forget someone else as well?
