We saw one mammoth big fig, how is this in any way a form of minifigs going extinct? They won't, new molds for each character is just illogical, that's why all tribes share a mold for a head, that get reused in sets that go into mass distribution.

I think it was just a joke (since mammoths are extinct in real life).

Anyone reliaze that we predicted mammoths before we got pictures of Lavertus? I find that Ironic, and if that is the true Fire Phoenix temple, I'll have my work cut out for me, both the Outland base and the Temple requiring serious upgrades.

I don't see why you think the Outland Base needs upgrades. It's not supposed to be a huge, formidable base, as I understand it. It's more like a small bunker or encampment — something Lavertus, working alone, could have thrown together for security after his banishment.

Episdoe 25 depicts the exact oppisite, it's a masive, sprawling compund with multiple rooms and secret compartments. I'm not saying the set is bad, in fact, I quite like it, I just personally want something a little bigger.

i don't know about those fire and ice sets. The pics are also too blurry for me. Allthough those fire-wings would look good on dark phoenix from the x-men

But that Mammoth has my attention. I hope it'll come in a cheap set as well.

Get myself a Spinlynn cavern.

and boy, was it a great build!

As I don't liked the rhino on the photo Imust admit in person he looks a lot better.

But the star of this set is obviously Spinlynn. The most amazing and threating figure in my collection.

The new spider legs- simply georgous. Also I was afraid torso will not stick to the body well but it does.

To sum up. It's quite amazing set for such price. get it if you have a choice.

I extend my thanks to just2good on his Brickset profile for mentioning this there, but Toys R Us has some of the Spring wave (US) sets up. Including Chima!

At first glance the Speedorz are $2 cheaper! The Legend Beast however have quite the price tag. Hopefully that is just TRU inflation. I don't that price will effect my purchasing them, however.

Odd, I didn't see your comment there. But no problemo! :sweet:

The Legend Beasts are sure to be $10 MSRP. Not too bad in my opinion. I'm glad the Speedorz are cheaper, though!

The Legend Beasts all have more than 100 pieces. The Lion and Croc have the most, at 120 and 122. Lots of those parts are brand new elements. $10 is a great price!

Sorry if this is the wrong post, I'm not normally a person who posts in this section, however I do have a son who purchases Chima and has an interest in it.

I was at an Australian Lego convention (Brickvention) and apparently some of the retailers there told me that this will be the last year of Chima? Does anyone here know if it is true. It seems an awful lot of time and effort to waste, especially if they are trying to promote a beat game for a product that will be redundant in less than 12 months. Has anyone heard anything similar?

The theme was originally planned to end in 2015 (as seen in a 2012 promotional video), but it seems as if sales are really low on this theme. Oh well. LEGO is moving onto their latest "hot" IP in 2015, which is supposedly some turn-based creature game.

Still, it's odd if that statement is true, as it indicates we won't get a small wave in 2015.

And here's what Barry from brickfanatics.co.uk reports from the London Toy Fair (http://brickfanatics.co.uk/london-toy-fair-report/):

Legends of Chima, At the end of the fights against the spiders and the scorpions the continent splits and a piece of chi falls into the chasm and reawakens some of the legendary tribes. Mammoths! Including a big fig, Sabretooth Tigers, Phoenix tribe and Vultures best set was the Giant AT-AT style mammoth set the Phoenix playset that turns into a giant flying bird.

The Mammoth AT-AT sounds amazing

The phoenix bird transforming stuff sounds very awesome, also I'm really curious about the mammoth walker too. Can't wait for NY toyfair.

Sales are really low, now? I disagree, and other than you I have seen actual numbers, as well as empty shelves at Christmas.

You know, I laughed through all 36 minutes of your ridiculous, if entertaining Chima rant ("Chima models are TOO BIG!" lol), but don't push it. Don't make up or support negative rumors only because no one takes you seriously enough anymore to reply to your usual nonsense. Thanks.
