Karateduo1 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Dino-themed vehicles could be quite interesting. But it would be a combination of already-done "CHI creating new tribes" and "CHI unleashing prehistoric tribes" and probably, "Don't throw CHI down a gorge...we mean it" and would dinosaurs be multiple tribes or one? Probably they would use three new ones. T-Rex for the big baddies, Triceratopsfor the Brutes, and Pteradactyls for the fliers. Quote
DuckBricks Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 It's possible. I always question the direction in which Chima will be taken. Something pushes me toward a water-esque theme or a desert theme. I'm surprised to see china make this far, many Lego Born themes don't last like chima or ninjage have. With the exception of Bionicle. I, too was imagining a water theme, but then realized that LEGO is trying to stay away from stuff they have already done in other themes (minifig sea creatures for Atlantis)... They're set for an August release along with the likes of HERO Factory and Star Wars. You should be able to find them at Toys R Us sometime in the middle of July. It is, however, different in the UK. If I'm correct, both portions of the Summer wave were released at one time for them. And as a reminder, in case some of you Eurobricks frequenters haven't checked the Action Figures Forum in a while, the US will not be getting the Legends of Chima Constraction Figures. I mentioned the Constraction figures not being released in the US to a LEGO store employee, who then smiled and said that he's not sure sure about that. Part of me is hoping he's right, but I know that that's not the case as the LEGO CEE team stated it. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) The Atlantis figs could be a cool cross over... Edited June 18, 2014 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote

I wouldn't say that — Galaxy Squad did bug people just last year. If Chima's designers aren't afraid of this year's spiders and scorpions being too similar to that, then surely they wouldn't be too cautious about similarities to a theme that's been discontinued for nearly half a decade. You make a good point - but those bugs were mosquitoes and beetles(?? that's what they looked like to me...), while the Chima bugs were spiders and scorpions. I was doubtful of a new underwater theme as (knowing LEGO) the baddies would include a shark tribe, which we have already gotten in Atlantis, as well as crabs, hammerheads, squids, manta rays, angler fish, etc... I can't think of a different sea creature marketable to kids besides maybe eels... But I am hopeful as much as you to get an underwater theme as well. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I picked up Inferno Pit today. I picked it up because I wanted a Phoenix without spending too much money on the temple. I actually prefer these new Speedorz to the old one. The ripcord is positioned better (it goes forward instead of on top) and has a new wheel piece. I wish it wasn't Fluminox included. The torso must be the same as the one included in the temple so the legs don't match up right. It probably should have been Foltrax or Frax. You'd only buy this for the exploding-rock and those wonderful technic parts (both come in most of the new Speedorz sets anyway) and to get Fluminox without shelling out $100 - $200 for the temple. Agent Fusion Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Would anyone here recommend Vardy's Flyer.? I'd like to hear some varied opinions on this. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I just learnt that, just as I suspected, Frax's Phoenix Flyer will be an upcoming S@H promo in Europe (and most likely the UK too), along with Worriz's bike. Brickset has the details. Great news for Chima set/ minifig completists I guess! Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 In Europe at least! We in the US will probably get them later. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Would anyone here recommend Vardy's Flyer.? I'd like to hear some varied opinions on this. Totally recommending it! Vardy's flyer is a fun build with great looks and multiple points of articulation, the 2 figs are exclusive to the set and beautiful and IMO the price tag is quite wallet-friendly. And you can get great trans light blue parts with lots of dark brown and dark tan. But if you're doubtful, just read my review here in the Action Themes forum a few topics below Quote
Agent Fusion Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Thanks! I read your review, and now I'm convinced. When I see it, I'll pick it up. Quote
just2good Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 The Summer sets are on the August 2014 store calendar, as is a promo for the Warriz polybag on purchases over $75. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Looks like this polybag is a LEGOLand exclusive... It will be released somewhere else for everyone to get. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I hope it isn't exclusive, Sykor may be my favourite Sabre-Tooth. Quote
Krulis Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Skyor looks great. And he is light grey. Nice. Sleight also look good. Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I just recieved my frax flyer from lego and i have to say it is the best ploybag yet in my eyes and I really hope Sykor isnt exclusive because i really need that minifgure ! Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I really hope Sykor isnt exclusive because i really need that minifgure ! You and me both, I am missing just two characters from my Chima collection, Sykor is one of them (the other one is Firox, but I have that one pre-ordered from Amazon UK). However, remember that all is not lost for those seeking Sykor, I made a post a few pages ago (for ease of viewing, I've quoted the relevant parts of that post below) where I spotted weapons on the Chima microsite which did not belong to any of the summer wave sets we knew about. I am confident one of the hitherto unrevealed Speedorz sets (70152-70154) will include Sykor from these analyses. Still no info on these Speedorz yet, but I'd say they've got a September or end of year release. Well, just as suspected, in the weapon bios of the Chima microsite, there are indeed 6 weapons which do not appear in any of the sets we have pictures of. These seem to perfectly equate to the three Speedorz we don't have pictures of, and a tribe is mentioned in each weapon bio. So, from this, I can get a good idea of what the Speedorz will contain: The Skorch and Piker weapons indicate a Raven Speedorz set, probably Razar in his fire outfit, and I'll guess this is 70152 Lava Breakout. As already stated, the Rhinfurno and Splitta weapons indicate a Rhino Speedorz set, probably Rogon in a fire outfit, and I'll guess this is 70153 Fang Trap. And finally, the Froztang and Frax weapons indicate a Sabertooth Speedorz set, very possibly with Sykor (logical choice), and that will most likely be 70154 Frozen Fortress. And if Sykor isn't the figure in any of these Speedorz sets, then I will have to track down this seemingly hard to get polybag and probably pay over the odds for it... but I guess that's part of the fun of being a minifig collector Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 ^ Haha im kind the exact same boat , I've pre-ordered the firox minifgure with book from Amazon aswell but I'm les of a minifigure collector more of a everything chima collector so sometimes it does get a little costy :) Quote

Aanchir Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 According to this article there's going to be a Legends of Chima panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Hoping for some cool insights into the theme's development! Quote
