DuckBricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 According to this article there's going to be a Legends of Chima panel at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Hoping for some cool insights into the theme's development! Agreed... It was also posted on the Brick Fan. (http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-cartoon-network-panels-at-san-diego-comic-con-2014/) Quote
Krulis Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Fire Rogon artwork. He is basicly confirmed to be in Speedor set later this year. Quote

AnthonyP301 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Just as I had predicted from the weapon bios. Now to wonder which Speedorz set he'll be in... Probably Lava breakout since it's the only fire-related name of a Speedorz set we haven't seen yet. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Will Rogon's fire speedor use the claw arms on Laval's fire speedor. Or would it have the muscle armed design seen in episode 31. http://youtu.be/IZHM7yOTcLk Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Probably Lava breakout since it's the only fire-related name of a Speedorz set we haven't seen yet. Yes, but I highly believe the other two figures we're going to see in the Speedorz sets are Fire Razar and Sykor, so Fang Trap is also likely to be a Fire based set. Will Rogon's fire speedor use the claw arms on Laval's fire speedor. Or would it have the muscle armed design seen in episode 31. Who knows just yet? Personally, since the fire claws (like the one on Laval's speedor) already appear in 3 Speedorz sets, getting them a fourth time would be a bit... boring. And, well, rhinoceros don't have claws, so it'd look pretty odd anyway I'd love to see the muscle arms though. Quote

He and Firox will propably stay polybag exclusive. I suspect that it will include either Stealthor or Strainor. Oh and storywise Skyor seems to be too savage to drive speedor. Quote
PenPlays Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Sykor's Ice Cruiser is on the US Toys R Us site. If I recall correctly, US Lego Stores should be getting Worriz' bike in August. Do we have any info on whether we'll be getting the Frax Poly as well? Quote

Well, consider that Strainor and Stealthor have already appeared in at least 2 sets, and Sykor only one poly. Sykor's the logical choice (with a healthy dash of hopefulness too I guess) (and anyway, if he's too savage to drive a Speedor, why is he on an ice cruiser in the poly? Sounds like he's too savage to drive anything), and that said, stranger things have happened with LEGO. Oh, and by the way, I think you mean Frax is poly exclusive, not Firox Firox is the book exclusive. But that Sykor poly better not be US exclusive... especially with an exclusive figure in there that I need But if someone from the US would like to swap a Sykor poly for a Frax poly, I won't say no... Sir Brickalot Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I got the LoC board game yesterday, it's a great parts pack! What do you guys think of the set? Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I saw all of the August-release sets (Fire vs, Ice) at the Chicago Water Tower LEGO store today. Quote
DuckBricks Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Probably Lava breakout since it's the only fire-related name of a Speedorz set we haven't seen yet. And "Breakout" makes me think of Rogon smashing rocks... I got the LoC board game yesterday, it's a great parts pack! What do you guys think of the set? I got it just for the 3x3 radar dish for a blue Peter Reid Turtle... but I'm getting off topic. I guess LEGO really tends to deviate from the storyline in their sets. I mean, Furty didn't have a Speedor of his own in the show and was supposed to be a VERY bad Speedor driver, and yet we still got him and his own Speedor... Edited July 24, 2014 by legozebra Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 ^ Well that's basically why I got the set, to build turtles! Ahem, back on topic people. Quote
just2good Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) The new Speedorz are out in the US! I found two at my Target. This Speedorz have definitely improved from the last wave! Edited July 28, 2014 by just2good Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Oh, I found the whole wave at my LEGO store. Looking at that picture, I wonder how they can make so many different weapons. -Sci Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The new Speedor weapons are a joke. Sticks, sticksand more sticks. What happened with all that cool small build weapons with good parts? Quote
PenPlays Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The new Speedor weapons are a joke. Sticks, sticksand more sticks. What happened with all that cool small build weapons with good parts? Stick weapons can be held in both hands of the minifigure. With enough patience (and an insanely good eye) you could potentially balance the weight of the the Speedorz, making it so that you can race your Speedorz without them turning due to lop-sided weight. Speaking of which, just2good, do the power-upz (i.e. the trans-blue wings in the Frozen Spikes Speedor) effect the Speedorz any more/less than the power-upz from previous waves? Quote
Meiko Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Here's some concept art from the SDCC Chima panel. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I would have liked to see the Ice Age Lizard Tribe. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Does anyone have any review of their presentations at SDCC? Quote
just2good Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Here's some concept art from the SDCC Chima panel. Is that last one a lizard? And, did they have any 2015 info there? Quote
krystalKING Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 MOTHER OF GOD, those things are creepy, but at the same time, cool looking. Also, to echo Just2good, was there any 2015 information in there? Quote

MOTHER OF GOD, those things are creepy, but at the same time, cool looking. Also, to echo Just2good, was there any 2015 information in there? Nothing about 2015. The panel was mostly just a preview of the new episodes to start in August. They had set designer Samuel Johnson (which is how I know about the panel since he's a friend of mine) and some sets at the panel but nothing new I don't think. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 The lizards probably got scrapped, since they already have an important reptile tribe. And when you think "ice age animals", lizards come nowhere near that image. Quote
