Maxim I Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 Ok, I started to make a shield, but I can't copy it from Paint , anyone knows how to do that?? you save it and then you upload it on flickr and post it here :) Quote
Alfadas Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) you save it and then you upload it on flickr and post it here :) I don't have flickr, but I guess I can make an account there, thanks for the quick reply. Now I need something for in the shield, and a city name. EDIT: I have made a flickr account, name is Alfadas Mandredson, so add me if you want. Here is my shield so far, I don't know what to fill it with : Edited August 18, 2013 by jeroenaa Quote
PenPlays Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Here is my shield so far, I don't know what to fill it with : A weapon of some sort would work quite nicely (preferably a battle axe or some sort of sword). You can also come up with your own ornate symbol that represents you. My herald is complete! Burrium, the county of Avalonia has found hope in the flame for centuries, and it hopes that, with this herald, the warmth of the flame will bring peace to the lands! Might I suggest this photo to go along with it on the first post? Quote

HammerBro Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I give you the Herald of Vanhorn. I have also included a picture for the finished product of the Herald. I was hoping someone else could create the finished product as it looks to be beyond my talent to produce. The governing body of Vanhorn is the Council of Vanguard, which I am one of the seven members of. Quote
Maxim I Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Very productive day today Updated information: County of Arod Mearas (Avalonia) County of Burrium (Avalonia) County of Vanhorn (Avalonia) City of Stoneroda (Mitgardia) City of Thorshaven (Mitgardia) Town of Daydelon (Mitgardia) Claw Breakers Area (Nocturnus) Village of Master Racoon (Nocturnus) Werewolves Caves (Nocturnus) Enjoy it ! And those who haven't created their herald yet : get inspired (or ask me) and your city will be added!! Quote
PenPlays Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I hate to be picky, but Owlan isn't the Lord of Burrium. He is simply a citizen of the County. Lord Feridor is the Lord of Burrium. I'm also curious, where did Regis Fort come from (I forget if I ever said anything about the capitol building's name )? If you wish to highlight the capital city, Damaximus, the City is called Denitor. Quote

Ah yes, that. Tells you how much I've been keeping track of names. And then of course a story goes through changes in its early stages. I was suggested the name Burrium without any knowledge that Lord Silvius Flamecius even existed. Now that I think about it. A simple edit and Flamecius is back in command. Again with a story that is in a development stage (all stories are until they are complete), he can still be in command and that wouldn't change anything. And here I thought I had Burrium all to myself. EDIT: Sorry to be picky again, but Lord Flamecius is misspelled on the first page. He could also use a first name there too (I seriously don't know why I'm so particular about this kind of stuff). Edited August 21, 2013 by Penkid11 Quote

No, I do understand Now, what the funniest part is, Burrium has moved as well In the earlier stage, it was located at the coast, nowadays it is located in central Historica Seriously, that no one from Avalonia ever noticed that Quote
SkaForHire Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Also, has Flamecus been active even this year? or last? I thought it was a dead account, but he is active in the history forum. Check out this Beauty. You Avalonians should make an effort to get him back... Also, there could be two Burriums, maybe a greater and a lesser? Quote

PenPlays Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Also, there could be two Burriums, maybe a greater and a lesser? Or a migration due to some sort of circumstance. About that beauty, those who read the comments can see that at least I (yes, a Kaliphlinite) already tried to convince him to come back He was reconsidering it Here's hoping that a spark ignites in him to return! It would be nice to have another builder of this skill on the Avalonian Book II frontlines. Quote

NiceMarmot Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) Good idea and great work so far. I'll get you some information on Messahmuk. I don't want to rain on your parade, but isn't this the kind of stuff for which the wiki is ideally suited? Easier to maintain and format, can link directly to a particular city, don't have to worry about the topic being pushed down, etc. Maybe we use this thread for discussion and move the definitive city guide to the wiki? There's already pages for a lot of cities there. Edited August 28, 2013 by NiceMarmot Quote
