jorgeopesi Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 The best wheel excavator I ever seen and with instructions, congratulations for this awesome machine  . Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Great excavator,I don't think there is a better wheeled excavator in terms of functions. I do think that it is out of scale....the arm is like a stick compared to the rest of the machine. Quote
paulblda Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Wow, that is very impresive. I like how you got all the function in such a compact AND good looking (realistic) design. However, I would like to see the "loading bucket" a bit bigger. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Very nice wheeled excavator! The arm rotation is a very nice feature. Quote
Kronos Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'm not a big construction equipment guy, but this is really cool. Great job on the MOC and the instructions! Quote
Rishab N Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Wow this is an excellent wheeled excavator! Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Technically the most advanced excavator I've seen so far. Great work !! Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Great model. How many motors have you hidden in those arms? Quote
Foggy Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 (edited) Amazing model! Should be nice to see it with the railroad wheels tool Edited August 17, 2013 by Foggy Quote
GuiliuG Posted August 18, 2013 Author Posted August 18, 2013 Thanks all for your sweet comments ! There are only two motors hidden in the arm, for the third arm articulation and for the bucket. The bucket is at scale, the one used in the 8043 excavator is way to big. Yes, it would be cool to add railroad wheels but there are already so many functions, don't see how to put these ^^. Quote
dr_spock Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Very nice. Excellent work putting in all those functions. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Nice excavator with the myriad of functionality Edited August 19, 2013 by legomuppet9 Quote
MrTekneex Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Really nice model, very complex! Only one regret for the small bucket. Congratulations anyway, well done! Quote
GuiliuG Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) You should look at the real excavator to see that the bucket has the right proportions :) Thanks all btw. Edited August 20, 2013 by GuiliuG Quote
GuiliuG Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 The model is now added on rebrickable : Check out if you have all the parts to build it ! Quote
Holodoc Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Wow! This is a really great and very detailed digger. I bow before the builder - I never could build anything like this. NIce move to have it put on rebrickable as well. I'm really close to buying the instructions... Quote
Blakbird Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Another amazing model. Do you have pictures of what you used for a controller? Since this has two extra functions compared to a normal excavator (boom rotation and second boom articulation), I'm not sure how the controls work. Regular 2 stick CAT controls would not be enough. Quote
GuiliuG Posted August 23, 2013 Author Posted August 23, 2013 Thanks. For now, I haven't built a controller ( as it simply consists of four remote controllers pinned together) but I will build one in a few months using only two joysticks to control six functions. Quote
GuiliuG Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 I want to say a big thanks to blakbird for his magnificient renders : Quote
EyesOnly Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Wow nice render. *Reaches out to grab it and gets a shock from the monitor. Quote
