aol000xw Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) A giant Volvo chainsaw on tracks? RC and pneumatic I hope. Any picture of a Volvo trencher? I can't find one. Edited January 22, 2014 by aol000xw Quote
Paul Boratko Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I can't tell if the pick up truck is 4WD or not.. The front wheels have the center snaps from the 42000 hubs in them and might have new steering arms or the ones from the 8070... Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 A giant Volvo chainsaw on tracks? RC and pneumatic I hope. Any picture of a Volvo trencher? I can't find one. Volvo makes no such machine. The Volvo machine we will be getting is a wheel loader. I can't tell if the pick up truck is 4WD or not.. The front wheels have the center snaps from the 42000 hubs in them and might have new steering arms or the ones from the 8070... How can you tell? Have you seen a better picture, or are you at the fair? Quote
Cwetqo Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It was written somewhere that its Volvo L350F, the big one. Quote

Yes sorry.I forgot that january sets are the plane and such, I was expecting Nuremberg fair pictures as if those were releases for january instead of summer. That and the summer/trench digger mention confused me. I always forget our Lego reality is 6 months in the past of this thread Quote
paul_delahaye Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Maybe the dozer will be a baby D8 to go with the monster D10/11 we got the other year Quote
jorgeopesi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I always thought the 8275 was a komatsu d475 . Quote
davidmull Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 This waiting for official pictures is hard :) Quote

NevynPA Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 LEGO Shop Hi Jeff - It doesn't look like there are any new Technic sets scheduled for launch in the US until early summer. Like · Reply · 39 minutes ago That is what I got when asking about 2014 Technic launch in the USA. Quote
Kronos Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Early summer!? Are they MAD!!!!! This cannot be! :cry3: Quote
davidmull Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Technic is not popular in the USA Iv heard. It's a euro thing :) Anyway back on topic. Quote
therealjustin Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Sad but true. If something cannot be assembled in less than twenty minutes, the majority of Americans don't want it. We just don't seem to appreciate the same things as the rest of the world's population. My collection is nothing but Technic so maybe I was meant to be European We should see photos of the new sets by the end of next week! Edited January 24, 2014 by therealjustin Quote

Paul, I believe that new suspension arms will be used with new small hubs (both the same as on snowmobile). Second due to problems with big turning cycle with CV joints I think it would be only rear wheel drive something like on extreme cruiser 8081. Why no hubs - it looks disproportional to have 5 studs high axle and only 10,5 studs tire diameter (81.6 X 38R) as you can see on your "New Suspension ideas using the new 2014 parts" BS folder. AVCampos Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Huw said on Brickset that it uses lots of 5x11 panels, so the answer is no. Quote
AndroTech Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The pick-up is mid-range model with cargo bed made of red 5x11 panels and the 8081 tyres ..... Something like this: Quote
Conchas Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Tons of red panels, which are currently quite rare. Quote
AVCampos Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 red panels, which are currently quite rare. Not for me, as I have two disassembled 8448's and participated in the Brick Race during LFW 2012. Quote
rm8 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Will it be a real pickup like hilux on the picture? Or it will be a larger type of vehicle? What about transmission (real 4wd?) and power functions? :) I love cars Edited January 24, 2014 by rm8 Quote
