I wonder how big the dozer will be or will it possibly be pneumatic :) any reason why we haven't seen pictures yet?

Ps i really like loader it's a must buy for me,the red truck a bit boring though.

The dozer is approximately the same size as last year 42006 Excavator, and no, it's not pneumatic. Oh and yes, .... it's yellow .....

I have seen it on preliminary pictures which can not be posted here ...... but yes, it's yellow it has V4 fake engine, blade made of liftarms and panels ...... looks quite good .....

And I agree, it is strange that there is no pictures of dozer from Nuremberg Show ..... maybe soon ....

I got the impression (eventually wrong), they do not use to show all new sets at Nuremberg Toy Fair.

That's why the details about the Dozer were only seen by a few who got access to the dealers catalog.

Maybe we get to see it at NY Toy Fair, although the 1H LEGO Technic sets are not yet selling in NA.

Wow, a lot happened since I last checked.

I like the possibilities that the small truck will offer. Like 8081, I think it has a lot of options for modification. As other have stated, the red panels are certainly a plus.

The loader seems fine, and has a lot of complex functions, but I find myself becoming less willing to purchase the flagships. I just don't need another 500 pins in my collection. I'll buy the bucket, hubs, and motors from Bricklink.

I am looking forward to the Dozer. I like the sets around that size with a good four manual functions. It's very much in line with the way I build.

Well, those H2 sets are definitely targeted at newcomers of "big technic".

42030 Front loader has almost everything (well, except pneumatics and suspension parts, but this is where 42029 takes off) that new AFOL could wish in one pack: 2 IR contolers and recievers, 4 different types of motors, 3 LA's, big Unimog tyres, a new gorgeous Volvo bucket.

42029 Custom Truck handles the rest of parts required for TT or other wheeled disciplines: suspension parts, shock absorbers, lots of red panels.

If only I didn't have 8297, 8258, 8043, 8110 (well.. no, I'll keep 8110 :) ), I would 100% buy those two sets.

I think company does everything right: they gave us 8297, 8258, 8043, 8110, 9398, 42009. But since they can't invent a wheel every year and they have to give something to them (newcomers), they have to recycle some of ideas by summing previous achievements and putting them into 42029 and 42030...

42030, in my opinion, could have been so much better. The steering is wonky, and it could have had all the motors in back, and suspension too. The compromises they made probably did not have to be made.

Yes it does. The rear axle can swing a few degrees. The front is solid. It doesn't have springs but it does have suspension.

Of course it's not specific to the model or brand but i chose it since it is the model that this set is based on.

I very much agree with thirdwigg. The front loader is not appealing to me and the only good thing about the pickup truck is the red panels, but the prices will then drop on Bricklink so I probably won't get this set either. I am now just looking forward to the Bulldozer since I've never built one before.

It is unsprung suspension which is a perfectly valid variety. Virtually all heavy equipment has this. The manufacturer's web sites all call it suspension.

I appreciate the use of servo, i see in a simple way for mod: 1m and two LA inside che loader and a usefull servo as a spare parts. :D

It's always tesame when TLC comes with a new set.

And all this in advance. The set hasn't even been released yet.afols always know better .

I am happy with the new sets. Lots off red panels suspension pieces, pf stuff, yellow hubs, new bucket,... .

Maybe i am easily pleased.

But i am one happy afol.

Strictly speaking, in most construction machinery, the large tires (with their plushness) count as suspension. Now, in agricultural machines however, some tractors (Case) do have a Cab with a suspension ... To improve operator's comfort.

most tractors nowadays have a suspended cab and also a suspended front axle.

Even our massey ferguson from the year 2001 has a suspended front axle.

exactly, even smaller classes have front suspended axles and some bigger have independent suspension at the front. JCB Fastrac has both front and rear suspension
