February 4, 201411 yr My guess is that there is quite a bit of leftover stock from the 1H and 2H 2013 sets. The average consumer that buys Technic has no idea about the new sets unless they see them on stores shelves so they just end up buying what they find, whether they are from 2013 or 2014. LEGO needs to clear the inventory and they do this by leaving existing sets out for a longer period of time. That is a plausible explanation. They are overstocked on store shelves and don't want to clear it out at a discount. That would explain why it is only in the USA.
February 4, 201411 yr At least we are not having to guess anymore, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them sooner. Still, it is hard to wait, may have to schedule a business trip to an EU country.
February 4, 201411 yr I don't think the delay is because of the movie. LEGO has the ability to make a lot of parts in a short time so something else is going on. I heard from a few resellers and dealers that the new licenses(Movie and Simpsons) are the primary reason for the Technic delay in the USA ... To me it doesn't make much sense... Kind of off-topic, but one thing that I have noticed is that a fair amount of new systems sets for 2014 have quite a bit of Technic elements in them... More so than I think I've ever seen...
February 4, 201411 yr If they are running low on capacity for the USA, then the least they could do is a send a copy of each to my house. I'm sure u are well known with Lego. Do u not get priority on new sets? Can u not order from Lego shop online?
February 4, 201411 yr I haven't been on in a while. Anyways, I like the variety of motors included in the flagship. Does anybody know the piece count for the loader?

It is illogical explanation. Because these are different market segments with different target audience, and they should not affect each other. For example, the entire range of LEGO, I'm interested only in series "Technic", while the other series me do not care. Edited February 4, 201411 yr by Vicont45
February 4, 201411 yr Told my kids this today and they were not happy. But my daughter wants to get the monster truck from last year now. My twins birthday was Jan 2 and I told them with their money they could get the cargo plane, that didn't happen.... Scott
February 4, 201411 yr btw has anyone noticed THIS: http://www.flickr.co...08/12212038034/ thats a whole lot of black 5x11 panels Scroll a page (or two) back in this topic

For example, the entire range of LEGO, I'm interested only in series "Technic", while the other series me do not care. LEGO has a finite amount of resources, including manufacturing capacity and marketing budget and personnel. Normally these are spread across persisting themes (System, Technic, etc.) and limited-time themes (Ninjago, etc.). It's possible that the movie requires so many resources (again, manufacturing for tie-in sets, and certainly it is using marketing resources) that some other areas are suffering temporarily. That's just speculation on my part, but TLG has advertised some jobs recently (in the US) where the job description explicitly said they wanted people to help allocate resources between different efforts.
February 5, 201411 yr Slightly off topic, but does anyone think the release of the new Loader will increase interest in the old sets, like 8828 and such?
February 5, 201411 yr Slightly off topic, but does anyone think the release of the new Loader will increase interest in the old sets, like 8828 and such? Oooh a lady....yes it will but for a period, I have both the older sets by the way.... Edited February 5, 201411 yr by Alasdair Ryan

February 5, 201411 yr Is there any reason for the total absence of bulldozer pictures when it was side by side with the other models?
February 5, 201411 yr Is there any reason for the total absence of bulldozer pictures when it was side by side with the other models? I wonder too, it seems strange. Unless they want to keep it "secret", but that wouldn't make sense as they're showing it off on the Nürnberg toy fair...
February 5, 201411 yr I wonder too, it seems strange. Unless they want to keep it "secret", but that wouldn't make sense as they're showing it off on the Nürnberg toy fair... It seems no one was bothered taking photos of 42028. Must not have been that special.
February 5, 201411 yr It seems no one was bothered taking photos of 42028. Must not have been that special. Honestly I can not understand why about this set do not have any information? Is this set so much that it is worthless do not want us to highlight? A small piece of this set is not a video does not count: ( Edited February 5, 201411 yr by 0RBlT

February 5, 201411 yr OMG that dozer looks dreadful. OK no need to complain about the loader having open areas. This thing is much worse.
