Maaboo the Witch Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 i really wonder about construction crew b model.. united one model or each three models?? Totally in wonderment about that too. I'm thinking a tracked loader could be one, as we've got both a loader and an excavator. Till we've got pics of the B-models, though... Quote
LegoMonkeyMan Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Hopefully they make more remote controlled sets. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hopefully they make more remote controlled sets. I'd like that too. LEGO have reissued sets in the past - why not have a rerelease of 8275 or 8043? Or maybe even a new set with RC? Quote
z3_2drive Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 All I could dream for is a new supercar with mostly manual functions with new gearbox and drivetrain/suspension parts Quote
Waterkamp Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I'd like that too. LEGO have reissued sets in the past - why not have a rerelease of 8275 or 8043? Or maybe even a new set with RC? rerelease old set like 8275 or 8043 seems unlikely, but i'm guessing 2H 2014 would be the RC flagship. hopefully. Quote
allanp Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I'm all for RC as long as it's there just as an added bonus. Quote
Pyropetepete Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 60cm wide and a bit longer I think Sweet :) Quote
Junpei Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I'm all for RC as long as it's there just as an added bonus. An added bonus? I think we need realistic suspension parts and deeper rims for a better turning radius. A manual car with that would be better and less expensive IMO. Quote

A manual car with that would be better and less expensive IMO. I fully agree. My point was that if they release a supercar for example, then it's main focus should be on realistic suspension, transmission and releasing new parts to achieve that and so on, like I've said before. But if they must make it RC then I think it should only be after they have done that and that functional authenticity should in no way be compromised to make it RC, like they have done badly for every RC set ever released so far. Alasdair Ryan Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) like they have done badly for every RC set ever released so far. The dozer is a fun set to play with.... I don't think lego will make a truly fantastic rc car or what ever, lego has very high standards in which there models must a achieve. So there for I would rule out any fantastic rc car. z3_2drive Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Unless they design new parts/motors. I think I've reached the limit with my latest build. Any further would require better motors and a stronger but greater variety of suspension/driveline parts. The weak point of my V1-V3 cars were the u-joints, as I even broke the old red ones. V4 has a suspended solid direct drive axle to get around that. Better motors would help support the weight of the car and increase acceleration - which is what stops me from being able to use a body for the chassis. Quote

Ondra Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Rc flagship is big possibility, but what kind of vehicle?Rc sportscar is big possibility. Quote
Mtx Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I hope that flagship isn't another boring supercar... We have had those allready and still the 8880 is the best one of them all... Quote
Junpei Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 We don't need an RC sportscar, honestly those are OK, but i think they should me MOC's, not sets. Maybe an RC boat for a change. I agree with Mtx, no more boring supercars, just buy a used 8880. Unless they make new suspension parts... Quote
Matt The Tuba Guy Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 A space shuttle wouldn't really make sense now. The time for a new Technic Space Shuttle was a couple of years ago just as they were finishing their service. A large scale Curiosity rover would be extremely awesome though! A flagship crawler crane would also be quite cool, it would probably be the largest LEGO set ever by physical dimensions. Quote
N-4K0 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 A studless re-issue of the space shuttle could still be done. The purpose of space shuttles may be over, but it's not too late to do it as a tribute. Quote
Junpei Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I never thought of a Curiosity rover, I think that's a wonderful idea! RC driving, steering, camera, etc. with lots of model-team details and pneumatics! And look at those wheels! Does the width of the tires remind you of some wheels we can never seem to get enough of? Quote
Matt The Tuba Guy Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Curiosity rover with 6x power puller wheels? Curiosity wheels = 50cm diameter, PP wheel ~ 10cm diameter, scale = 1:5 dimensions = 2.9m long, 2.7m wide, 2.2m high, scaled = 58cm long, 54cm wide. 44cm high. That may actually be a possibility! It would be rather large, and possibly set a new part count record for Technic, but it would definitely be the best Technic set ever! Quote
Junpei Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 44 cm high? I like that. So are you saying something around the scale of this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87320#entry1709432 ? :excited: The more I think about it the more it seems like a Lego flagship set already! After the plane is released they will have all the panels ready :) Quote
