Erik Leppen Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I was hoping the four corner holes were in another orientation (similar to the ends of the 5x11 frame). The way drawn above would not add much to the existing combination of two 2x3 cross blocks connected at their axle holes with 1x3x0.5 liftarms. Quote
weavil Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 But in the the picture of the snowmobile it has axles in the corners. A 4L with stop and what might be a 5L in the bottom. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 OK, honestly I like pneumatics more and agree mostly with Maaboo35's wish; Reissue of 8455. But with 4 equal size tires with pattern like Unimog tire and 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering and 4 cylinder engine Thanks for the candor! Jim is right, though, so back to the 2014 stuff. Seems the images we've been discussing have been removed! Quote
bacem Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 if you mean those preliminary pictures, i still have them in my computer. but since the original has been removed, i'm not sure if i'm allowed to posted them here again or not. Quote

allanp Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) I think it was wise to make a grader as a b-model. Many people have asked for one but I personally don't think a grader would work well as an a-model because as a vehicle it is not so well known or easy for kids to tell what it is as something like a cement lorry or fork lift truck. Perhaps it would have been better if it was the b-model to an all yellow set. BTW, should be ok to directly post these pictures on this forum as they have no markings to say they are confidential. allanp Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) That cargo plane just got ¿awesomer? For sure, it looks fantastic. The designers did a great job and the colours are fantastic. Now just needs some cool functionality to make it a sure purchase! I'm hoping for (to go with the standard PF stuff) some real plane like functionality, something along the lines of a single control stick that moves pitch flaps when you move it forward/back and seperate roll flaps when you move it left/right via some cool linkage. Could even include the rudder into the same control stick so that the rudder moves when you twist the control stick. Although I doubt it, it would be awesome to have the pilot and co-pilots controls move with them as well! Will it be something like that or just the PF stuff? Either way it looks great Edited November 21, 2013 by allanp Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 (edited) Oh man, that plane is fantastic! If it ends up having a full set of control surfaces, this could end up being one of my favorite sets ever. Love the color scheme and number of functions. Awesome B-model as well. I've never build a b-model, but this could be a first. Love this set! Side note: I can't help but notice the similarities between the wings on my Piper Super Cub moc and the wings on this plane. Makes me wonder if the designers have seen my video. Edited November 21, 2013 by dhc6twinotter Quote
Jim Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 The plane and it's B-model are awesome! Not sure that Bol.com was allowed to do this. I am working on two reviews, for the Container Truck and Construction Crew. These reviews will go live on the 1st of December and I couldn't post any pictures beforehand. The plane is in the back of one of the booklets. I was already drooling over it. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 It looks like there are 4 control sticks on top of the plane. My guess for plane functions: Front two sticks operate the gearbox: -Front cockpit open/close -Rear ramp open/close -Props on/off -Landing gear Center stick: -Left/right movement controls ailerons -Forward/backward movement controls elevators Rear stick (in the blue part of tail): -Left/right movement controls rudder Just my guess. functions of center and rear stick may be reversed from what I've posted. Also, the hovercraft appears to have an opening front. Mini-LAs are visible below the bridge, as is the m-motor. It looks like the top opens upward, and there may be a ramp that folds down in the front as well. I'm pretty excited about this set! Quote
jantjeuh Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Well, that seals it. I'm getting the cargo plane Quote
BigTonka Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 So many stickers on the plane... I really don't like that. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Yee Haw! I uploaded most of the pictures to my Brickshelf account, for your viewing pleasure. Now, how's about some analysis? 42020 The box isn't anything really special, nothing we haven't already seen. B model The B model is absolutely adorable! By itself: 42021 changes somewhat form the earlier images, gaining some funky lime green and black stickers. B Model ......... WTF is this!? In this picture, we can more clearly the new dog bone piece, as well as something else. See those black pins on the wishbone arms? I think those are new. 42022 Oddly, this box is the only one that has the Building Digital placard. I dunno what that means. Also, what is up with the blower? That connection should be impossible. B model More info about the app, and it looks like we've got two of the new tires on the back wheels. Also, it looks as if the exaust tips are new parts. 42023 Looks like the wheel loader has the new tires. Also, the truck's cab has been massively redesigned, no longer incorporating blue panels, and looking more cohesive. In addition, the excavator has changed quite a bit, and the bigger boulder parts were swapped out for 2x2 round bricks. Back of box: No b models, sadly. 42024 This shows that we are getting a 5x11 yellow panel! B model and back of box: I have no comment on the grader. 42025 Awww Yeah! This looks even better with stickers. I've got to get a better job so I can buy these! B Model This is going to be one of the biggest hovercraft models Lego has ever made. 42026 and 42027 I'm lumping these two together, cause I care very little about them. Combo model It looks like it's going to be a good year, with the plane. I'm waiting on everything else. Sadly, I cannot read the dimensions on the new tires. Quote
jantjeuh Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Those black pins look like 3/4 pins. I was curious about the blower on the hot rod as well... can't figure out how they made that connection. Maybe they accidentally photoshop'ed out some 4 axles with stops Container truck is growing on me by the way. Edited November 22, 2013 by jantjeuh Quote
Saberwing40k Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 You know, everybody seems to have forgotten about 42021, as the first post has not been edited to include it. Quote
