dhc6twinotter Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Nice to see two yellow panels on the skip truck! I'm liking the exhaust pipes on the hot rod too! Crossaxle 3M With Knob? you could push that 3-long liftarm against the stud Exactly what I'm thinking as well. Quote
Bricknblue Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The last Technic set I owned was a red car from probably 1998ish but that plane is awesome. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Out of those I think only the skip bin truck really jumps out at me. Quote
TBS Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Thx for the Pics... some things i noticed.. we get 13L liftarms in Lime, in the snowmobile... really cool set... i also noticed that part no. 44 comes in blue now in the 42023 construction crew. If you compare the pix to the prelim ones this set went trough a massive redone (to the worse IMHO), all the blue panels are gone on the truck. The excavator lost its red ones too. His base is redone very well. Also the parts no. 32184 in yellow on the loader cab is gone. This would have been highly appreciated after ~10 years out of production. We also get the new tires in 3 sets 42022,42023,and 42024 now, which is great. The blue micropanels taken out on the 42023 dumper, reappear in the freight plane on the wings ends. A really cool set to me too, i bet it´ll feature 3 large stickers sheets and an award for most stickers parts in a set, but i also can understand the designers because there is a lot of volume to be "painted". The second color of the 42027 has been switched from DBG to Black, so no new connectors #2 in DBG. My most favourite, the 42023 dumper, has been crippled to the bone, but the other sets have grown on me so far. Tom Quote
Jim Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 You know, everybody seems to have forgotten about 42021, as the first post has not been edited to include it. True! Totally forgot it. Will edit the first post. Quote

TinkerBrick Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I'm excited about the upcoming building instructions app (shown on the B-model picture of 42022). This would be a lot more convenient. Not having to browse the TLG website, downloading a pdf in questionable quality, opening in it/or importing into iBooks. I'd be happy if TLG would remaster all the instructions that sometimes look they manually scanned from the sole remaining print out and put together to a PDF file by a HighSchool student intern. MrTekneex Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 At first to be honest I was a little skeptical, but seeing him with the stickers, cargo plane has a completely different face. I love it, and I will take it! Quote
paul_delahaye Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Wow, those B models are poor, I know we all wanted a grader.......but Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Wow, those B models are poor, I know we all wanted a grader.......but That's a scraper, not a grader, I believe. Interestingly, the last time we saw a scraper was back in '03 with the 8453 loader, which is incredibly similar to the one in 42023. Ooooops! Now I see the one you mean. I thought you were talking about 42023's B-model! Wow, that's one colourful grader! Edited November 24, 2013 by Maaboo35 Quote
LegoMonkeyMan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 does anybody know if there is a B-model for the construction crew Quote
Jim Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 does anybody know if there is a B-model for the construction crew A Road Grader for the Front Loader. This is visible in the lower left corner of the back side of the box. Not sure about the other two models. Quote

Jim Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 There is no B-model for the construction crew. So it's not an official B-model? Quote
Anio Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 So it's not an official B-model? Maybe just the frontloader. Maybe not. One thing is sure : I have 42023 on my desk for some time, and it has no B-model like other regular sets. This is at least what I understand when I analyze the box. And it make sense with the inventory. The inventory of the frontloader is useful and may be turned into something new. The inventory of the blue truck and the red excavator are very specialized. Not so easy to make 2 other B-model with that stuff. Quote

Paul Boratko Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 A cool B model for the construction crew would have been a robot comprised of all 3 vehicles... Quote
