jantjeuh Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) No pneumatics, only LA's. Fully RC with 4 motors (including servo)! Also with a huge bucket. Edited January 5, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote
merman Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) hmm any new parts? won't the current LA's be way too small? And bigger wheels? Edited January 5, 2014 by merman Quote
Conchas Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 hmm any new parts? won't the current LA's be way too big? How come, if they were not too big for the smaller 8265? Eventually you may think they're a bit small. Not the opposite. Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) It's going to be a must-buy for the motors and receivers alone Will bring down the prices big time hopefully. Edited January 5, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote

Gee Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Daft question, but by 2H do they mean second half of the year (as in June release) or just that it's the 2nd half of the 2014 sets? Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Hmm do you guys think there will be a technic challenge this year? There wasn't last year. :( Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I wonder will the new bucket be suited for a excavator as well? Daft question, but by 2H do they mean second half of the year (as in June release) or just that it's the 2nd half of the 2014 sets? August. Quote
efferman Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) conchas has posted this in his blog comments 1XL2L1SV2IR2R is this the transcription? 1XL motor 2L motors 1S motor? 2 receivers and transmitters? Edited January 5, 2014 by efferman Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 SV = servo. 1 XL for drive, 2 L's for the bucket, 1 servo for steering. 2 IR v2's and controllers for RC. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 conchas has posted this in his blog comments is this the transcription? 1XL motor 2L motors 1S motor? 2 receivers and transmitters? I was expecting the same,it will have a turntable or gear connected to the servo for steering. Long live Pneumatics. Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Basically going to be the 8043's 'successor' Can't wait, the 1H models have been a bit disappointing IMO. Edited January 5, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote
Paul Boratko Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Hmm do you guys think there will be a technic challenge this year? There wasn't last year. :( I would rather not see anymore challenges unless Lego can work out a better system.. There seemed to be quite a bit of controversy with the crawler body challenge... Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Oh does Conchas know if the hubs are yellow on the loader? Quote
davidmull Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 It will have LA's, no pneumatics. Will be a great set but pneumatic + rc would have been great :( Quote

allanp Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Well, I think I've got enough info to build the darned thing by now. Unimog wheels, XL for drive, 2 L motors for bucket movements, servo for steering and more of the same gearboxes and LAs to complete. Do we even need a picture? Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Well, I'd rather have full RC than pneumatics. And yes, hubs will be yellow. Quote

davidmull Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 This is where the mod community come in. Never the same really, would have liked to see lego come up with it! I am looking forward too seeing the first pictures though :) If the bucket is too big to fit into a standard flagship box it must be big. Will the unimog tires be big enough for a model this big! Are we talking same scale as 8110? Well, I'd rather have full RC than pneumatics. And yes, hubs will be yellow. Both would have been nice together. Quote
