Ondra Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Thanks, I was pretty shocked of that mention of 8081 wheels. So everything is fine and I cant wait for this pickup rather than for wheel loader(Im not fan of lego fully motorized vehicles) . Quote
rm8 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Looking at the bad picture, I see that bonnet is like in 9395 made by big fairing panels 5x11. Doors like in 8265b model (or 41999 but reversed fairing) : curved 3x11 + big long fairing panel 3x11. Base is long. Short cab. Lights on the roof. Independent suspension 4wd with 3 differentials Front hog steering V6 or v8 under the bonnet Openable bonnet, doors, tilting bed Winch Hope they add some new functions , like low gear or 2wd/4wd selector, cause all functions are old and simple. (even 8297 has adjustable suspension and doors with absorbers). But its very playable in my eyes. Since its a pickup, solid rear axle is better. May be this truck is something like baja trophy truck. Anyways, I want to pimp it. P.s. 2 days to Nuremberg Toy Fair 2014:) Edited January 27, 2014 by rm8 Quote
AndroTech Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) I hope is not true, that this heavy pickup will have that low profile 8081 wheels on final model. That balon tyres from preliminary looks great for this kind of vehicle.Wheels from 8081 looks bad even on 8081 himself. 8081 doesn't have low profile tyres ...... but yes, the tyres on the new pick-up are the same as 42005 tyres ...... peter_m Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Independent suspension 4wd with 3 differentials Front hog steering V6 or v8 under the bonnet Openable bonnet, doors, tilting bed Winch You have drawn those conclusions based on this picture -> http://tinypic.com/v...=5#.UuYOy2Q1i2w ? Or have I missed one that came later? Edited January 27, 2014 by peter_m Quote

Yes, just 1 pic. Almost every year Lego introduces the same functions in new models:) may be 2-3 new parts, that improve construction, but no new functions... Quote
Conchas Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Yeah, just 1 pic, but not that one leaked... Maybe the remaining part of it. And it also has stickers on the doors and bonnet. And a couple of ribbed hoses. Quote
Cwetqo Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Bonnet doesn have any 5x11 panels. It is made of two "Technic, Panel Fairing #17 Large Smooth" Between them is not 5x11 panel but opening for engine, which sticks out. Quote
Ondra Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 IIRC this going to be first car set with 4WD in medium range .Interesting why this happen? Can be new steering pieces main cause? I think that this set will have huge success, it seems that will have everything that kids are expecting from car like this.Packed in fairy big model and non supercar price tag. But it seems, that also my dream of car like this come true :-) . Quote
rm8 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I'd not bet this is 4WD... Are you sure? No 4wd?? Quote
Conchas Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 No, I'm not sure! Just I'd not bet it is. Quote
rm8 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 No, I'm not sure! Just I'd not bet it is. There is enough pseudo offroaders with rear wheel drive in LEGO history.... Quote
Conchas Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Indeed, but I'm afraid history will continue to be what it uses to be... Quote
jorgeopesi Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 There is enough pseudo offroaders with rear wheel drive in LEGO history.... Lego is for new children not for the ones who have seen a lot of sets . Quote
rm8 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Lego is for new children not for the ones who have seen a lot of sets . Technical progress made it possible to do such simple things like 4wd. Why not? Of course, we can do it by ourselves, but fact that set is 4wd is a good promotion for this set, that can be used in advertising company! Y Quote
AndroTech Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Are you sure? No 4wd?? Actually .... the full name is Customized Pick up Truck, so I also believe, that is just RWD .... extra diff and parts for front wheel drive, would make higher price for the model ... Quote
Paul Boratko Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I'd not bet this is 4WD... I agree... Quote

jantjeuh Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Specially for davidmull: the Nuremburg Toy Fair 2014 starts tomorrow, so we should be expecting decent pictures (and video) of the 2H lineup very soon! Quote

Technic Gearhead Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm really anxious to see the Bulldozer for some reason and of course the Front Loader. Quote
EyesOnly Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Regarding these new pictures. Will they stay or do they risk being removed? I'm asking so i know how closely to monitor this thread in tomorrow. TB removed some posts last fall that i didn't get to see regarding the 1h sets and another regarding the loader that i did get to see even though it only mentioned the real thing without saying anything if it would be a model, even though it of course did become one. Now i'm worried about pictures being posted and then deleted before i have time to save them. Funny BTW how this forum works. 51 pages yet only one picture each of two of the three sets we are waiting for. And those were blurry. Then again it is called discussion and speculation not rate these pictures. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm really anxious to see the Bulldozer for some reason and of course the Front Loader. For a small model, it looks excellent.. It has a very creatively designed front blade using small panels and a V4 Engine... Quote
Conchas Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think it is the first time we will see a triangular shape tracked drivetrain, into an official set. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think it is the first time we will see a triangular shape tracked drivetrain, into an official set. 8275. All I'm gonna say. I think the 42006 b model also has triangle tracks. Then there are the snowmobiles... Quote
