rm8 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Something like this but with longer fuselage: Quote
jantjeuh Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Really, really, curious about that plane. Thanks for the information. When was the last time TLG has done a proper plane anyway (not counting that red 'jet' a few years ago)? Edited October 7, 2013 by jantjeuh Quote
peter_m Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Too early to thank! Do you think thats all? Top set of 1H will be a HUGE cargo aircraft with price about 150 Euro. It will be equipped with L motor. Functions: retracting chassis, opening rear platform, lifting whole cabin to open access to cargo bay, rotating propellers And a stick near the tail that controls ailerons and flaps. The coolest thing here is color. It is fully white with some blue parts. Number of panels is big! Length of model is about 60 cm. box is like 9397 logging truck. I don't like you Egor... First you screw my budget with your gorgeous 41999 and now you bring all the juicy news... Blah :P I want this plane badly! No photo required! Quote
D3K Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I hope you're not screwing with us now, because that plane sounds absolutely awesome,a breath of fresh air! Quote

Blah :P I want this plane badly! No photo required! Personally, I am very interested in new tires that will be used at container truck and construction crew. Also new hot rod is very interesting. Plane is a very good for many white parts! Oh no, first leak. Photo is not mine, but was leaked. Feel guilty myself, but if not me - someone other will do it:)) https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-U7I2TVXK49A/UlMaRiD6l9I/AAAAAAAAWvw/apIBq_pbkrk/s640/2013_10_%2525208_%2525200_32.jpg Edited October 7, 2013 by rm8 Quote
jantjeuh Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) That looks like a lot of white panels indeed. Also looks like body can easily be lengthened to create a proper transport plane. Very promising all in all. Edited October 7, 2013 by jantjeuh Quote

rm8 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Ha! It will look great next to 9396! Modified 9396? Quote
jantjeuh Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Tell that Russian to buy a better camera ;-) But yes, I was also reminded of 9396. Probably the shape of the nose. Quote
peter_m Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Modified 9396? No, standard A-model. As jantjeuh said - the shape of the "nose" is similar. At least from what can be seen on the pic. The color makes me even more excited as I have bought 32 white 1x5x11 panels lately (new for $1 a piece in Prague!) - I now need some smaller ones :) Edited October 7, 2013 by peter_m Quote
Ondra Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 WOW, I was scared when I first see description of sets and I decided to not buy any. But this plane change everything, I wait for this set for decades. Thanks lego, best lego technic set of 2014 and that year doesnt even start! Quote
Rishab N Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Wow that plane looks amazing. I' ll probably buy it instead of getting an older set Quote
TimH Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Thanks for the new set details rm8. I'm looking forward to seeing a better photo of the plane. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I turn around for five minutes, and look what happens? So, I'm kinda curious about the plane, and also the construction crew. Does the construction crew only include vehicles? Quote
CP5670 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The plane looks great, a real successor to 8855. I'm not sure about its functionality but might get it just for the unusual concept and color scheme. It's been ages since we had a flagship set that wasn't a construction or off-road vehicle. The construction crew also sounds interesting. The idea of combining several smaller vehicles is common in other Lego themes, but has only been done once before in Technic with 8872. Quote

Zef Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Skip truck sounds great can't wait :) at least it will lift skips the plane won't fly so not for me :) Maybe we can rig the propellors to rotate fast enough for some lift. Quote

Cwetqo Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I've also seen all new sets. Plane is really nice, with lots of new 3 wide panels. Motor is sadly not L, but M. Other sets are disapointing. That "crew" set is just a mix of three mediocre 20euro sets and container stacker is to small and to roughly made. I also dont like snowmobile. Its just too basic. Quote
Jim Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I am glad that some of the sets are disappointing Quote
