jantjeuh Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 IMO this would be a perfect small pneumatic model... Agreed, seems perfectly suited for it. I guess TLG doesn't like taking chances anymore. Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) It might be fun to add pneumatics to the small dozer. If you want it done right, sometimes it's better to do it yourself! I recently built the 42006 B model and thought it had some nice details for a similar size even though the mechanics were very simple. Edited February 15, 2014 by Technic Gearhead Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hm. That bulldozer looks a bit dull now I've seen it up close. Quote
N-4K0 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I didn't have the chance to get the 8275 as it was released before I got back into Lego. From the pics, it's too big for my taste, and I'm not a big fan of studded beams. I doubt I would have bought it even if I had the chance. That said, I'm starting to like the 42028. I'm seriously considering to get it. Edited February 15, 2014 by Error404 Quote
Lakop Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 That bulldozer is an interesting one. Is it another part of the construction crew. H Quote
Pat-Ard Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hmmm, the more I look at the 2H sets I think I'll only go for the pickup... Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I'm going to skip the bulldozer. It looks like the cargo plane will be my only 2014 Technic purchase. That just means more money for City sets! Woohoo! The arctic theme is nice, and I like the new modular restaurant. Quote
unimog123 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hmmm, the more I look at the 2H sets I think I'll only go for the pickup... Really, why? I do not really like the pickup truck very much. Are you just getting it for the parts? Anyway it's up to you as to which sets you like. For me though, I want the bulldozer. Quote
N-4K0 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The bulldozer is small enough to (probably) get a nice price and yet not too small, and I think it looks cool despite being a bit simple of design and look. Quote
irispen Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Oh lego.. why a small scale d11 bulldozer? D8 with same scale as 42006 would be better.. :( Quote
gmshades Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I can't even look at the 2h sets, still waiting for the 1h sets to come out. I guess they will just be called 2014 sets when they all come out together. Quote

In S@H for Poland they were available since early January. Quote
DrJB Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The 'long wait' is rather frustrating in the US ... I wonder, has anyone (from the US) ordered from TLG in a European country and have it shipped to the US? ... I bet shipping will be 'nominal' as TLG often does that. Quote
weavil Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The bulldozer looks like a parts set, but I'll pass because I have enough treads as it is. But on my wish list is the loader, cargo plane, snowmobile, and truck. I like those sets and parts. Quote

I tried to do it once the other way round (USA -> Poland) and I failed. Quote

I bet shipping will be 'nominal' as TLG often does that. I tried doing that, since German S@H doesn't have any promo this month (others have "TLM Piece of Resistance") but once you select other country, you cannot change delivery country, i.e. specific S@H ships to its country only. marder Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 It will be 1700 rubles in Russia, so it will cost ~55 USD or ~45 EURO, so who is late for 8275 will have a chance to buy couple and build exellent bulldozer. Quote
GoldVillage Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I highly doubt the new bulldozer will cost anywhere near $55... IF so its really overpriced. 42004 has like what, 250 pieces and costs about $25? compared to that i think this only slightly larger bulldozer is worth about $30-35 for its (estimated) 300-350 pieces or so Quote
Thirdwigg Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I like the bulldozer. I don't think Technic sets always need to have a bunch of PF parts, and lots of hard to find elements. It's nice to seem simple functions in a smaller package, in a machine we have not seen for a while. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Oh lego.. why a small scale d11 bulldozer? D8 with same scale as 42006 would be better.. :( I think Lego needs less pieces for a D11, a D8 would need a bigger cabin. Quote
aol000xw Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 That thing is unexpectedly small... and ugly. Pending on the parts list and price It is a pass for me. Quote
D3K Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 IMO this would be a perfect small pneumatic model... Absolutely agree! By putting two cylinders in the front to lift the blade, and one in the back for the ripper, they would have made this quite boring set into something with way way more appeal! As it is now, you have the worm drive to 8 tooth gear solution both in the front and back, and that IMO is the most boring of ways to make something move... Quote
GoldVillage Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Why do ppl bashing a model we yet havent get our hands n yet? i definitely welcome a smaller more simple bulldozer in a world of battery powered giants, and btw... are ppl too lazy to rotate a couple of knobs to rise/lowering the blade and the ripper? because thats the only 2 functions ;) Quote

Most adult Technic fans don't give a shit to Lego models which are not motorized or motorisable (8293). Quote
