Maaboo the Witch Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Edit, Brickset via rebrickable: http://brickset.com/...028-1/Bulldozer Most creative use of steering racks EVER! Looking forward to this one. Quote
Bricktrain Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The old gear rack was used for grilles many times, 42000, 8386 for examples I was actually hoping it was the old type rather than the new one, the black racks are getting expensive. Quote
Blakbird Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I found all the 1H2014 Technic sets at the LEGO Store finally yesterday, so they have officially arrived in North America. They also had the 2H bulldozer. Quote
JGW3000 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Blakbird, did they have 42025 Cargo Airplane? Maybe worth an hour's drive north to get it finally, if so. Quote

Did you happen to get the official prices for the 42024 and 42025? 42025 was $139.99. I don't remember what 42024 was but I can check when I get home. Quote
syy89 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Awesome! I'm assuming they've hit Canada as well. Don't have a LEGO Store in my area (yet), so I'll have to check some of my local Toys R Us's to see if they have them. Quote
Tomahawker Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 42025 was $139.99. Thanks. That's a little higher than I had hoped for, but it compares to the price and complexity of the 9397 Logging Truck. I guess I should be thankful that it is finally for sale in the US. I wonder if all the 1H-2014 and 2H-2014 Technic sets will appear at S@H on August 1st? Quote
rollermonkey Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 The main Lego products page for Technic has all the new sets shown, but a couple aren't in the store yet even as previews... But since the brick and mortar company stores have everything but the Volvo for sale already, I'm sure everything will go live online right on time. Quote
syy89 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Looks like 42022, 23, 24, 25, 28, and 30 have been added to S@H in North America finally! They will all be available on August 1. 42029 is not there yet for some reason. Edited July 19, 2014 by syy89 Quote
syy89 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Has anyone in North America seen the rest of the 1H14 or any of the 2H14 Technic sets at Toys R Us yet? I've checked two of the five stores in my area since yesterday and haven't seen any of them. I'll probably check the other three a bit later. Quote

I've checked two of the five stores in my area since yesterday and haven't seen any of them. I'll probably check the other three a bit later. Problem with that is TRU's, at least the 4 close to where I live in a major metro area, still have tons of 2013 stock left, and with the sheer amount of new Technic releases, I am rather sure they won't carry them all, or maybe any for a while, too much real estate is taken up by the older sets. I have seen the smaller 1H2014 sets there, but not the medium to large sets that I want to buy, mainly the 42030. I picked up the 42023, 24 and 25 from Amazon. Paid too much but I wanted them and they were available from sellers importing them to the USA. Toys R Us in Green Bay WI has all of the 1H14 and 2H14 except for the bulldozer and pickup truck. I picked up 2 of the 42030's last night and they still have a few in stock. Are there still a lot of 2013 sets in stock at your store in Green Bay? I know the stores in my neck of the woods still have a lot of the larger sets from 2013 like the 42009, 42008, 42006 and 9398 making it nearly impossible to stock any new sets. I keep checking one of them nearby, but the other 3 stores are a ways away. And it seems like every time you call a TRU to check stock, it always seems like an inconvenience to the cust svc staff, and since they aren't up on the TRU website yet, you don't have their SKU# so its easy for them to check on their intranet whether they are on the shelf, in the stockroom or coming at all. When I checked on the status of the 42009 last fall, all I got was 'Huh' when I tried to describe it, and another time they said they had one at 1 store and it ended up being a City crane so I drove thru heavy traffic some 20 miles to find just that, not the Technic MKII crane...sigh Quote

They just don't have the bulldozer or pickup yet. When I checked out, the cashier said they always get them in a few weeks before official release date, probably since the nearest Lego store is 2 hours away in Milwaukee Quote
DarkShadow73 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Yeah they still have quite a few of the 2013 stock left including the 9339, 42009, 42008 and 42006, but this store section has 2 full aisles plus a few end-caps for Lego, so they have plenty of room to stock. They just don't have the bulldozer or pickup yet. When I checked out, the cashier said they always get them in a few weeks before official release date, probably since the nearest Lego store is 2 hours away in Milwaukee And all I want is the 42030 I did call 2 in the area today and they checked and nothing. In the past when I was looking forward to a new release (and yeah TRU does tend to stock items weeks before release, you're right there) and they didn't have it out, they had a system (not their website) that would check whether items were on order or not and also what stores in like a 500 mile radius had them in stock or on order. Neither store I talked to said they had such a system but I know they do, that's the problem, TRU nowadays has such a skeleton crew, they don't really help much like they used to, and a lot of times when they say they are going to look for an item you call about you rather wonder if they really look or not. In this case, I did check the nearest store and all they had was TONS of 2013 stock along with a few of small 1H2014 sets. Evidently Technic must not be a big seller in the US, I've heard it sells like mad in Europe. That being said, how did most of Europe and Asia get 1H2014 larger sets around Christmas, and US and Canada got nothing officially as of yet, that's really odd, not even on TRU or S@H warehousing websites. Ah well, guess just have to wait until 1 Aug for official release on S@H and hope they don't immediately sell out of the 42030. I thought they used to have a pre-order option, especially being so close to release when their offerings just went on the site less than a week ago... Quote
Blakbird Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 42030 just showed up at my local Lego Store today. Still no 42029. Quote
captainmib Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) The price of this set (42030) at the lego shop, i mean, what are they thinking... US price = $ 250 = € 185 NL price = € 250 = $ 337 DE price = € 220 = $ 296 You tell me how this set is worth € 65 more only because i live in the Netherlands? And i'm sure the Americans here are not going to pay $ 337 for this. The US price is getting close to what I want to pay for this set... Edited July 23, 2014 by captainmib Quote
zux Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 US price = $ 250 = € 185 NL price = € 250 = $ 337 DE price = € 220 = $ 296 ... and 260€ in Lithuania. It would be cheaper to order one in Germany and pay 20€ for shipping. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 The prices in the European S@H stores include VAT/sales tax. Afaik in the US the VAT is added at checkout according to the VAT of the state the bill goes to. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 In Britain it's £170=$290USD and 215Euro (my keyboard doesn't have the symbol) so possibly the cheapest if you take into account VAT in the US, normally in Britain it's slightly more than Europe Quote
Blakbird Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 You tell me how this set is worth € 65 more only because i live in the Netherlands? Worth is a tricky thing. I product is worth exactly what people will pay for it. You are quite right that Americans would not pay $339 for this product. Technic is not very popular here to begin with. But apparently some (enough) Dutch will pay that. This forum is ample proof that the Dutch like Technic much more than Americans do! The prices in the European S@H stores include VAT/sales tax. Afaik in the US the VAT is added at checkout according to the VAT of the state the bill goes to. That's quite right. It my state the actual price is 10% higher than the listed price. We don't call it "VAT", but sales tax is that same kind of thing. Quote
MikeTwo9398 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 42030 just showed up at my local Lego Store today. Still no 42029. Yesterday I saw in our local toystore (intertoys) the 42028 (nl € 41.99) and the 42029 (nl € 99.99) but no 42030 (nl € 250). Quote
Bricktrain Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 There are plenty of them on Bricklink for 175Euro Quote
