Well, both of the types of collaborations you mentioned exist. Since I have no contact whatsoever with any other members on this site, the kind of collaboration I'm talking about is where we include our sigfigs in each other's builds. It's basically two story lines connected. 

That sounds cool.  I'll PM you to discuss possible details.  Is there a pic of your sigfig somewhere on the forums?

After seeing my recent post had only two comments, I'm feeling really down.  So I have a few questions for my fellow Avalonians. How do you make people want to read your posts? I can admit that mine had less content and was in LDD, which seems rather undesirable here. Is it quality? Do people set a higher standard for LDD? Maybe I'm in the wrong here? Are there any tips you have for me? Thank you in advance; I'm just trying to find what I did wrong.

Well for one, you didn't do anything wrong  For another, not every post/freebuild gets a bunch of replies. Sometimes people just don't have anything to say, sometimes they don't have the time to check every post either. You're perfectly fine, and our appreciation for your contribution to GoH isn't going anywhere.

It's not you, it's the time of the year. Christmas and hollidays keep people busy, and these who aren't doing that are sqeezing everything out of the CCC. I admit that LDD usually gets less attention than real bricks, but not that less... Just keep building on!  

Well said guys ; i get that people are busy this time of year. I'm currently discussing a collaboration with someone, so I should be able to get a build soon. Also, Titus, about the collaboration you mentioned; is there any way I can be part of it?

Anyways, my first build is up. C&C is welcome.

As the others said, I'd try not to sweat it; I've been trying to catch up on my phone, which is kind of a poor substitute for a computer for typing long messages.  I am driving home for the holidays now and probably won't have much time between now and after the new year to get back to folks.  I have been trying to drop in to a few threads here and there where I can and leave comments, but I have a page of stuff that I'd still like to comment on. 

As for the pictures, I find that it's harder to see things on LDD, so it might be useful to include 1-2 more angles of the same builds so you can see more.  For the smaller minifig shot, it looks fine, but for the one with all the troops, they're packed together and it's a little hard to see the figures in any detail without seeing them from the sides.

I faded again cause rl mainly but I caught sight of the poster for the new challenge.

I don't know what you mean by "status". But I'll give you a brief summary, if that's what you mean. In a few short sentences, Nocturnus is in a civil war. You can see more about that here. Avalonia has nothing special, Mitgardia has nothing special, though the Algus supports Raavage. And Kaliphlin has nothing special, though I believe they are divided between three factions after the civil war. Hope that helps.

Hello and welcome.

I will try to answer.

1. The flags are not required in every build. Sometimes just using some dark green and sand green parts is enough. It is almost the rule in Freebuilds as I see it, your builds for the different Challenges are better if on a base and with flags, but not every builder does that anyway. So feel free in here. I have never put official flags in my builds for not having neither Dark green official flag nor Sand green one. And of course building out of Avalonia is good too. And you don't have to build the flags too.

2. Yes you can build anywhere. We had some great renditions of some different aspects of the Guilds through some great builders now, and some of them built in every corner of Historica. Check out this great rendition of Avalonia from Blufiji, a Nocturnian builder, for example.

3. No, you don't have to wear Green. Feel free again ! My Sigfig is mainly Brown and it's totally fine. Of course it would be a bit strange to wear red and blue but if it's fitting to your story and, for example, if you want an elvish lord dressed like that you can do this.

In other words, feel free to build !

And again, welcome to the Guilds and to Avalonia.

Ah ! And don't forget to check the new Challenge here !

1) Not at all. The guild colors flags used to be required only for your character intro image, but that hasn't been needed for quite some time. Putting flags in your builds is a choice.

2) Build where you like.

3) Not at all. Characters wear what they want.

I cannot imagine siding with Raavage and his Drow armies would sit well with most Avalonians...

As soon as we join Raavages side those cursed drow would backstab us and plunder our land. I personnely prefer the Alliance, as it seems a much more trust wothy side 

For Challenge 5, am I allowed to use the idea of Green Riders? I seem to remember that they were from Book I, created by a user who has been inactive for years. The idea sounds nice and has some potential, and could use some developing. I won't take the idea as mine. If not, that is fine.

So I'm gone for a week and I miss so much. There's been so many new builds. Anyways, I may introduce a new character, which will possibly tie in to my current sigfig's plot in Nocturnus right now. As for now, I'm going to start building for the other categories of the challenge.
