can we build stuff for the drow eg a tower?

If you're saying you want to participate to the Drow challenge, I think you cannot because this is an old challenge and it's closed now.

But if you want to build something for the Drow or against them (better be against them if you're Avalonian...) you're free to do so.

Myself I am building my storyline on a Drow attack against my city, so, I could (and will) build some Drow stuff (in order to attack them or to kick them out of my county !)

1. Are you still around? Certainly! Don't have time to comment as much as I would like though. I'm usually popping in daily, but sometimes it can go down to once or twice a week.

2. What are you working on? Just finished a bonsai tree build for a contest over at Swebrick. Next I'm looking to finish up a tutorial for the axe-tree technique that I've been working on for a while.

3. Where is the best play to see your work? Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/132714530@N02/

4. What Challenges and tasks have you completed? Don't think I've completed any actually. Been mostly building free builds.

@Wedge09: Good to see you in the guilds again!

Rogue Angel just initiated an Avalonian roll call of sorts:

Semi-Annual update

I build for two major display yearly, Brickworld in mid-June, and a local display at the end of November. I will be trying to update this page and the map at the end of June, so please let me know if you Avalonians are still paying attention by the end of May.

Please reply in this format.

1. Are you still around? It is fine if you are just watching the thread, but not actively participating. Just let me know that you still check in daily, weekly or monthly.

2. What are you working on? This can be Nothing, or other Lego projects un-related to GoH, or maybe you are working on something Avalonian, like I am.

3. Where is the best play to see your work? Please provide a website address to your Brickshelf/Flickr/Smugmug page.

4. What Challenges and tasks have you completed? If you want to include links to your builds, that would be great, but by no means necessary. I would much rather know what you've done by your accounts. Feel free to include minichallenges as well.

This will help me enormously in cleaning up the first post, so thanks in advance. (P.S., Anyone that does not respond will be listed as a "Legacy" Avalonian instead of Active.)

The 5th and final challenge of Book II will be coming next, and will be based in Nocturnus. The Frozen Beyond Contest ended a bit ago.

2. What are you working on? At the moment Im working on other LEGO projects but isn't excluded that I could build something for GoH sometime in the future :classic:

3. Where is the best play to see your work? My flickr page @ Wedge09

Lord Reinhard Sternvale,

more information will follow, for now though as I start working on my tasks (unless there is something else I should be doing?). How/were do I get a piece of land?

Great looking fig, nice to have you here in Avalonia!

Just highlight a section of land using the map and a photo editing program. Then you name it, and it's yours!

Thank you guys for the warm welcome I received a couple of weeks ago. I’ve spent some time reading over the past GOH history and lore and decided that Avalonia would best suit me. The lure of an enchanted forest was too much to ignore! So I would like to introduce my sig fig - Auriel to you all.

Introducing Auriel

NAME: Auriel of House Orthelon

RACE: Half-elf.

TITLES: None, because she was born of a human father. However her elven mother is of noble birth.

WEAPON OF CHOICE: Her ironwood stave, passed on to her from her late father.

Faer-o-dur

Auriel is a young elf who was born deep within the enchanted forest of Avalonia. She lives within a region of it called Faer-o-dur, which is governed by the ancient elven House of Orthelon. The House’s main concern has always been to protect the land from dark forces which it has done by forming two elite orders. The first order, the Doriath, comprise of highly skilled warriors who excel in the use of archery and quick, agile close combat. The second order, the Ellodar, is dedicated to the study and use of the mysterious forest magic. Both orders and the rest of the elven people living in Faer-o-dur are ruled by Forest Lord Malthenhir Orthelion, whose ancestors were led to Historica by the great elf Dallaenus. During the peace that followed the early drow wars, Malthenhir led his people deeper into the forest. In this region, now known as Faer-o-dur, they discovered a land strangely and beautifully changed by the mysterious magical forces that seemed to govern it. The importance to settle there was decided upon the discovery of a rare, magical gem formed within the numerous underground caverns and an equally rare, magical water shard. Later, similar magical crystals were found in plants, the mists and even the lava pools in the deepest depths of the caverns. It was deemed essential that these artefacts of power were not to fall into the wrong hands. Generations have passed with the Ellodar studying how to use the crystals but even to this day they have only unlocked a fraction of their power.

A small primitive hunter-gatherer tribe of humans have occupied some of the southern lands, as far back as anyone can remember. The forest is sacred to them so they endeavour to protect it. Other races of note to be found within Faer-o-dur are violent, blood thirsty orcs, greedy mischievous goblins and terrifying drow. All of which seek power and domination from the abuse of magic.

After living in Faer-o-dur for a significant time and facing ever-growing dark threats, the spirit of the forest chose six elves of House Orthelon to become powerful guardians of differing magical aspects – plant, animal, earth, fire, water and air. Upon their death a new guardian is chosen by the forest’s magic. With their help, the forest was kept safe for generations but then evil returned to the land and it seemed all was lost. However it was at that time that the human Artorious Rex and the Flight of Dragons joined the fight and helped free the forest and indeed all the lands of Avalonia from those dark forces.

Subsequently, the elves of Faer-o-dur started to work further with the Avalonian guild and agreed to a small Avalonian presence in their lands. This is based at the sole guild watchtower manned by a handful of soldiers. Although grateful for their aid, most elves here are reluctant and fearful to invite the new human people into their forest home and share the power that the forest holds. This has not proved much of a problem as most humans look upon this region as too wild to settle upon. After the tragedies of the Avalonian civil war, many dangerous outlaws started to plunder the forest for its valuable plants. With reduced forces in the Doriath and unable to defend from this new threat and existing ones, Lord Malthenhir and his council have agreed to the establishment of an Avalonian guild town at the site of the present watch tower. The Avalonian forces will help deal with any attacks or plunder from the region’s perimeter in exchange for trade access to some of the fruits of the forest. This will allow the Doriath to re-coup its losses and focus on any attacks from the numerous underground caverns.

Thus from this day forth, House Orthelon of Faer-o-dur hereby swears it’s allegiance to the guild of Avalonia!

Welcome to the greatest guild of Avalonia. Don't listen to what the members of the other guilds say, we are still the best and you made the right decision. I like how you added elements of the official lore into your backstory. I look forward to interacting with you and Faer-o-dur in the future. Also, nice build.
