cablefoxley Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Hi folks is this island ours? Its that kaliphlin dont know its there Quote
robuko Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) I believe its status is deliberately terra incognita. In book 1 it was not assigned to any of the guilds, and I used it for my 5th guild challenge entry. All the guild leaders have changed since then, so they may decide to assign it. I'm not sure if I and Kaliphlin would have any prior claim as first builder because my entry did not win and so it's not canon. We certainly know it's there though Edited September 8, 2014 by robuko Quote

Pyf Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Greetings, Avalonians! I recently joined Eurobricks and came across Guilds of Historica, thinking it was cool, so I decided to join! Here's a picture of my sigfig. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l332/pyf500/imagejpg4_zps9fb69987.jpg Price Pyfrael is the heir apparent to the Rising Sun Clan. The Clan under his fathers leadership rules over the Gloomy Isles. They are a group of small islands surrounding the clans main island, the Green Summer Island. It is interesting to note that it is fairly difficult the main island, as it's belt of small islands is also home to many dangerous animals and there are only few save approaches for boats. The islands are covered in dense forests and steep cliffs can be found along their shores. The main population of the islands once consisted of Elves. However, they have welcomed anyone looking for a save home. Today there live many men, dwarfs and others on the island. They are considered as much part of the Rising Sun Clan as the elves and abide to the rule of the clans royal family. Prince Pyfraels current task is to travel the clans land and visit and inspect the many small villages on the islands and their shores. He does so accompanied by his faithful retinue of Clan Guards. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l332/pyf500/imagejpg1_zpsecfb154b.jpg The yellow circle on the map shows where the Gloomy Isles lie in Avalonia. I am interested in the bigger of the two. I have also created my first MOC today and will post that later. Sorry for the bad picture and built quality in advance , I am unfortunately quiet limited in terms of camera and building pieces. Edited September 9, 2014 by Pyf Quote
Yzalirk Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Welcome, Pyf, to GoH and your picture is not there, try putting the link there. Quote

Bacon Potatoes Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Glad to have you aboard Pyfrael! So many new members in these past few days, myself included! It's great! Quote
Gideon Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Wow! Avalonia is also rapidly recruiting new members, a warm welcome to GoH to you all! Quote
legoloco Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I've been planning on joining the GoH for a while now. I agree with the sentiments that MiloNelsiano mentioned, for a new person there is so much going on with the GoH that it seems overwhelming. I'll be joining Avalonia as that seems most in line with the aesthetic that I currently enjoy the most, although I do like the endless possibilities that Nocturnus would offer. I'm still polishing my sigfig's story and I've got a few Lego orders from overseas that need to arrive so I can have my intro and Tasks I & II done all at once. In the next 2 weeks I should have things ready to post. I'm looking forward to the fun. Quote
kabel Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Wow so many mocs to catch up to! Insane activity in GoH and I looove it!! I can only second this, sometimes it takes a mere night's sleep when all the North Americans post to get lost in the forum. Quote
Pyf Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Thank you all for the warm welcome. If I complete tasks, ie 1 and 2 and 3 for example, how do I go about it? Furthermore I'm currently trying to compete a small hamlet. Hopin to finish it today or tomorrow, how do I post that? Thank you for your help. Quote
Simon_S Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 If you do a build, you usually post it in a new topic, with a small description and a story if you wish to do so. Just try to take as good pictures of it as you can, then host them on Flickr or another image hosting site and like them here. Quote
Kerntechniker Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hello Folks, sorry for being more or less busy with real life issues. Now it seems that times come down and I will have more time for my favorite hobby. I will continue here and hope everyone says hello to me again. Kind Regards! Quote

Bregir Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Good to see so many new members these last few days - I think we will soon need to *cough cough* widen our borders to make room for all those people! Thank you all for the warm welcome. If I complete tasks, ie 1 and 2 and 3 for example, how do I go about it? Furthermore I'm currently trying to compete a small hamlet. Hopin to finish it today or tomorrow, how do I post that? Thank you for your help. Well, normally task 1 and 2 are just posts in this thread with some pictures and a description, while task 3 is normally a topic of its own. (Normally linked to from this topic). About the hamlet - have you looked into task 4? That could be relevant. Remember not to rush it - its not a race - have fun and build carefully! Other than that - read a few topics and learn from what others have done. Welcome in our ranks. Quote
TheRedViper Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Welcome to new members, good to see you join the mighty Avalonia! Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I just realized I have not yet posted my Task 5 in here. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=99869#entry1994506 Tasks 1 and 2 are coming, just trying to finish some suitable enviroments for them. Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 So,who would be interested in having their sigfig visit my Task 5 castle once it's done? I want to start including more people in my builds and this seems like a logical first step. Quote

I want to start including more people in my builds and this seems like a logical first step. I would love to have my sigfig included in one of your works. I was wanting to do the same thing and place more characters from around Historica in my builds (once I post them), the only problem is I'm not exactly able to build many people's figs. This will probably change in the future. Quote

MiloNelsiano Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 You're more than welcome to use my sigfig if you'd like (he's fairly easy to build), but I get the feeling you're probably looking more for People that have been around longer than I have been. Quote
