frumpy Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hi All, I'm now at the point where I'm ready to join up (I was focused on finishing my castle build before committing to GoH http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107243). I have a few questions that I'd like clarified before building my sig-fig and introductory build. I was thinking of my character being a child who is seeking greater things in his life than being a farm boy. The child would have no title or land. Is this allowed or should my character be a noble of some description? I will be looking to make sure that the character progresses and can be incorporated into the GoH story appropriately. Based on the above I wasn't looking to claim any specific land on the map. Is this also ok? Thanks Quote
Bregir Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) Welcome, RBC - good to hear you saw the error of your ways before it was too late! Looking forward to May, then! Hi All, I'm now at the point where I'm ready to join up (I was focused on finishing my castle build before committing to GoH http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=107243). Now, let's go hug a tree! As to your quesitons, I do not think it will be a problem. We are generally very flexible. Traditionally, we Avalonians claim a piece of land, but I do not think it is a requirement. However, if you are going to "build up" a city or area (See task 4) you could claim it for those purposes. Your sig fig does not need to be the lord of those lands, but could simply be an inhabitant. Claiming land might not be relevant, if you are not going to center your story in a specific area, though. (Someone correct me, if I am wrong, please ) In case any of you should be in the south eastern parts of our fine lands, you will always be welcome guests in the Trifork. frumpy Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hi All, Finally created my sig-fig to join. My Sig-Fig is Sebastian. He is a 13 year old farm boy who enjoys hunting and dreams of becoming a mighty warrior one day. But right now he has to get his chores done before sunset. As for Sebastian's story I'll be doing free builds over the next month or two to progress his story fairly rapidly at first. This is the official sig-fig photo of Sebastian with his dog Hugo. I've also included a picture of my first GoH build of Sebastian eating an apple in a tree on his parent's farm. I will also create a separate topic for this free build as well. In case you notice, yes Sebastian's hair is different in the photos. He has his farm-boy hair (in the tree) and then his serious hair which is what I've included for the official Sig-fig photo. The story will reveal the change. Anyway, Looking forward to being involved in GoH. Thanks. Quote
Bregir Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 @Jakorin: I haven't had the time to reply on the topic (yet), but that keep is fantastic! It has the loveliest proportions and just the right amount of detail! @Frumpy: Welcome in our fantastic guild! I really like your character, and will be looking forward to following his adventures! Will you be joining the Kaliphlin civil war challenge? If so, I am certain you will be welcome with all factions (although all the cool kids obviously pick the High Council ) Quote

If so, I am certain you will be welcome with all factions (although all the cool kids obviously pick the High Council ) I was thinking of joining the challenge although I have to get my head around the premise of this first. I assume for these challenges our sig-figs don't need to be involved. Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Nope! I'm holding off on even introducing my Sig-Fig until after the challenge. Quote
Graham Gidman Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Glad to have you in Avalonia, Frumpy! I joined right as the challenge was starting and it took me a bit to figure out, too. Quote
