Thank you all for your warm welcome! :classic:

Posted my first free build yesterday and just wanted to check I did everything I should in connection with it. So much to read to get it right feels like

So, I posted it and posted a link in the Free Build Registration. This will allow it to possibly score points for the guild somehow, correct (although the thread seems out of date)? Should I post it somewhere else as well?

Also, since I tried to claim some UoP credits I also posted links in the UoP thread and made a UoP tracker post for myself. So now I just have to wait for approvals and then change my tracking thread, is that correct?

Is there an easy way to see who is in what guild btw? Guild signup threads have some lists, but some seem slightly out of date (which I can totally understand). Perhaps you just learn over time as you get to know people?

Thanks once again!

Yes, the free-build thread is out of date. I'm not sure what to do in that case, but there's nowhere else to post right now.

You got the UoP thing right! If a long time goes by without your getting the required 4 +1s, then you might want to remind us Kaliphlinians by letting us know in our guild thread.

People often, though not always, put what guild they're in in their signature. And longer term members may have a shield with the colors of their guild, although that's not an infallible reference as some people have changed guilds I believe. And sometimes you can have a pretty good guess just by looking at their sigfig!

Anybody else noticed how chatty the other guilds are? S'pose they never take the time to hug their trees! :look:

Welcome to anyone I haven't yet welcomed!

And welcome back to Simon - we shall all be looking forward to having you back for good!

@Bregir

You should check this out, your figure is in it.

I just finished my keep, and wanted to post a link to it as that's task 5, but the link to task 5 at te start of this topic doesn't work. Could someone fix that please?

I will check it out now! :classic:

As for Task 5, you should post it in its own topic and then link it in this topic.

Well, in that case you just quoted the link for my task.

Thanks for the welcome! And yes, some of the guilds seem pretty chatty. Personally, I find myself stretched with just checking out all the builds and commenting, along with building and posting my own stuff. I've been staying out of the civil war for now, until I have a better grasp of what is going on here in Historica, and I'm trying to establish my sigfig and his story a bit first as well. The civil war seems fun, but stressful

On a side note, how is using each other's sigfigs viewed upon? Send a message and ask for permission I suppose? Or is there a gentlemen's agreement that it's ok to use as long as you understand the sigfig's backstory and do it appropriately? Seeing some of the builds that include a LOT of sigfigs, I was curious as to how this was usually done.

Just a question: Am i constricted to building within Avalonia?

I was planning for Aeldric and Voraal's story to eventually take them up to

Mitgardia, but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to build there.

It would only be for story reasons, of course.

You're welcome to build in any of the guilds, including valyrio. My current story, for example, just went through Kaliphlin, and is about to go into Nocturnus.

Ok, thanks :)

de Gothia have been everywhere... well not Nocturnus, just guarding their border in the first book!

Finally done with the challenge for kaliphlin. Hope to build some more Avalonian mocs now and start comment on mocs posted!

Looking forward to some more Avalonian mocs from you (and everyone) now that the war seems to be over :classic:

Burnby is owned by Duke Cassius (EB user CarsonHaupt). If I remember right he said he wouldn't be around much until the Kaliphlin challenge is over. You can usually figure out who owns the territory by entering it in the search bar and seeing who mentioned the territory first.
