LegoEomer Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Yeah, tried that already, but Flickr has been updated. Quote
gedren_y Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Here's how to do a Flickr image. On the image page scroll down to the bottom of the image, and all the way to the right. The arrow pointing right is the share button. A screen will come up for the type of sharing. Choose BBCode. Then it will give you a size option. To see all the options you may have to use your keypad arrows. Be sure that your shared image size is under 800 x 600, as stipulated in the site rules. Copy the text and paste it into your reply. Flickr no longer gives you the line break in the code (it used to), so if you want to have the image name link and the account holder link below the image you need to hit enter after [/img][/url] (or you could delete the rest of the code after it all together). Here's how it looks with the direct code copied. NPriest Detail 04b by gedren_y, on Flickr Here's how it should come out if you add the line break. NPriest Detail 04b by gedren_y, on Flickr Again without the extra code. Quote
LegoEomer Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Last question: What is the Battle of Red Ford? I've heard it mentioned once or twice already. Quote
LegoEomer Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. Anyways, for all you citizens of Avalonia, here is my sig fig picture and story. de Gothia Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 An official welcome now when you have posted your sigfig and intro!!:) Quote
LegoEomer Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy to be an official member of the greatest guild. Quote
LegoEomer Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Sorry, for double posting, but last two questions. Would a build like this be called "substantial" and work for Task 5? What is the Battle of Red Ford? Quote
Rogue Angel Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 1. This would be considered substantial due to the amount if detail put into it. A more basic build (less detailing and snot) would need to be 50-100% bigger (fill up a 32x32 baseplate minimum). 2. I thought it was listed on the first post of Book I, but I can't seem to find it. I believe it is where Artorious Rex and the Flight of Dragons defeated the warlords that were controlling large portions of Avalonia previous to Book 1 of GoH. Quote
LegoEomer Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Thanks for answering my questions. I believe that will be the last of them. I'll try to look up the Battle of Red Ford. Quote
Bregir Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Happy New Year, my fellow Avalonians. May the new year bring prosperity and peace to our lands! Quote
SPARROW THE CONQUEROR Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hey all, it seems I have missed quite a bit while I was away.... Sparrow the Eagle-Eye wishes to pledge his loyalty once again to Avalonia! I believe that I have yet to post a SigFig and to complete the tasks... I would appreciate if someone could take the time to explain the gist of this to me. I'm new to all of this, but not to MOC building, as I hope to display soon :) Thanks all, and I hope to talk to all of you soon! Sparrow Quote
LegoEomer Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi, I'm LegoEomer, a relatively new member to Avalonia. Posting a signature fig would mean you are an official member of the guild. You can also claim land if you have a signature fig. Besides that, I don't know much, but welcome! Quote
LegoEomer Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I have a suggestion. We should start a "Guilds of Historica Help", which is like the HELP!!! page, except it is for Guilds of Historica. That way users can ask questions of any kind about GoT and have them answered. What do you think? Suggestions are welcome. Quote
de Gothia Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Great to have you here once again sparrow!! Eomer; like This thread? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83539&st=275#entry2403387 Quote
LegoEomer Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Oh, so you can ask questions on there? I didn't know that. Quote
Kyo Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi! Me and my sigifg, Shair, would like to pledge allegiance to Avalonia! I know I should be posting a picture of my Sigfig, but my bucket of bricks will be arriving some time next week. I'm a newb and haven't done many MOCs before, just started with Legos again, but used to build a lot when I was a kid. I love Castle lego and the old Arthurian legends, so I think I will fit nicely in here. Thanks Quote
TitusV Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Welcome to GoH, Kyo! You defenitely joined the right guild, since Nocturnus seems about to start what will later be known as the Pumkin Wars no problem you're a newb, we're here to help, so if you want to ask something: just do! Edited January 9, 2016 by TitusV Quote
LegoEomer Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Sorry, but I have another question. Can I still build in embassy like in Book 1? I was planning on building an Avalonian embassy for my character's backstory. Quote
Kyo Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Thank you Titus, much appreciated. Well, as long as those pumpkin pies of theirs don't try to eat any parts of me, I'm fine with that. Oh, I will ask. When I have some questions that need answering that is For now, I only have one question, I'm trying to build a weapon for my sigfig. If anyone knows the Guandao or the Ashandarei from Wheel of Time series, you've got the gist of it. A spear with a spike on one end and swordblade on the other. Anyone got any suggestions for what parts I could use for this? Sorry if it's the wrong place to ask, just don't know where else Edit: typos Edited January 9, 2016 by Kyo Quote
