Here is my latest build.

Marching to War

I also plan to stop by in Cedrica and the Grand Griffon, so who else plans to be there so we can have a conversation? This will be my first time talking "in character."

I've always wanted to do that, but at the moment, my character is not really able to be there... Hope you understand

Greetings, fellow Avalonians. I haven't been too active lately--work has been pretty hectic--but I have a new free build finished and two others in progress. However, the laptop I normally do my photo editing on is no longer with us, so I'll have to figure something else out before I post. However, I do have a teaser pic for those interested!

Exited to see you partially return!

As announced earlier in my latest installment of the Avon Saga, I will be presenting some characters.

Sir Brandon

Sir Brandon was the youngest son of a lord of a minor noble house in Avalonia before the Flight of Dragons. When Artorious Rex came with an army during the Flight of Dragons, rather than fight Rex, his father instead led an army to help the conquerors. Brandon himself led some of his father's forces. For his bravery at the Battle of Albion, he was knighted and awarded Acadia, a fertile piece of land in the north of Avalonia.

While most who served in the Flight of Dragons have stories of glory to tell, the Flight of Dragons is nothing but a bad memory for him. During the war, he led some soldiers to fight for Artorious Rex, but his soldiers were ambushed. Only he survived. Disgraced, he now wanders the guilds, finding money here and there, and hoping to find a place where he can get accepted and a place he can call home once more.

That's it for now. I will be editing this post in the future to add more characters. As of now, I probably will have my characters at the Grand Griffon, so if you want to talk to them, go there.

I have some questions about Avalonian history so I can put it into the wiki.

1. Where did Artorious come from? Like where did he invade from?

2. Is there a name for the world that Historica is in? Or is it just called "the Known World" like in GoT.

3. Is there anything outside Historica besides Varlyrio? I often hear of other lands. Is there anything north of Mitgardia? Because on the map, there is this section of land called the "Frozen Beyond."

I'm not sure about number one, but for the others:

The world is known as "Historica," and yes, there is a vast unexplored section above Mitgardia (perhaps it could be argued that it is in Mitgardia...) which is known as the Frozen Beyond. There are also Varlyrio and Ulandus (the large-ish island below Kaliphlin), but other than that there are no "other lands" which are in Historica.

However, for introductory backstories several people have there characters coming from "some island/continent far away," and there is nothing wrong with this, but they are not in the official story and are not available to be built in

Hope that answers the question :classic:

Thanks for the answers. Also am I allowed to make articles on the wiki for other users' cities? Like Sionnach, and the Trifork?

I also think that there should be a link to the wiki on every guild page. I know Kaliphlin has one, which explains why the majority of the pages on the wiki and Kaliphlin related.

As long as the information on the wiki reflects what ghe builders have written here on EB I think that effort is highly appreciated :classic:

Actually there are other known lands. Lord Damaximus and many of his Allenridders are from Ximus and the surrounding lands. There are some Mpya Stedor threads that cover parts of his backstory.

Yes, but they have generally been regarded more like legends than established GoH canon as far as I've understood? I assume however that it for example would be possible to claim some connection to those "non-canon" lands in a character backstory :classic:

Ok finally ready to join avalonia. My sig fig is the princess Rhiannon, blue dress. They're from the kingdom of faerieda. Some dark forces have seized control of their home and poisoned they're greatest weapons, their dragons. King Gregory and Queen Felina sacrificed themselves to get their daughters to safety. Dwalin the dwarf was their fathers best friend. He along with Galin their mothers most trusted advisor accompanied the girls. Rhiannon's personal guard Veric never leaves her side neither does her wolf Hugo. Princess Rhiannon managed to sneak out what she believes to be the last dragon with her as well a teal baby whom has yet to be named.

Princess Rhiannon had feared that the 7 of them was all that was left. But their first night at sea her fathers large ship was spotted on the horizon. By the next morning they were sailing together. Her parents had planned this well and she had a small fighting force. Axmen, light Calvary, halberdiers, and infantry. They had just enough supplies they might be able to make it. When they landed on the south western most edge of the mainland of avalonia on the Klingon border they discovered a hidden stash in the belly of the ship. They had plenty of gold ans some of the girls valuable heritage. And a dragon egg.

More of my story soon. Working on task 3 and starting task 4 now. I hope I did everything properly.

Ok so tasks 1&2 are complete. Task 3 is to name and describe your country correct. And task 4 is to start on required buildings for a village. Any other tasks or challenges I have missed?

Hello... It seems only fit to introduce myself to a kind stranger, if you have the time to listen that is? My name is 'Arna – Arna of Winter Mountain'.

My tale is a simple one... “Run Arna!!! Run...!!!” These were the last spoken words I heard from my true farther 'Orri'. And run I did... As far and as fast as my little legs would carry me, I never once looked back as I plunged deeper and deeper into the thick mountain forest. With my fathers words echoing in my ears, his spirit fuelling my soul to keep going. Only when darkness painted out the winter sun and my legs could no longer carry me did I stop. I was alone....

For days I wondered aimlessly within the deep sloping forest, dense Evergreen's and Solider Pines stretched high into the canopy. A maze of broken sky towering above me, taunting me as I scratched sustenance from natures gifts just as my father had taught me. During the nights I took shelter in fallen trees, sharing my dreams with the insects and grubs that freely mapped my freezing frame.

As hopelessness rang like an eternal bell in my breaking soul, 'Joy and Relief' silenced its deafening tone - as my heart lifted and warmed like a spring flower turning towards to the morning sun. I was saved!

As I buckled and stumbled into the clearing like a new born lamb a woman ran to grab me... Concern etched over her gentle face. “Solvi!... Come quickly the Winter Mountain has passed us a gift.”

Solvi and Maria nurtured me back to health with care and eternal love – My father never returned to our home village and no eyes ever set upon his mighty frame again. It was agreed by those that decide such things that Solvi and Maria should take me under their compassionate wing.

Solvi and Maria taught me well... As a farmer and woodsman Solvi brought me up to be finely skilled in both disciplines. Maria taught me to use my mind and acknowledge my heart, the written word is no stranger to me.

Alas their spirits now join my fathers deep within in my beating heart... As the mountains winds call every soul to finally fall from the tree of life and return to the frozen earth. “Some times we drop as leaves, sometimes we drop as seeds. Both are equally as important in the external orbit of existence Arna...” Maria would say to me.

As a man of four and fifty, my weathered bones and grumbling back tell me it's time to leave the mountain for new, warmer lands. Life is tough in the Northern Hemisphere the winters are long and the days dark. The northern soil is thin and loose and every seed needs absolute love and care if it to reach it's true potential. Work that now requires younger hearts than mine... I've come to Avalonia to farm its fertile land and watch my harvest blossom with the pride that only a farmer knows.

I hope to see you again my friend, thank you for taking the time to listen to me. Maybe one day we'll share a bottle of honey mead over a game of 'Tiles'? Farewell and look after yourselves...

Very nice to see several new people joining Avalonia! Welcome Jonsi!
