ljames28 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Both these model's look like there B-Model's... And that's probably because they are indeed B-Models, As this photo appears to be the cover for the second booklet with building instructions. Expect something comparable in size to 6913 or 6743 for the main model. The instructions for 31017 are booklet 2 of 2 so they are most likely models 2 and 3 of a creator 3 in 1 Set. The instructions for 31019 are the first booklet of three, so that is most likely another creator 3 in 1 Set. It looks like Lego have pulled both download links but they are still available on the Brick Owl instructions viewer http://brickowl.com/...ructions/viewer http://brickowl.com/...ructions/viewer Edited August 22, 2013 by ljames28 Quote
Erik Leppen Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Why are instructions for 2014 sets already available? Quote
just2good Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Why are instructions for 2014 sets already available? LEGO always leaks stuff with their instructions as it seems they're updated automatically, but who knows for sure. Quote
David Thomsen Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 The instructions for 31017 are booklet 2 of 2 so they are most likely models 2 and 3 of a creator 3 in 1 Set. So it's 2 of 2 for 2 and 3 of a 3 in 1... got it... Quote
Faefrost Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 OK the Monkey just joined my "must buy" list Quote
Gnac Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) For those who have LDD up and running, some digital models of the recently leaked instructions have been reproduced here. These should not be taken as representative of the final things, but they may answer some questions: The part count for the Monkey and Toucan set puts it past the £10 level; more like £15. Disappointed about not getting 11458 in black, but set 31017 at least offers a decent selection of 11477, in black, white, and orange. You won't be putting minifigs in the alternate models for 31017, unless you like things looking all wrong (or to prove a point, visually). EDIT: New question: what is up with that preview of 31019? It's not consistent with the CREATOR style. Edited August 24, 2013 by Gnac Quote
Sato Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 EDIT: New question: what is up with that preview of 31019? It's not consistent with the CREATOR style. Baby Monkey (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=4916-1) disagrees, He/She want's his mommy It's not the first time a Creator set suffers from 'High on Technic parts syndrome' here's another good example of that http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=4993-1 Besides, Creator is all about stimulating your creativity to make your own models. So I don't see the problem in using these sets to get kids acquainted with and/or ready to cross over into Technic. Quote
just2good Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 Baby Monkey (http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=4916-1) disagrees, He/She want's his mommy Fun fact about the Baby Monkey set- it shares the same set number as my Member Number here on Eurobricks. The new monkey is FAR more superior than the older one, but manly because the older one was limited to being a $5 set. I could see this set being a $15 set like Fierce Flyers from this year (both are animals, too). Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Couple of nice sets seen in the 2014 range, there was a cool creator Cat and Mouse set, plus a small £24.99 log cabin with a small mountain along side. Quote

You've seen it? Anymore descriptions? I love mountain LEGO things, that sounds awesome. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) You've seen it? Anymore descriptions? I love mountain LEGO things, that sounds awesome. The mountain is limited, about 2 burps in height, it is a £25 set remember! The log cabin looked nice, but it's a small basic creator set Edited August 24, 2013 by paul_delahaye Quote
Sato Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) The mountain is brick build right? Hope there's no use of Burp's in it because that doesn't fit with the Creator ideology. Edited August 25, 2013 by Sato Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 yes, I think it was brick built, I just used the burps as an indication of height, maybe 15 bricks high total now I think about it. Quote

Woah, that sounds really cool. Is that the only Creator House for this wave? And any LEGO The Simpsons stuff? Quote

The graphic design of the booklet doesn't seem to fit with what we are accustomed to. Quote
kermit Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Is the log cabin on similar size to the small creator cottage we got this year? Any more details you can remember about the set? Quote
David Thomsen Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 A Creator mountain is an interesting concept... Can't wait to see pics. I wonder what the alternative builds will be... A mine shaft? Most likely. Quote
Legoroni Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Anothere Creator Set is on Brickset, with three models. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=31022-1 Quote
Ondra Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) Did you know, that there is rumour that next year there will be mini cooper set?Unclear if UCS creator expert or polybag. But I think, it will be creator expert. http://brickfanatics.co.uk/lego-2014-rumor-mill-mini-architecture/ Also unclear if original MC or new remake. Crackerjack Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Hopefully it will be the replacement for 10220 VW van. It will be 3 years in 2014 since 10220 came out so it makes sense for the Mine Cooper to be a large scale model. Quote

I'm sure the rumor is true, and I'm sure it will be a replacement for the VW Van (every three years we get a big D2C car model it seems like). Quote
Legoroni Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 We discussed that earlier, but thanks anyways. Oh, my bad. I thought that there was only pictures of the orange race car and the monkey. Sorry. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Is the log cabin on similar size to the small creator cottage we got this year? Any more details you can remember about the set? Yes, basically the same size, maybe a tad smaller Quote
Herky Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I am not sure which site I saw it on, but read it was definitely a replacement for the VW van and will be similar size, excited to see it and build it eventually. Quote
Ondra Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 No words, if new mini cooper or old?Because new mini cooper is big possibility, if lego have license agreement with bmw. Also there is new MINI cooper coming in 2014. It will be pretty hard to remake with lego, if they going to make new version. Quote
