Hi everyone. I'm a new member here. I thought people into digital Lego might be interested in some of my 3D Lego models. I made all of the parts with Cinema 4D. There are no imported LDraw / Leocad parts although I did bring a few parts exported from Leocad into Cinema 4D to take measurements before producing my own high resolution versions. I've also got the real Lego model of all of these and also took measurements from the actual parts as not all parts are available in Leocad. The stickers on the buggy are scanned from the original stickers. I'm working on my own design for a variation.

I'm happy to answer any questions. Some of the parts like the red fairing panels and rims took up to 20 hours each to model. Fortunately for these fairing panels I was able to modify the first one to produce the others. The buggy and Backhoe are fully rigged and functional. The enjoyment for me is the modelling process. I've now built up quite a library of highly detailed parts so don't have to start from scratch with each new model.

Besides the 2 models below I've done a couple of less complex models. These were my first efforts at modelling Lego parts. You can see them in my personal gallery.

Enjoy

Oversized images converted intext links. MAximum size allowed is 1024x768. Suggestion: use thumbnails.

Your works are very interesting.

As you seem to be familiar with Cinema 4D, what do you think to crate an indexed guide such as those for POWRay and Blender?

It would be a very interesting resource for all these users who are looking for a good way for render their models, and a good place where to discuss, exchange views and improve the skill with the software.

Once the work is done, I would index the guide together with the other ones.

PS: I converted your images in text links. See the edit note on the bottom of your post.

Thanks for converting the images. I looked at using attachments but the attachment size was too small. I've added thumbnails in addition to your links.

Re rendering guide. Yeah maybe although if someone owns Cinema 4D importing a Leocad (obj or 3ds) file is dead easy as is applying materials and rendering. A lot easier than either Blender or Povray.

The buggy are very very high quality!

You may re-modeling the tires of Bachoe.
