Purpearljellyblob Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Will Day 2 better Day 1's record of 630 posts and 7274 views? ~Pantsless Mage~ Edited September 1, 2013 by Purpearljellyblob
Flipz Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Will Day 2 better Day 1's record of 630 posts and 7274 views? I'm just waiting for the "X new posts have been posted. Show them?" message to reach triple digits.
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I'm just waiting for the "X new posts have been posted. Show them?" message to reach triple digits. I got a '13' at one point today. That's the highest I've seen.
herrJJ Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) I say goodbye to you. Definetly Mafia is not a game for me with several hundred posts a minute It was fun though and I am curious which side will win. ~In loving memory of Heron Jujube~ ~a proud member of Heroica~ ~killed on night one~ Edited September 1, 2013 by herrJJ
Sandy Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 @Sandy Is it possible to kill yourself with your own actions so no-one gains exp from your death ? When you signed into this game, you made a promise to play it. There's no "easy way" out of it, sorry. To answer your question, you cannot attack yourself.

Sandy Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 Sorry, I meant that as in an actual tactic if I ever was to be killed and I had time to prepare, not a way to get out of playing. Sorry, I misunderstood your purposes. But yeah, you cannot attack yourself, but you can always try to arrange a trusted ally to deal the finishing blow.
Sandy Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 CLARIFICATION: Even though giving items is not an ability, it is still affected by the order of action. If you get killed before its your turn to act, your items go to your killer by default. This is to avoid taking advantage of the power to give away items freely in the situation where you know you are going to die.
Scorpiox Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Now that the theiving mechanics have been clarified for me (Thanks, Oxford): I weild a dagger and a Topaz, Scamander." Oxford? It may be the city in which I live, but it sure as hell ain't my name.
Endgame Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Damn you, Freud. Edited September 1, 2013 by Endgame
Palathadric Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I got a '13' at one point today. That's the highest I've seen. I think I got 21 once.
Palathadric Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Scamander jumps from a table, to another table, and starts playing a quick tune, while twirling around. Just because you're a minstrel doesn't mean you have dancing shoes.
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Woke up this morning to 58 Wow, we wrote more than two pages while you were making one post! That's insane.
Chromeknight Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Ah, no. I just meant that was the overnight tally for me. Edited September 2, 2013 by Chromeknight
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Ah, no. I just meant that was the overnight tally for me. Ah. I think Scorpiox and Pyrovisionary have everyone beat there.
Shadows Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I've had "25 new messages" appear while posting. I threw my hands in the air and quit reading. Honestly, love the roleplay, but so much chatter seems to discourage the purpose of the game, most people can't or won't try to keep up with that. Or it's just me, but I'm the most important me I know! Suddenly I understand how some of you have so many posts, even more than me in much less time. Heroica: Now with 182% more post count leveling.
CMP Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Suddenly I understand how some of you have so many posts, even more than me in much less time. Heroica: Now with 182% more post count leveling. Arguably I'm pretty sure normal members think that about mafia.
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 It's a game with a lot of players, and some players who play Heroica but are newer to mafia, and some players who already post a lot considering the relatively slower pace of Heroica. Lots of players post, more players are purely roleplaying or arguing based on roleplaying than in mafia, lots of players respond quickly, the effect snowballs. I have similar feelings, because there have been a couple times when I've stopped even trying to use MultiQuote and I just individually reply to posts and submit them because otherwise too many posts will pass by while I'm trying to organize, format, and think through all the replies I'm trying to make at the same time.
Sandy Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 IMPORTANT NOTICE! Due to time constraints, I have to end Day 2 earlier, even though I haven't gotten everyone's actions yet. You have 3 hours left to send or change your actions! Honestly, love the roleplay, but so much chatter seems to discourage the purpose of the game, most people can't or won't try to keep up with that. Or it's just me, but I'm the most important me I know! I agree that there are a lot of "fluff" posts in this game so far that it could very well do without, but on the other hand I've made the rules so that the game doesn't require you to read everything or participate actively to the discussion if you don't want to. Generally speaking you can just focus on causing havoc with your abilities, for example, if you're not that committed to winning. So even though some people have complained about the inactivity of others, I'm not enforcing any sort of minimum post limit. I just need to get your action for every phase, one way or another.
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 IMPORTANT NOTICE! Due to time constraints, I have to end Day 2 earlier, even though I haven't gotten everyone's actions yet. On the one day that I don't log in as early as I usually do... (Not that it matters action-wise.)
Waterbrick Down Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Just got on. Can we still send in the puzzle solution?
The Legonater Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Did this day finish earlier than usual? Phases always seemed to start-end around 2:00-4:00 PM my time, and it's only 1:00 right now.
