Zepher Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Keep it restrained. You're playing a game with 42 other people right now (I count Sandy and the dead). Play to your best ability. You made a commitment and agreed to the rules. Humans live in communities - it is best to figure out how to maintain your status in them, even if it is a community as frivolous as an online RPG. Actually, especially if its something that frivolous.

An important point for everyone to remember that this is a game and we should be careful to keep all fighting in character. Now let's all play nice and get back to the business of killing each other.

I remember when I was in college, I learned calculus and up. I think you guys have it easy, with your liberal arts majors, and whatnot. Indeed, I especially look forward to killing you. No offense.
Duvors Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Indeed, I especially look forward to killing you. No offense. Just who was that supposed to mean?
Kadabra Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Just who was that supposed to mean? The guy I quoted. The one I'm attacking and joking with. Y'know, Cornelius Murdock.
Zepher Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 They really do teach some amazing things in college these days. What can I say, I'm taking Contemporary Sociology, so I think I know my shit.
JimBee Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I don't think I have any status at present other then village idiot. In-character? Good, that means you're playing a character. Out of character? What can you do to change that if you think you're viewed as such? And of course, it's only a game.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 What can I say, I'm taking Contemporary Sociology, so I think I know my shit. I would think talking to shit would be covered in Psychology... Does it talk back? Kadabra, the difference between Liberal Arts majors and everyone else is that everyone else will eventually have jobs. But going to college is totally worth it. Where else can you saddle yourself with so much debt that you'll be paying it off well in your retirement and yet people still see it as normal and won't hold some kind of intervention?

Scorpiox Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 {While Retak did clear Fernandu, there is the possibility that he simply told the truth as claiming him to be a Nephilim when he wasn't would certainly seal Retak's fate. In the case of Milo, he claims Briene is a Nephilim, thus should Milo turn out to be a true Hero we'll have a definite Nephilim reading on Briene. Fernandu has been absent from most of the discussions and we did have the issue of him attacking Emmanuel, but I feel Milo is of more importance currently.} 'Milo'? To be truthful, I'd be very confused if 'Milo' were to turn up a hero - the amount of flying-beneath-the-radar he's been doing sometimes makes it seem as though he's not playing at all.

Sandy Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Day Four has ended! Thanks a bunch to Shadows, Fred Daniel Yam and Masked Builder for playing! And we get another returner, herrJJ!
Endgame Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I guess I wasn't beautiful enough to revive, huh?
Duvors Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) I guess I wasn't beautiful enough to revive, huh? Sorry, but I didn't have enough Phoenix Essences. Edited September 11, 2013 by Lord Duvors

JimBee Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 have explained to relevant people via PM. saying more here would be playing outside game. but don't give up hope! Have you begun posting in prose out of character as well?
Flipz Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I guess they don't call him Piro the Visionary for nothing.
Sandy Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Of course I had to forget an important thing from the rules. I guess I just took it for granted that nobody would do it... You must not publicly quote my private messages! It's considered cheating and doing it makes this whole game pointless. Kadabra, I'm looking at you. You're lucky there was nothing in the quotes that could confirm anyone's alignment one way or another. I can't control what you PM to each other, but I'd expect at least some moral standards when it comes to playing fair. Seriously, I did not spend all this time on this game just so it could be ruined by cheaters...
CMP Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 In Kadabra's defense that's not a standard rule in mafia games, I would've assumed it was fine unless it was specified in the rules.
