I only have adjustable table from Ikea...

Atleast, I have my own area now, was building at the dining table before.

I think we all were at one time! :D

I still build on the floor... or my desk if I decide to tidy it

It's a desk, which just has Lego on it, exclusively for a Lego purpose,

Such obvious

My desk

Here's my new working place. Most of my lego is still in boxes on the floor, but hopefully I can get everything sorted on my desk since I will get a few more storage cabinets soon.

The past few weeks I have been busy creating a new working space. I used to build in the living room and take pictures on the top floor, which isn't very convenient. So I've decided to create a photo studio slash LEGO room. Added benefit is that I don't need to clear the dining table after building. I still need to move the rest of my collection to this room (this is approximately 2/3 of it).

Great!

You need two or three boxes with lots of drawers to store small parts. They d wonders in reducing time looking for a certain tiny part(s).

Glad you have separate room just for lego and studio

A subset of my small parts is stored in the four compartmentalised boxes in the left cabinet. That used to be convenient for building in the living room. Now that I have a separate room with fixed setup, I might change that to a setup with little drawers.

And some of the bigger boxes still need to be sorted. They contain parts from sets I took apart.

He that is the green eyed monster appears once again!

Nice setup guys, you are so clean and tidy and i see that almost everyone has some storage for their parts. I must be the only one that i don't  .

Here is my display / building area / spare parts box (which is si tiny)

PS: Love your photos setup Jim, and ofc your UCS X-Wing

Very nice!

I see an EV3 educational set inlay....but I don't see the EV3

Ha ha sharp eye's the EV3 and power functions lives in the educational container in the cupboards above my desk.

@ Freekysch , it might look liek I have a lot of parts but my collections is tiny , I build and take things apart to build new things most things dote survive more than 2 weeks , except for that tachicoma .

That is what the red tray is for , i take things a part in big chunks and leave them in a big plastic bin , i then take each section apart dumping the parts in the different sections of the tray. I then take the sorted parts and put them in their containers.
