Hello! I'm new to posting here (though I have been lurking on these boards for a few months now). I wanted to share my latest MOC: The Edervisk Mill and Tavern.

C&C are more than welcome, Enjoy! :classic:

Edervisk is a unique town that is made up of small island cliffs. The Edervisk Tavern is well known for its world famous fish sandwiches. The fish is caught locally and prepared below the Tavern, while The bread comes from the Edervisk Mill, run by famous dwarven bakers. People come from all over the world to visit the Edervisk Mill and Tavern.

Awesome work.

Not sure a killer whale would get that close to shore though!

The water is my favorite. Good job with the laying to give it a sense of depth.

Do you have a picture of the whole build from higher up?

Very unique style of rockwork, you mixed bley and dark bley very well  The ruined towers in the front are a neat detail, I especially like how one of them is tipping.

Great buildings and interiors too :classic:

Indeed, that whale is in shallow waters :D Incredible MOC. Love the way the different cultures of minifigs are conbined. Stunning cliff facade, but in the midst of such an incredible display of tiny details and texture the mill seems a little bland to me, though I do very much like the stairway. My two cents. Well done!

What a great way to make an entrance with your first post!

I like this a lot. There's so much detail and it's obvious considerable thought has gone into the MOC.

You've got tremendous texture to the cliffs and if I was to have one minor observation it would be that the ground level really does look very flat in comparison - perhaps you might consider some elevation changes between the Tavern, the Mill and the other area.

Thanks! You wouldn't believe how many people have pointed out how inaccurate my whale is. Every time a friend came over and saw the progress of my build, they had to point out how the whale wouldn't swim there. And unfortunately I don't have any higher up pictures, The table I took the pictures on is counter height, and my tri-pod wasn't tall enough.

Thank you! and you are probably right about adding elevation change to the cliffs, it would make it more natural.

How did you build that awesome bird??? I want a close up/ step by step so I can steal borrow, it!

Haha, I will try my best to take some pictures when I get home after work either tonight or tomrrow

Umm two different people posting as the builder here... what's going on?

Well this is what I call a really great first post! I cannot imagine what's coming next! There are so many details to look at. I'll have to spent few minutes to look at all these pictures. What I like: water, rocks, the house (with the chimney!), the road and the windmill! What I dislike (if that's even possible): the too much linear and clean cut look of the windmill (but the staire is really a win) and the top of the windmill, I'm not sure about it.

So really well done! and welcome to EB!

Wow!

What did you use for the black dome of the mill? Is that a LEGO piece? If so, where can I find it, please?

If I am correct, that is the top of this Star Wars planet set.

I apologize! Like I said, I have been lurking on these boards for a few months now, though never got the courage to post anything. I made another account a long time ago, and it must have stay logged in on my work computer for the past few months. Sorry about the confusion.
