Yeah. I discovered the pin holes in the bottom are just the right size for the tip of the Speedorz rip cord. The idea came weeks ago, but I had to get more rip cords. I'm thinking of putting 'snow covered' goods inside. I just have to figure out what to use as the source of the 'magic'. I'll try to keep it purist so that when I've completed it, I can post how to make it so you Mitgardians can have your own.

My uncle saw it and thought it looked like something from a sci-fi show. Maybe with a little re-dress I'll be able to use it for that some day.

Hi y'all! Resurfacing yet again. Unfortunately, I'm still spending most of my time thousands of miles away from my bricks, so no builds likely in the near future. Adding to Kaliphlin woes, my dad spent two weeks in the hospital, and has only recently been discharged, so I'm still helping my mom take care of him. He's on the mend, but it was a close run thing for a while there  In positive news, LEGO Santa was generous to my son this year, so we have a lot of new bricks to use, if I ever get time at home, and can convince him to break up those new sets. The LEGO collection is a bit of a mess, as he had a LEGO Movie themed birthday party, and 30 6-7 year olds playing with LEGO causes an immense amount of havoc.

Enough about my crazy life; on to Kaliphlin stuff! Welcome to all the new Kaliphliners! You have made a wise choice! The plans for Sultans Gate look great. I probably won't be able to build anything soon, but will follow along. Robuko, sorry to hear about the job, but congrats on the new baby. Hope you get some time for building; those kids tend to eat up a lot of time. But only about four years until you all can build together (less if you do Duplo)!

I think Kayne was taking over Ras-el-Akhen, which sounds like a great idea. We really need someone to take charge of that area. It's practically next door to my domain at Messahmuk, so I look forward to visiting and seeing the new construction.

I'm not near my bricks, but I do have my laptop, so I'm going to revise the maps. Honestly, this time I'll really get to it. In fact, the next few days would probably be great. Maybe everyone could take a quick look at the existing maps on the wiki, and suggest locations that should be added. I'll definitely put in Sultans Gate. My work-in-progress from last year already had added Cobalt Vale, Starbowl, Al'Derak, Samrd'dha, Adskhan, Darlig Ulv-Stranden, Everlast, Kek'Baan al-Thir, Belt Mutanji, and Auner (although those WIP versions of the maps are not on the wiki yet). I'm not sure if all those places are still relevant, but people did place MOCs in them at one point.

Wow, you guys in Kaliphlin certainly have my sympathy. Lots of woe to go around, sorry to hear that.

Are you in charge of all the maps or only Kaliphlins?

Did anyone notice that we have more replies to this thread than the Avalonia thread has? 581 to 575? I think that's a first! Avalonia is falling apart I suppose. Go Kaliphlin!

Y'all are still beating poor old Nocty. Some things never change! ;)

Spooky.

Maybe you're all just the strong silent type.

Distrustful of everyone, especially with those young whippersnappers in the Black Spire running around and ruining a perfectly good enchanted pumpkin pie trade.

Well, since we implemented our new NSA thread watching software here in Kaliphlin, we can directly siphon off the thread information without it showing up as a view! Don't ask me to explain how; it has something to do light signals sent by the PGTC's heliotropes being split by diamond prisms, and some code breaking by Dr Leibniz, and somehow reprocessed camel dung is involved...

Well that's probably because most of the Nocty discussion is taking place in the challenge thread or in the team PMs.

We're still getting regular shipments of enchanted pumpkin pie down here in Messahmuk. But we're supplied from Nocty by sea; perhaps those Black Spire types are not focused on disrupting sea traffic.

I suppose that's true, we were doing pretty well to start with!

That's good to know. I sent extra guards in case, but they seem to have gone off chasing what they refer to as "the beautiful towers and soaring minarets of a mystical palace in the desert." I think they've fallen prey to your mirages.

@Garmadon: You're only increasing their number of posts by telling them that!

And may I say ditto?

There's nothing better than having eleven Kaliphlin notifications all on top!

MK, lets be genenrous with those poor Kaliphlins, we can afford this

@kai: maybe, but we're currently also leading when it comes to new members as well as free builds, Mitgardia is the guild of book II (always been the guild)

I kind of feel that Avalonia was the guild of book 1, at least until the last challenge or so. Not that I don't think Kali is the best guild, but Avalonia seemed to produce the most and have the most members. You could say they were the "it" crowd. I guess that is Mitgardia today, but here in Kaliphlin we don't need to be trendy, we are simply the greatest.

Good to have you back NM. I am going to PM you about a special edition to the map -- (Teaser for the rest of you!)

Yes, Mitgardia is definitely on a roll. So much so that I tried to blatantly steal the good AoM idea for our UoP degree program. And you all are rolling in new members, as is Nocty. However, we're content to play the long game.

@Garmadon: You're only increasing their number of posts by telling them that!

Yes, it's quite a day for the Kaliphlin thread post count! Keep it rolling! Not that anyone is really watching the post count or anything. This reminds me of the Nocty thread getting boosted by 50+ replies when the big pumpkin pie discussions were going on.

Sounds good. I'm fired up to do some mapping! And does anyone else want to suggest places to be added to the overall or detail maps?

It happens to the best of us. Most young Kaliphliners have spent a few days wandering the desert wastes pursuing mirages. But we usually have the skills to survive. I'll send some people out to look for your guards. But if they've stumbled across Lost Vega, well, there's probably no hope. We'll send them back penniless yet satisfied.

They did send a carrion pigeon back with a note saying "send more gold". I was a trifle confused as their meaning. Never mind, more dead bodies are easy to come by. This will teach me to send zombies out unsupervised.

Quite true, when you are over 200 posts ahead you can afford giving the competition a few posts

We currently have 33 members, about 20 of which are relatively active, I'm not sure about how many freebuilds we have.

But since both Kaliphlin and Mitgardia are compiling sigfig list soon it won't be hard to see who has more :moar:

Go Mitgardia!

Lord Vladivus, some zombies were seen distracting a few Mountain Mummies during the construction of the new casino in Lost Vega. One of them lost a hand at the tables and was looking to replace it.

This is hands down the best thing I've read all day!

I hope they've been providing entertainment at the casino, perhaps I shall listen to their accounts and see whether I fancy a visit.

You better watch out for all our secondary characters...
