Gideon Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) Prince of Persia sets are an excellent starting point for Kaliphlin MOCs! Start building already So glad I started collecting at the end of the PoP run, even though I didn't buy enough by my standards now... A note on quoting btw is that it's good to only quote the parts of a long post that are relevant for the response and avoid quoting pictures. Especially good for us who are mostly reading the forum on tiny iPhone screens... Edited August 3, 2014 by Gideon Quote

Especially good for us who are mostly reading the forum on tiny iPhone screens... I just finished my pretty quick build and it's pretty cool. Do you care if I spoil it? I should have a picture up sometime tomorrow or Tuesday, not sure. And should I quickly make a Flickr account to upload it? Quote
Gideon Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I should have a picture up sometime tomorrow or Tuesday, not sure. And should I quickly make a Flickr account to upload it? Flickr is a great service to handle the pictures, very easy to export the BBCode to include suitable downsized previews here with links to the full sized pics there Just make sure to delete the pesky extra links that appear below the pics when pasting the code from flickr Quote

gedren_y Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) Flickr offers, I believe, a terabyte of image storage free. There is a premium service, but it is mostly unnecessary. Edited August 3, 2014 by gedren_y Quote

Gideon Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 (edited) You would have to work very hard to fill 1TB with pictures of MOCs! Even if you also use your account to upload private photos (as a backup or to share with family and friends) you still have plenty of space. I believe that the main difference with a free account is that you have to endure some ads. The difference was bigger before when a free account only could have a couple of hundred pics. This is great news! Glad I don't have to worry about picture space. I'll make an account either later or tomorrow. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Aaaaaaaaand I'm back! Whew, Yellowstone is awesome! But not as awesome as Legos! I got a few ideas for Heinsen's story to evolve, one being noticed by the duke! Once again, I'm glad to be back! Quote

So, is Heinsen going to walk over the caldera of a supervolcano, or do something with geothermal vents? Quote

I was actually on vacation with TUB, however a car accident has left us in Idaho for a couple more days. The collab is almost done, (at least my part, not sure about his), and might be up soonish! TheUtilityBelt Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Carson's car didn't look all that bad, but it was aparently worse. My side is almost done, but with you still in Idaho I'll make a few adjustments. Oh, and thank you guys for the welcome backs! Quote

Yzalirk Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I just got this idea for my concept for my character and tribe and stuff. Perhaps instead of Orcs, maybe a type of Elf? Maybe called "Deep Elves for short"? Quote
Maxim I Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Way to go Behemoth!! Elves are a very nice idea as well, but they are also really expensive :( You can also make a human tribe (like bandits or nomads) :) Quote

Elves are a very nice idea as well, but they are also really expensive :( You can also make a human tribe (like bandits or nomads) :) Thanks! They can get quite expensive so I was thinking of making a special type of Elf. Not the traditional human-like Elf but something more... "menacing". I really like the Uruk Hai minifigs and wanted to use that. Something like The Elder Scrolls with different Elves. I love that idea but I can only pull that off with a Post-Apocalyptic style mostly using guns and ruined modern-day gear and such. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 If you use fleshy heads the elves could work out cheaper. I like the idea though! Quote

Lord Vladivus Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I'd love to see someone do heavily armoured elves- at least in a more frequent way! Quote
