I must say, I'm not sure I fit in here in Kali....with all of the chatter going on, and how little I seem to comment I feel like a lurker! All kidding aside, I am back from several weeks of vacations out of town and will be back to full access. Also have started a couple of builds that I am hoping to find the time to wrap up soon.

Hah! I know what you mean. I seem to go several months without the time to build or even comment sometimes.

Our town showed The Lego Movie on a big screen in the park on Friday night, so now my son and I are all fired up to build again. We're temporarily taking over the dining table, but really need to get a better puppy-proof building table.

The only times I feel like building is when I'm just bored or get some new parts to use, then I'll begin to build things. Considering I have quite the small collection, I hardly want to build. But when I get my BrickLink orders in and get my hands on new parts, I'll try to do my best to get two builds up each week, depending on whether I'm busy or not.

When will the battle of Eastgate end? If it won't be that long, could you wait a bit after that? Heinsen may have a new title. :classic:

The battle is over, we are just writing up the reports... I have a few minor MOCs I will want to get up too about the end.

When can we expect the next challenge for Book II, out of curiosity?

Whenever Mitgardia's people get done writing it up. Ecc and Kabel have something cooking, just takes a while since this is a hobby for all of us, and it seems like all the GLs have very busy schedules.

Which reminds me -- Any volunteers to start helping me make builds for our civil war challenge introduction? This would start in about a month, after Mitgardia's challenge goes live, I would like to start working on our stuff -- any help would be fantastic. (Looking at all you MOC experts in this guild! haha)

Maybe I should volunteer as I have most of the Kaliphlin sigfigs. Problem is, from October on, my new job will start so I won't have that much building time anymore :(

I can definitely help with builds next month seeing as how I'll be getting parts by the end of this month. But it'll depend on what I'll have to make. Which reminds me, if you guys can PM me the links to the parts for your sig-figs, I can incorporate them into the builds if I can get them from BrickLink. So if you use a yellow head, let me know what head you'd want to use that's fleshy skinned.

My sigfigs parts are listed on his wiki page, which probably is a good way for everyone to keep track of everyone else's sigfig parts.

I can definitely make your sig-fig and add him to some of my future builds, with your permission of course. But like I've said a few weeks ago - I only like using the fleshied minifigs. So, would this head do? Or this one?

Anyone else?

I volunteer as tribute! :classic: Though it depends on what you'll need me to build.

I'd love to help out. Things are pretty hectic with me atm, but i'm hoping it will settle down in about 6 weeks or so. Plenty of time for some forward planning!:thumbup:

Heh, i know what you mean! It's certainly been hard to keep up with the activity in this thread lately. Hope you had a good trip away. Looking forward to seeing what you are working on! ...

I haven't even been trying to read everything!

Not a MOC expert by any means, but I'd be happy to help, I will have time something like Sept. 20th - Oct. 5th, and then not until November 15th or so.

I thought there would be a battle at Eastgate after.

You are right, though I have to build for that. We are going to change it up a little though, it is not going to be a 700 fig battle like the Witherwoods, but more like a stealth mission battle so we can get through it in like three days at the most.

I think I can find a way that all of us non-MOC expert builders can participate in the new challenge introduction.

How many (active) MOC experts does Kali have? Gabe and Gideon of course. I think there must be a few others but can't seem to think right now.

Yay! I'll wait for that to end to post my newest build. :)

Like earlier said today: now the battle of the Withered Woods is coming to an end, the forces of Lord Damaximus are ready:

Urf! DM, is Squire Rikhard 'Redbird' Greisun among the assembled troops? He has proven himself a capable battlefield commander with a mixed group of soldiers at the Battle at the Ruins of Mehd. What did Lord Damaximus do with that piece of wyrm bone he brought back with him?

The Kaïn Revolword storyline from An Ancient Treasure is available for use. I'll be a little busy with Quest for the Egg, and have some pieces of Nestlands Market on my building surface. One of them is a Mitgardian trading post, so we'll see Lord Andrius Hierre again soon.

I should have little quest storylines up sometime next month, perhaps one containing an ancient "Godly" artifact. I'll also show off my army too. But I will be busy with Fallout MOC's and my own little Post-Apocalyptic storyline called "Deadlands" next month as well.

Yes. I don't think anyone else? At least scrolling through the high lord's thread, there weren't.

I think Mike S, Kayne, and Robuko probably need considered for the title. But I don't give those away, so who knows. It took a while to get Gideons, I know that.

It is good to have allies with such forces. We should be marshaling soon, for better or for worse... the Battle of the Witherwoods is over, and the victor was... To be continued...

I just realized that I need to arm my army, what weapons do you guys think I should used? Preferably from like BrickWarriors or something.

Posted

I am partial to Brickarms for blades, but have a good bit of Brickforge as well. I have a bunch of (now discontinued) green and sand green colored Brickforge Falcatas for use as plant material in an upcoming build. If you want some magical looking blades, Brickforge is a good place as a number of the weapons are available in trans colors and glow in the dark. Brickarms has a good cobalt color which is close to the Lego color called metal blue on Bricklink. Brickarms also does chrome more frequently, and has done chrome blue and chrome red.
