A small WIP teaser of my Barqa build for the exhibition in Skaerbaek, right now playing with the Lifelites I bought at Brickworld :classic:

The small yellow diodes are actually flickering, although the pattern is changing a bit too slow to look like flickering flames of Kaliphlin black oil lamps they are supposed to represent.

As you can see there are still a couple of houses and a large section of the wall missing...

That's awesome Gideon and it's alright if you can't get them better, nothing is perfect and it looks great as is.

I should also do a little story MOC thing where my previous sig-fig, Niro Goldwine, gets killed...

Wow Gid that looks spectacular! Will it be in Uppsala? You have to bring your builds there somehow! To bad you want attend! Would be nice to talk to you again!

No, my wife is expecting our second kid right around when the Uppsala event will be. I've thought about maybe trying to get my Nordana Castle there as it after all is part of the medieval landscape community build but I've no idea how to get it there or back. In any case, I won't be going there myself. See you at the next event? :classic:

Aaa aa aa ... Waterways?

I've had to redesign some already built parts of my Nestlands Embassy. I have an idea about some dissident Zugal for the build, as well as a visit from Lord Vladivus. I also have begun work on Quest for the Egg Part 2, The Home of Driz Urdon. I probably won't do as many builds as I thought for the quest. With the Drow occupied elsewhere, Sdair's search in their tunnels should meet little resistance.

Look really interesting Gideon! :classic: I wish I could be in Skaerbaek like last year to see it live!

At work today I realized that I could repurpose part of a failed build for my embassy build. I had a few other ideas that need testing as well.

I got another build up, it's for an arms shop in Ruadh. It's here.

I will be out of touch for the next week or so because I have a work conference. Then the next weekend we are blitzkrieging Disney World to ride the Maelstrom one last time before they close it for good (Maybe I will get some good Mitgardia ideas?)

So if you need to get a hold of me in the next two weeks be patient for my reply! Any pressing in-character or guild related matters can probably be handled by one of out high council.

Wait- is "we" referring to your work conference?

Haha, no, the next week my wife and I will go to Orlando. I have actually been to a conference at Disney World, it was odd going on a bunch of rides with other historians and everyone critiquing authenticates of the theming.

Sounds like fun and I'm sure it's the only way to stand conferences at all!

I got some work done on the Nestlands Embassy in Nocturnus. This is shaping up to be one of my biggest builds yet. I just finished the swamp overrun section. I also have one of the removable roof sections nearly done. This one includes a roosting site for any large flying mounts visitors may arrive on.

The idea is that this is an old run-down keep on the edge of the Moruth swamplands in Shadowmere. The Fleshmage Neord Bloodmane, now Ambassador to Nocturnus, has been repairing the keep with Kaliphlin materials for some time. There will be a mish-mash of styles, as this only the most recent repairs this keep has had.

Sounds very intriguing gedren. Gideon, looks amazing, can't wait for the details. Have a great time and give my best to Angeli the Drow Master if you see him.

I have something very different coming up for you guys. It's for a different contest but can be used here

A GoH content is basically what you're getting at, right? I'm listening.

Also, any predictions as to when Book II could end? I have this interesting idea and concept for my next sig-fig to use for Book III and he won't have any crazy ideas like the Zar-Ifrikt. I was just thinking of a Rogue/Marauder/Bandit/Bounty Hunter type of character.

book 3 is a LONG way away... I would concentrate a little more on continuing your current storyline

Trust me, I am working on builds but I've been too busy to the point where I haven't gotten time to take pictures and upload them. Besides, I'm just asking for predictions since I'll be getting more LEGO parts around Christmas time and would like to get my last orders for a year or so before Book III. It's a bit odd but I like to be prepared and not represent something late, which I'm very much used to unfortunately.

Well, challenge 1 started last November, and we are not quite starting challenge 3 right now. I believe we are having 5 challenges this book, so I would guess you have until about December 2015 before worrying about book 3.

New build!

A lot of builds in GoH of late! Not going to be able to comment on a lot of them so just want to say here, a lot of great builds!

Awesome, there's a long way ahead then I suppose.

I'll try to bang out a build today and get it posted hopefully by tonight. If possible, I'll try to get two up.

I know the feeling, I have to commen on the builds of the last 2 weeks. It are 2 full pages full of MOC's :p

A couple of more WIP shots of my Barqa build for GoH HSS and LFW in Skaerbaek next weekend. Finished with the structures but I still have a lot of tiling, minifigs and other details to do. Will have to use absolutely all tan tiles in my collection (which still won't be enough as I planned this build knowing I had a couple of hundred 2x2 tan tiles coming in the LUGBULK, which is now not going to be here in time for LFW...) and hope that the plates and dark tan tiles I mix them with still will give an ok impression

How much traffic do you think there should be on the street? I'm thinking something like a couple of riders and maybe a cart but not much more to not distract from the pedestrians and shops behind...
