Flipz Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I don't find it particularly suspicious at the moment, but I'm just curious: did Pauline Jillian Boyle send any of you potato messages about her suspicions (albeit with no reasoning provided for those suspicions)? I ask because she sent me one, and it reads somewhat strangely; I get the impression that it was copied and pasted onto multiple potatoes for different heroes. (Again, not particularly suspicious; I'm just curious.) Or as the elves say, "Carmandë hya úhandë. " "I received such a mes'age jus' before me Nap. I am...unsure as ta wha' it migh' imply, but I'm willin' ta listen fer now." "I bin seein' a strangely large amount o' potatoes passin' aroun' tha Hall t'day. Qui'e a few bin hittin' me while I bin Nappin', which makes it hard ta tell when an' why 'ey were sent." Zpilf yawns, clearly ready for another Nap.
PsyKater Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Oxstrong then turns to address Retak. "So, Retak Ysp, we're waitin' on ya' to carry out yer stage of the plan so we can get on with our huntin'. Care to shake yerself outa' whatever stupour yer in?" The nord taps his foot impatiently and waits for the Fenarian to log on wake up. "I know I am talking calmly but I think you have to learn to listen better. All this silly strong speech. Who are you to decide when it is time to do this plan? This day has 48 hours and I think it is fair to wait until everyone had a chance to tell their mind about their theory." Ysp looks at some people with a glim in his eyes. "Some of you talk but offer no thinking. I'd like to be sure that this plan has no flaws. Even if our Lady Paladin seems quite intelligent, she has made mistakes before." Ysp leans back, thinking of all the Quests he had experienced.
Scorpiox Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "Fine! Try tae help, I will stop, only help myself, I will, watch ye squirm, I will!" "Is this yer confession? No good man would ever give up on tryin', sayin' that ya' will is nothin' but one of the stages of flailin'. And yer last note, is that a threat? Ya' better start comin' up with explanations pretty damn fast, ya' just keep on fillin' out my suspicions and somethin' will have ta' be done."
Wedge09 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "So yer not helping is actually a master plan of biding yer time?" He laughs. "Forgive me if I don't believe that. Another clear, sensible voice in this mess could give us the edge in rootin' out them Nephilum... but it looks as though ya' are not that voice. So far ya' have done nothing worth mentionin' ta' help, and this only speakin' up to deflect accusations ain't helpin' yer credibility. Nice try, Nôrn, I have never found yer kind ta' be one of any use - other than for foolin' about with." "Be careful about what you say, Raider." says Weyrdág, she has no intention of being insulting by the first comer but she refrains from uttering other threats. "Not everyone wants to talk nonsense, and if you do not mind I would like to return to focus on the most important issue: find out who the nephilim."

If you really do not want to purchase the item then return the money to its donators, and not keep holding onto it."

This is a serious occasion, and we must devote all our energy to finding the dark angels."

I find that things get done quicker if ya' don't pussyfoot about. This plan has it's problems, sure, everythin' does - but it's better than randomly killin' likely one of our own just yet. In my experience, ya' got ta' work with whatever ya' can." You say that ya' want to focus on catchin' the nephilim, but I don't see ya' doin' anythin' of tha' sort. Ya' be careful about what ya' say. Empty words won't get ya' no-where."

CorneliusMurdock Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "Right, so we're plannin' on passin' aroung this eyeglass as a means of identification? An admirable thought for so early in the day; it may not be perfect, but it might work. May I ask that anyone with any means of protectin' the bloke who carries the glass tonight, do so? Also, it'd be pertinent to not reveal that ya' have the ability, I hope that I don't have to remind ya' of that." Abilities being related to our class talents makes keeping them secret harder. Surely the evil that lurks among us would have enough of a variety of classes to figure out which base class does what and extrapolate most of the advanced classes. Also if the ability were used during the day, it would be fairly obvious who can do what. Perhaps using our most powerful abilities should be done at only at night, in order that they may remain a mystery longer.

Rumble Strike Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Wasting time, we are, do something, we must, a plan, Sir Rubinstien has, give it tae us, will he please?" "I think you misunderstood me, I was professing my support for the Magnifying Glass Plan."

So tell me, if ya' think my words empty, what exactly have ya' been doin' ta' help out?"
Rumble Strike Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "Yes, Ysp, you have been entrusted by us to buy the Magnifying Glass, please do so. Your hesitation does not work in your favour."
Pyrovisionary Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Piro breaths out. "Sorry, but it needs to be bought before the day actually ends. "

Brickdoctor Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I'd like to be sure that this plan has no flaws. So... I guess we should check back with you once our victory is assured, hopefully in several Days, when there is no longer any reason to even use the Magnifying Glass anymore? If you're waiting for the perfect plan and you're unwilling to risk anything, then you're in all likelihood not going to be performing any helpful actions throughout this situation. If this objection continues, I suggest we give Retak 10 more Gold; then all the Gold he's supposed to spend will be ours, not his, and he will have no excuse not to buy the Magnifying Glass.
Rumble Strike Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) "No plan will be foolproof, but we must be proactive rather than reactive and this has been acknowledged by many of your peers to be the best plan we currently have. Duvors Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Indeed. "Insulted, I have been, expect me tae do what, dae ye?"
Brickdoctor Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "Insulted, I have been, expect me tae do what, dae ye?" Something that actually shows you care about the town and not yourself. Giving up and refusing to help is a clear sign that you do not have the town's best interests in mind. Even if you die and turn up a Hero, if you have not contributed anything, then I will be satisfied with your death at this stage of the situation, having gotten rid of an unhelpful source of distraction and confusion.Additionally, your ignoring Skrupp's argument against you and then avoiding it later by saying that you were insulted is noted.
