Scubacarrot Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 "Damn straight. But it would still be wise ta' watch out for bandwagonin' bastards. If a coupla' good guys declare an attack on a bad guy, there's nothin' ta' say another bad guy couldn't jump on at tha' last minute when his buddy is damned ta' try and look 'cleared'. I'm not sayin't such a thing wouldn't be obvious... but caution is always a good thing in these situations." "Sure, but depending on people's abilities... I think bandwagoning is harder than you'd think." Scamander hops to another table, and starts playing a tune on his flute.
Flipz Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 "Thank tha' gods... I say we be wary of anyone tryin' ta' buy a level-up mushroom any time soon (I can say it out loud now that I know it won't work), though." "Good poin'. They migh' be a good strategy fer keepin' someone impor'ant alive la'er on, tho--as tha level-up increases Health. Sort o' a last-ditch eff'rt. Ne'er min', Potions're cheaper."

I think he was more worried about the scum buying XP 'Shrooms, killing someone at night, and then framing a townie by using an XP 'Shroom on him.

Scamander hops to another table, and starts playing a tune on his flute. "You implying you can't attack?" grumbled Calico. She wasn't too happy having to stare at the satyr's goatass as he played his heart out on her table. "I'm pretty sure those of us who use actual weapons rather than flutes and junk can, if that's, like, what you mean. Which, is well, all of us but you."

"Is tha' even possible? I though' it'd only be usable on yerself?" From the shuffling noise, it's clear the nigh-invisible ogre has gone off to re-read the wording on Sham Poo's wares. "It looks like it can't be used on others, since tha wordin' don' mention a 'target'--jus' says 'gain a level when used', unlike tha Potion an' tha Tonic."
Sandy Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 DAY ONE IS OVER! Here are a few minor changes I wish to announce: - Player levels will no longer be public knowledge after this day. It would be an unfair way of telling who killed during the night. - Certain status effects - stunned, asleep and blindness - will get the added effect that the victim will not be able to see anything during the night after being inflicted with one of these for as long as the effect lasts. They will be able to see what happened to them before the status was inflicted, including the one who inflicted it. You can start sending in your actions for the night now, but here's the conclusion with the day's results. Piro the Visionary and Retak Ysp made Sham Poo a happy man by doing some business with him. "See you tomorrow, eh?" Zelphie enhanced her staff while Theodor Legion created a bomb - for the hard days to come. Calico Meatpie and Kharybdis tagteamed on Luridan Voros, making his pouch significantly lighter. Fleyra took to the heights as Luridan mixed himself a new item to replace those he lost. U'dargan released his pet dragon. Cromeo Nightingale showered Kharybdis with sloppy kisses while whispering words of encouragement to her ear. Then things got ugly as someone sent a stunning attack on Kob. Ezeal saw his opportunity coming and rushed to finish the orcish mage with his axe. Pauline Jillian Boyle was also attacked twice, once by a handcannon bullet and then a lightning strike, resulting in her death. Usharnam and Calico were also attacked from a distance, but both lived to see the night. These events shocked the entire populace of Heroica Hall. It was until Scheherazade came swinging her broomstick that they all decided to call it a night. "Go on, the lot of you! I've got to mop up all this blood from the floor!" When things quieted down, the Veterans gathered around the bodies of Kob and Pauline. "There is nothing suggesting that these two were anything but loyal heroes of Heroica. How tragic it had to come to this..." "Trust me, Falconer - things will get a lot worse from here-on out." "Yes, my visions have become clearer. The dark wings will engulf us all soon, if we cannot turn the tide." "We'll just have to see how this situation pans down. I still have faith in our champions, a rag-tag bunch as they may be." "So do I - for now. But be prepared to take matters to our own hands if this doesn't work." The others nodded in bleak silence. The rain that had continued rapping on the windows throughout the entire day subsided, leaving the Hall in ominous silence.
