Waterkamp Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Hi, i'm wondering if anyone have this 3 sets buiild and can take a picture to compare between this huge sets in the last 3 years. I only have the 8258 and very interested to see how it compares to the other two. or anyone have pictures of 8258 with 42009 that would be great thanks Quote
Tubby Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I would but 8258 isn't built at the moment. It is much bigger though in a slightly larger scale and the Unimog is bigger again. Quote
Waterkamp Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 thanks Tubby, so based on your experience for the bigger set and to put in ranking : 1. 8110 2. 42009 3. 8258 I found the older thread for 8258 vs 8110 , http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59870 still very curious to see 8258 or 8110 compares with 42009. Stephan Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Almost all of my favorite sets! Very nice! Still need to get the 42009. 41999 is still new in its box. I will use that set as some sort of reward for myself or something like that. 42009 is really good! The construction is of high quality! It's a set that really takes some time to build. Quote
afol1969 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Hi, As I don't have the 42009, I can only compare with the 8421xl: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=533533 Quote

Hope you don't mind Gio (didn't know they were yours, otherwise I would have mentioned it of course) Looking at the picture more closely I realise it must have been your Unimog Didn't pay that much attention to it. Feel free to ask! sure of course, I imagine if you can make it like side by side, the 42009 with the crane extended on the front and the 8110 on the back and you take it from the side leveled on the floor ? from this pic http://upload.brickshelf.com/gallery/stephan3321/Technic/20130828_214118.jpg I can already see that the length and width is the same size as 8258 ? Quote
Stephan Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Is this about what you mean? It's really hard to photograph them from that position: 42009 is too big ! Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Yes, they are the same length and the same width! Quote
Waterkamp Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) yup, that's right like this one http://www.brickshel...chnic/11111.jpg but if you can make it align from front to back i'll give you an example of what I mean http://www.brickshel.../img_0502-1.jpg Edited August 29, 2013 by Waterkamp Quote
