Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Plenty of people use gems. Out of curiosity, can anyone make a list of magic users and compare it to the number of gems there are available, to see how high the possibility of duplicates is? There were 8 spellcasters, of which 6 are alive, and 5 elements. That makes 3 dupes.
Flipz Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Plenty of people use gems. Accordin' ta me rec'rds, we have a to'al o' nine (9) gems. So a' leas' one'd be unique, e'en if all tha others have a dupl'cate." There were 8 spellcasters, of which 6 are alive, and 5 elements. That makes 3 dupes. "I 'magine Usharnam has a gem, 'e jus' can't cast ranged spells. He could jus' pass i' on ta another Mage, tho, if 'e wanted ta."
Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Now tha' I c'n help wi'. Accordin' ta me rec'rds, we have a to'al o' nine (9) gems. The Legonater Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 There were 8 spellcasters, of which 6 are alive, and 5 elements. That makes 3 dupes. So there is the possibility of a second diamond. Not saying I trust the greenskin after what she did to me, but there may be something to it. Also, I'd very much like to hear what the minotaur has to say about attacking Emmanualle, especially after she was proved town.
Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 So there is the possibility of a second diamond. Not saying I trust the greenskin after what she did to me, but there may be something to it. Also, I'd very much like to hear what the minotaur has to say about attacking Emmanualle, especially after she was proved town. Theoretically not proved until we're sure of Retak's allegiance, but yes. I'd like to hear that, too.
Cutcobra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 But one of them belongs to a Chi Monk, rendering it meaningless in the search for the Spellcasting murderer. Anyone could pass a gem. Maybe the Chi Monk passed his gem or Pauline had a gem and the attacker took ownership of it.
Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Anyone could pass a gem. Maybe the Chi Monk passed his gem or Pauline had a gem and the attacker took ownership of it. I doubt Usharnam would give up one of his best assets, and we're acting under the assumption that it was Piro who killed Pauline and passed his Topaz on to you, keeping her gem (an Amethyst) for himself to dodge the lightning strikes being pinned on him.

"He could have passed it onto me. But after my death I hope someone revives me after they realized I only have a diamond, a whip and a remedy. Also, Enya has a Topaz too, who says they didn't swap items? Maybe Enya had an Amethyst, they swapped gems and now he is giving the amethyst back to her."
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Also, I'd very much like to hear what the minotaur has to say about attacking Emmanualle, especially after she was proved town. I do not believe anyone attacked anyone who was 'proven' Town; we didn't get the investigation result until Today when Retak stated it.
The Legonater Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "He could have passed it onto me. Cutcobra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 And exactly what would the point of that be, greenskin? "That no one passed me a Topaz."
The Legonater Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "That no one passed me a Topaz." No, what would the point of swapping gems for a day be?
Cutcobra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 No, what would the point of swapping gems for a day be? "So no one accuses the wereturtle of casting the lightning spell at Pauline."
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I got confirmation that you could state in public you do nothing and then later privately change your action. So that means the whole list I made is basically useless. Oh well.
Pyrovisionary Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I doubt Usharnam would give up one of his best assets, and we're acting under the assumption that it was Piro who killed Pauline and passed his Topaz on to you, keeping her gem (an Amethyst) for himself to dodge the lightning strikes being pinned on him. A bit farfetched don't you think? Nonetheless...
Rumble Strike Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "It is clear that we have already split up into several factions. These factions may be rubbing each other up the wrong way, like the Satyr, but that doesn't mean each should think the other a Nephilim. But that is why transparency and communication are our best allies here. I applaud the efforts of the Satyr to try to make sense of what each of us did, despite his abrasive attitude. For myself, I have not yet heard enough to clear Piro the Visionary, so I shall not stay my hand at this time. I still find him suspicious. But there are others who have raised suspicion - U'dargan, with the behind-the-scenes gold swapping to buy Counterstrike Gloves. Although if one can do this at night, and he is Nephilim, one wonders why he did not wait until nightfall. Eris still bats away suspicion with no avail, I think the ranged classes will be under particular scrutiny the entire time."
CMP Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Yeah, if anyone finds Eris suspicions enough to attack, seriously, like, please do so, we don't have enough people on her to take her out yet..."
The Legonater Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "So no one accuses the wereturtle of casting the lightning spell at Pauline." But if they switched gems for that reason, then someone in that group would be accused anyways. Either the turtle again, because he was once in possession of the gem, or the person he handed it to. Seems a lot of trouble for the same result.
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Yeah, if anyone finds Eris suspicions enough to attack, seriously, like, please do so, we don't have enough people on her to take her out yet..." Or one of the attackers on Piro could stop totally overkilling (He should have four health, I think) and change their attack to Eris if they find her suspicious. Also, again, if you're going to attack U'Dragan, please let me know so I can do something useful.

Kharybdis seems pretty confident about it."

So U'dargan was about as slick and sneaky as possible: by doing it this way, he's only exposing himself to scrutiny, not all three of them. "But how can you all be so sure I carry the topaz? Kharybdis seems pretty confident about it." I'm only confident that you attacked Theodor and Calico and are likely scum. The rest is speculation.
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I have 8 actually. Oh, nevermind then. Oh I see, because you had SP yourself. I get it. Carry on, carry on.
Cutcobra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "How can everyone be so sure I casted the spell at Calico? There can be dupes and Shadir and Retak didn't mention which type of gem they had. I'm not trying to bat away any suspicions since it's clear everyone is bent on targetting me and that cannot be changed, but what I am trying to say is that some other spellcaster carrying a diamond attacked Calico."

We're already spread thin between three different suspects today." "Assuming you're right about Piro's health, however..." continued Calico with a smirk, suddenly walking out from behind U'Dragan with her pouch heavier, no doubt stuffed with some stolen object. "...I don't think this'll do any harm."
