Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "How can everyone be so sure I casted the spell at Calico? There can be dupes and Shadir and Retak didn't mention which type of gem they had. I'm not trying to bat away any suspicions since it's clear everyone is bent on targetting me and that cannot be changed, but what I am trying to say is that some other spellcaster carrying a diamond attacked Calico." Retak was busy using the Glass then resurrecting Kob.
Rumble Strike Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 You can only swap Gold/items in private, all purchases must be public. So U'dargan was about as slick and sneaky as possible: by doing it this way, he's only exposing himself to scrutiny, not all three of them. "I was not aware that all transactions must be in public. That makes sense as to why he did it during this day. As you say, pretty sneaky though. I know several of us clubbed together to buy the magnifying glass, but that was all done in public and as transparently as possible. There is much to be gained operating in the shadows, but certainly more for Nephilim than a true hero."
Cutcobra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Retak was busy using the Glass then resurrecting Kob. "Well then, Shadir must have a diamond or some other mage has another gem they don't want to reveal. And since I have almost no chance doing anything today, I do nothing."
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Attacking him won't get us anywhere until we have, like, a lot more manpower on our side. We're already spread thin between three different suspects today." "Assuming you're right about Piro's health, however..." continued Calico with a smirk, suddenly walking out from behind U'Dragan with her pouch heavier, no doubt stuffed with some stolen object. "...I don't think this'll do any harm." There's also a lot of people on our side, a lot that currently are doing nothing, man. And I for one approve of stealing from the Dragoon.
CMP Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 There's also a lot of people on our side, a lot that currently are doing nothing, man. "Each one with, like, totally different ideas on who's suspicious and how we should take care of them. I'd advise everyone who can steal to do so from Duckface here."
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Take all his things! Take his gloves, and his money, and his weapon, and his shield, and his stupid dragon. Take it all! "
Pandora Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Yeah, if anyone finds Eris suspicions enough to attack, seriously, like, please do so, we don't have enough people on her to take her out yet..." "I did that already, but I'm dissatisfied enough with what she's said to carry on today. My attacks aren't as strong as I'd like, so if any other attacker would better off being encouraged by me then please say so and I will change accordingly. There were (and probably still are) too many spells being flung around at Heroicans, me included." Panduin launches a Critical Attack on Eris. "Oh, and whoever it was who said they were healing Eris, are they still healing her? It'd be more than annoying if they are."
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Each one with, like, totally different ideas on who's suspicious and how we should take care of them. I'd advise everyone who can steal to do so from Duckface here." A lot also that haven't said anything.
Chromeknight Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 BS. Complete BS. When have you said anything openly about being allied with Calico? And what about Brienne and Cromeo whom it is quite obvious from an actions-based POV that you are also allied with. Stop BS'ing. Consider yourself under attack. I'll be honest, it seemed odd to me as well, but that's all. Brienne, what you are doing now just seems to unneccesarily force the case against Piro. He has like five or more people on him already, and has like four health left. Heyo pretty birdie! I am so lucky to be both an early riser ( and I wake up early!) and also I stay up a long time (and don't fall asleep even if I'm in bed!) This meant that when octogirl whispered in my ear I was ready for action. Why do I trust her? She came up with the glass plan. Would it be a bad person to come up with that? I'll admit that it's not foolproof but as I like to say some is better than none A plan of any sort, which has the chance of at least scaring the secretly evil, in useful. And it seems to be working too. For the record, she's the only one I've spoken to, I'm not in any group PM with Calico and Brienne (though I know it's hard to prove an absence). Now, given what Piro has revealed about his health, yes it does seem we are overkilling and I could drop my attack. My attack power is four, so I won't be making the killing blow and getting xp. Kharybdis will. Even if I drop my attack I believe that K has enough power to do 7 anyway and still get the bump. Also, I'd still be seen as one of their 'group' even if I did, so no benefit there either. Conversely, if I remain attacking Piro, I can't be attacking the wrong target elsewhere. And I think, on the balance of things it is possible Piro is secretly evil and I'd rather kick a hero when down than try and hurt lots of health heroes to no effect. If you've more reasoning on why I should change my attack to Eris, whom I believe already also has enough damage to kill her! I'm happy to listen.
Scorpiox Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 There's also a lot of people on our side, a lot that currently are doing nothing, man. And I for one approve of stealing from the Dragoon. "Ta' me it seems tha' best plan for now. He ain't trustworthy enough ta' be allowed powerful items like tha' gloves... but killin' him yet ain't quite justified, let alone difficult."
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Ta' me it seems tha' best plan for now. He ain't trustworthy enough ta' be allowed powerful items like tha' gloves... but killin' him yet ain't quite justified, let alone difficult." Why not justified? He attacked Panduin with two others, clearly intending to kill him, and would have succeeded had I not protected Panduin in a fugue state, he got money out of nowhere and he refuses to tell anyone where he got it, and bought a scummy item with it. Pretty justified, man. Also, just to be perfectly clear to anyone. If or (probably)when Piro turns out to be innocent, my subsequent actions have diminished from a killing spree to a massive I told you so dance. Mister Nice Faun is back. Not to say I can't make a killing spree happen, because I can. I am looking at you, Nephilim. Hehe.

That coupled with tha' fact that I can't see someone of his activity bein' given money by folks other than their scum buddies - I'd say anyone tryin' ta' take a pot-shot wouldn't be that far out of line."
UsernameMDM Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Anyone could pass a gem. Maybe the Chi Monk passed his gem or Pauline had a gem and the attacker took ownership of it. I doubt Usharnam would give up one of his best assets, and we're acting under the assumption that it was Piro who killed Pauline and passed his Topaz on to you, keeping her gem (an Amethyst) for himself to dodge the lightning strikes being pinned on him. "He could have passed it onto me. But after my death I hope someone revives me after they realized I only have a diamond, a whip and a remedy. Also, Enya has a Topaz too, who says they didn't swap items? Maybe Enya had an Amethyst, they swapped gems and now he is giving the amethyst back to her." "I have kept what is mine all along. I do not trust anyone that well. Yet."
Darkdragon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 You people are robbing me? Really? Wow, that's really helpful for Heroica. I don't know why I even bother trying to help. Just kill me, and then I hope you take care of the idiots who are accusing and robbing me. Calico and Scamander. I should have just stayed home with my dragon and let you idiots fight it out.

"I see... so by yer reasonin' everyone who accuses ya' is an idiot? That's nice, but unfortunately it ain't doin' wonders for yer credibility. And yeah, robbin' ya' can be of great help ta' tha' good guys by takin' useful items away from a likely bastard, like ya', and puttin' them ta' work."
Darkdragon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Well let's see, they accuse me and attack me, keep asking me to explain the same thing over and over. What am I suppose to think? How would you feel if you were accused of being scum, attacked and robbed? That wouldn't anger you? No, taking my items will not help Heroica because I'm part of Heroica! So you people say that STEALING my gloves and using them is more heroic than me working to gain trust and get the gold to buy them myself? That doesn't even make any sense.
Etzel Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "Yeah, if anyone finds Eris suspicions enough to attack, seriously, like, please do so, we don't have enough people on her to take her out yet..." "Well, me would be happy to help but me thinks bomb man Theodore or pig man Swinehurst should hold of their attacks if my attack should do any good. They can always attack again later after me have made my attack if they are so damned sure me is part of Nephilim. Me would very much prefer not though."

And plus I think you avoided the question of who gave you gold, that's why they are accusing you and attacking you."

Leaning towards you being town but Flare and Pyro being scum. Not sure if we're ready to call off the attack, though.
Darkdragon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I did not avoid the question, I stated that I have no reason to tell you all, people who are attacking me (words/actions) simply because I purchased gloves. Just because I'm not discussing things here in the Hall with all of you, doesn't mean I don't discuss things. I've been working as hard as the rest of the heroes to find the Nephilim amongst us. Harder than a lot of them who really haven't said or done anything. Why do I work quietly, well look what happens to me when I say anything? It gets tiresome to be jumped on for these things, so I stay quiet. Look at all the other quiet people, they probably aren't Nephilim either and just don't want to have to spend the rest of the day defending themselves against baseless accusations. So hey, I've been put to sleep anyway so don't worry, I guess I'll enjoy a nice restful night. Maybe I'll get killed, which seems to be the only way you fine folks will accept the truth that I'm working for Heroica and only have our best interests in mind. There is really no other way to prove it, so I'll accept that fate I guess. Just don't let me die in vain and remember who started this attack on my character, once i'm gone.

Darkdragon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 What proof is there to offer? I can't quote you my letter.

Waterbrick Down Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 {So much noise, I am glad to not have to add to the din,} the zombie signed. {At all times let us also consider the swaying power of the Nephilim, many times greater evils have attempted to turn heroes to a darker path and I fear now may again be one of those times. Let us not be blind to the fact that perhaps the Nephilim only wish to plant the seeds of doubt or Neutrality among us that each may only care for himself and thus bring our great organization down to selfish knees.} {Those among us using magic were originally 8, let us not forget that those who have died are now no longer in possession of their original gems as well. From what we know thus far: Enya Dorgamel: Topaz Eris: Diamond (Claims as Original Gem) Piro the Visionary: Amathyst (Claims as Original Gem), Ruby (Claims to have acquired from Ezeal) Shadir Oswain: ??? Retak: ??? Zarissa Curie: Opal (Claims as Original Gem) Kob: Ruby (If Piro is to be believed) Pauline Jillian Boyle: ??? (Since no one has claimed her gem we can assume her death was caused by a Nephilim) If Piro is not lying about his gem and Enya did in fact do nothing as she claims yesterday then that only leaves Shadir as the killer of Pauline since Retak was purchasing the magnifying glass. The Naga claims to have been attacked with two ice attacks last night, which means (again if no one is lying) that Pauline must have possessed an opal and her killer stole it. Do we currently know if anyone was hit by a lightning spell last night? If Enya was indeed watching Retak who was raising Kob, then that would mean either the lightning killer of yesterday did not act (a fact I find hard to believe considering that the attack was Nephilim motivated and thus they wouldn't waste a night without killing) or the lightning killer acquired Pauline's Opal and decided to use it to attack the Naga. Again the only one left whom stands outside of all these actions is Shadir.}
Darkdragon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Hahaha. What proof would that be? What's the difference between me saying something and me telling you what I've said? I meant the original letter. I will not give up my trusted allies, I will take their names to my grave. If they want to step in and speak up they are welcome to, but why would they? All I did was buy some gloves!
