CMP Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 It appears that elemental usages should give us a pretty good idea of who is shooting whom. I'm curious to hear more squirming from the magically inclined to explain away these attacks. They can't. Zarrissa has confessed to using ice on the Snake, Eris has confessed to using light on me and Theodor, and Piro likely electrocuted Paulie on day one. There's, like, nothing left to be explained. I think Eris is our best shot at Nephilim between her and Zarrissa since Piro's already handled, her targets have been pret-ty pro-town, if I do say so meself..."
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Everyone should have seen me providing cover yesterday. I could not have shot anyone. I don't think any of us suspect that at the moment, we just have to remember the possibility, since you weren't actually shown Covering in the conclusion. (And neither was my Covering or Zpilf's Hiding or Jinnipher's Blocking)
Kadabra Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 So much to listen to. Everyone should have seen me providing cover yesterday. I could not have shot anyone. I also provided cover last night. It appears that elemental usages should give us a pretty good idea of who is shooting whom. I'm curious to hear more squirming from the magically inclined to explain away these attacks. Correct, except for that you theoretically could have changed your action as it wasn't shown in the conclusion. I'm willing to believe you, though. (You didn't cover Piro, did you? You don't have to tell me who you did, but it wasn't him, right?) And with it unlikely that there would be many repeats with 5 elements and 6 magic users who could've attacked, Eris being the Light using Nephilim who attacked Calico seems incredibly likely.
Tachyon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Ok, I am willing to give my gem to someone else for safekeeping. This will mean, I won't be able to deal damage.

Waterbrick Down Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 {So question here, my dear halfling, I seem to be missing something. If spells are twice as effective against us heroes and you took a hit from a light spell and a handcannon how are you still standing? Unless someone was protecting you from behind the scenes, I would have thought such strikes would have wiped you out.}

I always make sure I have at least one trick handy," winks Calico.
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Could he have changed his action ? He is ranged right ? He was shown successfully making a bomb in the conclusion Yesterday.
Tachyon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 He was shown successfully making a bomb in the conclusion Yesterday. I'm sorry for making a mistake.
Flipz Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I give my opal to Zplif and seal Eris "Exc'lent. All righ', then, here's hopin' this don' kill me..." Zpilf attacks Erin from the Front Row with Tarokus! It's super effective!

"Let me clarify this to you: I casted a spell on Theodor, but I never casted it on you. I don't believe that each spellcaster has a different gem, I think someone else with a diamond attacked you. If you still think I casted a spell on you then I find you a little scummy. I hope after my death someone does too."
Fred Daniel Yam Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 You people sure do talk fast. Maybe people just wanted to use their abilities during the night and were randomly firing them off at others?
CMP Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) You people sure do talk fast. Maybe people just wanted to use their abilities during the night and were randomly firing them off at others? "Yeah. That's exactly what we're doing. There's, like, no rhyme or reason behind anything we do. It's all completely random." Calico practically rolled her eyes right out of her head. Edited September 1, 2013 by CallMePie
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 You people sure do talk fast. Maybe people just wanted to use their abilities during the night and were randomly firing them off at others? I will not dignify that with a counterargument.
JimBee Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "I apologize for my silence, there is barely time to get a word in with so much talking. It appears we have some potential suspects, with some strong evidence against them. I definitely encourage those with powerful attacks to focus on Eris, Piro, and... who was the other spellcaster under suspicion? I believe offing them right away is the best course of action." "I'm also highly suspicious of O'Dragon for the unexplained gold. Perhaps we could attack her today, as well. I highly doubt any true hero simply handed her their gold. Maybe our friends Brienne and Corelin could provide cover for these attackers, since O'Dragon will surely put her new counterstrike gloves to use. I do hit, though I feel my skills would be best put to use by outlasting the dastardly Nephilim, and I will be blocking instead." "Ezeal the werelion I am not so sure of. He seems to be raising red flags everywhere, but I can't say I blame anyone for following what they believe. Perhaps he is to be investigated today or tonight, unless of course that disrupts the order that the magnifying glass will be used established yesterday. Then, those will the ability to do so, can watch both Ezeal and the investigator(s) through their telescopes to eliminate any chance of a confused investigation result. It may expend resources, but it eliminates needless death." "My other suspicions, though not solid enough for accusation, include Shadir, who has not contributed much other than idiocy (a true hero would familiarize herself with the situation and act rather than spend her breath only on asking questions), and Emmannuelle, who subtlety pushed for Kob's death yesterday and who hasn't contributed much except for agreeing with others. I also find it suspicious that Doranee has not spoken up at all. You would think those damn Veterans would do something about that."
Jedi master Brick Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I fear that many heroes are going for the attack first ask questions later approach. Surley it is a better to let them defend themselves first and if their defence is inadequate kill them later on as the day is still young. I am still suspicious of Expzeal and Eris but I do not want to do anything that is rash and reckless when there is still plenty of time left in the day.
Brickdoctor Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 I definitely encourage those with powerful attacks to focus on Eris, Piro, and... who was the other spellcaster under suspicion? I believe offing them right away is the best course of action. Zarissa has admitted to being the third spellcaster, and has already given up her gem to demonstrate her cooperation. Actions can be changed later. Attack now, to lessen the chances of scum getting a protecting or healing action in, and change actions later if the suspects convincingly argue their innocence. Besides, at this point, questioning might very well not make a difference.
Scubacarrot Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 "No. No. No. You people are terrible. Forestuprooters, Treeburners! I protected Piro last night, and it seems it's good that I did. What were you thinking attacking at night? You accuse Ezeal of not having trustworthy friends yet you can band together AND KILL PEOPLE DURING THE NIGHT? Unacceptable. That's so suspicious I don't even know. I don't think Piro was suspicious at all yesterday. I think you Nephilim, and possibly some charmed, loyal heroes decided to get rid of Piro because he is a strong hero. I myself have many powers, kill him, and I'm going to kill everyone involved in his death, if he indeed turns out Heroican. I'm warning you. No more mister nice faun."
JimBee Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Zarissa has admitted to being the third spellcaster, and has already given up her gem to demonstrate her cooperation. Wasn't there another spellcaster caught flinging spells?

JimBee Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 And Zarissa's compliance doesn't necessarily clear her of all guilt.
