What's the technique to get the SNOT tiled sides in this building?

I'm no longer in the same place as the set, so I can't snap a picture, but basically the SNOT bricks are in the center of the building, and the tiles on the sides are attached to regular bricks on their sides that attach to the SNOT pieces in the middle.

I have to disagree here - it looks like the designer has achieved a half plate offset in the SNOT sides of that building, something I don't think I've ever seen before in an official LEGO set, and an imaginitive way to reproduce that unusual deign feature. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this to see how it's done!

Well yes, as a building technique it's great, but I still thinks it looks rather ugly. It's not hard to do either (and can actually be seen in one of my build pictures on the conference building, which also uses the technique). It's just a matter of alternating between the older headlight bricks and the newer SNOT 1x1s that don't have the indent of the old headlights.

Very nice review! This design is pretty iconic in its own rights and I felt the designer have captured this set well. Personally, I find this UN HQ made a fine desktop display piece! Thank you Clonie for doing up this review.

Thank you for the great review with the many pictures. It is a nice set, well designed for the small the scale of the building.
