Darth Kram Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Cranes are my favourite type of Technic models and this one looks absolutely fantastic, I like the use of pneumatics instead of LA's. Awesome job! Quote
Tamas Juhasz Posted September 5, 2013 Author Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Thanks all. You did a wonderful job with great detail and functions. The write up is very well done also. Instructions maybe? Sorry, instructions aren't available, I didn't make it, and I won't. Nice model. How do you know exactly how many parts are in it? It's pretty simple: this model is taken apart yet. If I let it be assembled, I would have only about 70-80% of my building parts, that's not enough (many important would missing). Beautiful crane! i saw it earlier on BS Usually I have very limited time, that's why I don't comment a lot of here, and write sometimes later the article in my topics. EyesOnly Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Wow that is an amazing crane. Or put another way, what 42009 should have looked like. Quote
Erik Leppen Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Wonderful MOC. One of the best cranes I have seen to date. I like how you solved the double acting outriggers. Very nice that you managed to make it 8x8x8. I think this is the best scale for cranes, large enough to have space for functions, not too large that things become impossible. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Jaboni built the 42009 and shortly afterwards Jurgens Ultimate 42009, I must say they don't come even close to your Liebherr. I love the pneumatics which give realistic mount points for the boom. My first question to TLG would be why has the 42009 only one driven axle? Quote
ricky_bricks Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hope you like it. Yes! A really nice blend of looks and functionality, well done and thanks for showing it here. Quote
BEAVeR Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 The ultimate mobile crane! Both esthetically and functionally this model is beyond anything I've ever seen. You're great! All those smooth surfaces, smooth movements and tiny accurate details are incredible. Now only some window whipers, and you're really done. Quote
squizz Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 This is insanely good....if only TLG could produce something this realistic. A masterfull work. congrats. Quote
Marcel1980 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I like it! Very nice model. Just one question ; how many motors are there in total? Quote
Bricksonwheels Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Good work! I like it a lot. There is room for a bit more detailling which will really make it superb. Quote
SFRIP Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Awesome construction by such space! I really think on 10/10: mechanical solutions, aesthetic, size... everything is perfect. I´ve tried to replicate the steering system, but I don´t know how suspension works. How can the wheels go up / down? Impressive work! Quote
Tamas Juhasz Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) Just one question ; how many motors are there in total? There is 8 motor in total: 1 XL motor for propulsion and 7 M motor for other functions. I´ve tried to replicate the steering system, but I don´t know how suspension works. How can the wheels go up / down? The wheels can't go up/down theoretically, because it has no suspension. In the video the obstacles cause a little deformation on the axle's parts, and the axles which aren't above the obstacle are raised from the ground. Axles: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5936235 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5936236 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5936237 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5936238 - it can be, that you find a similar one, in this size there is only a few possibiliteis to create a non-suspended driven and steered axle. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Totally cool! This MOC has zero defects! Impressive work with those pneumatic pistons! Quote
