So now I'm gathering parts for this beatiful MOC but I already have alot of the cab parts in black and I like black so I'm thinking of doing it in mostly black.

Red chassis, black cab but not the whole cab the dark blue and the blue I'm thinking something like dark gray.

What do you think about that? Is it possible, do all the roof slopes etc exist in dark grey?

Or maybe the roof in red as the chassi?

Great to see that you are gathering the parts and also very nice of you to repaint the model! It is yours and please feel free to do as you like…

Both Red and Dark Grey would do amazingly well, I am sure about that! About Dark Grey, I would say use Dark Bluish Gray since this color is still produced. Maybe you meant this color already, but just to make sure!

BTW, please realize that if you intent to build the trailer as well, you have to repaint it as well! Just a thought to keep in mind :sweet:

The key elements of the roof are:

All of them are available in both Red and Dark Bluish Gray.

Thanks Ingmar!

I decided to go with black cab, red roof and som "styling" in DBG!

To only reason to why i dont want a white cab is because I like to have my models on display and so my son can play with them, and white isn't that good i sunlight. :(

A bonus is it will do well in my fleet of trucks with Grazi's tow truck, Whirl & Wheel and so on! ;)

I think that is a very nice color combination. As I wrote to you before the primary parts are available in red so that is not a problem at all! About white, i do understand, it will probably discolor because of sunlight. My models are all in this display cabinet and are absolutely not exposed to sunlight. Your sun will most likely love them very much, I am sure about that! :classic:

Have fun building!!!

So nice to see these models I designed and sell instructions for are at this truck stop (I suppose?):wub: Great to see that I inspire you and many other people to build these models!!!

That is an amazing load you came up with  and one heck of a beast to haul!!! Thanks for building these models and sharing those pictures with us

I changed the " load " on your trailer and used this combination to demonstrate your MOC at Brickworld Indy this past weekend. This truck and trailer was one of the very best Lego MOCs' at this show, I constantly heard from the public oohhs, and ahaas.

The public loved this truck. Then when I moved it under PF functions, well the comments were louder, then I opened the hood, I could hear the everyone's' jaws hitting the floor.

Yes Sir, it is his loader. It performed very well and the public really liked the ' swing loader ' function. I'd get right next to Hans' Dump truck, then swing the bucket to drop the Lego boulders. ( I had great fun demonstrating all models )

This load is amazing, looks awesome and impressive. Nice those added chains! Thanks for sharing those models at events and for sharing this picture with us!!!

Do you have plans for going to this event or others again...

Yes Sir,

I've already ' signed up ' for next years show in Indy, and am seriously thinking of going to Chicago in June for their show. Right now I'm inspecting all models I used to demonstrate and get some more experience in backing up your truck to the trailer.

It's harder than you would think, I can back down a boat and trailer with my personal vehicle on a boat launching ramp very well, but when I have to look at your truck, instead of being inside a vehicle, I can't do it very well. Just give me some mirrors and I'll be fine.

If I do go to Chicago................I will display both of your trucks.

I hope Ingmar won't mind me answering this OT question...........

It is important to inspect your models, you might even want to do a little maintenance. My experience is that since gears are not locked to the axles they are sitting on, the axles might be displaced a little. As long as it is just a little, it is okay, but in the end it might fall out. This happened to me occasionally.

It is different indeed, sitting inside the vehicle or having a helicopter view so to speak. Because of driving around in our not so big living room I developed that skill quite well...

Does this mean you have three or even four of my models within a couple of weeks sitting in your house? Please don't spend all your money because more are going to be released!

Thanks for the kind words. Right now I don't have a clue who you are, but that doesn't matter... :classic:

Have much fun checking my models and feel free and please share what it is that you think of those models! Thank...

Yepp 4 it'll be! :) haha...

Well I actually bought suspension and steering parts for 12 trucks (3-axles) so you just keep em' coming! Haha :)

And YES I'm very addicted to your trucks!

Hopefully I'll learn something by building them so I can try to build my own Scania some time!?

Aha, I see, I'll let em' coming for sure!!!

A Scania, well, to be honest I have plans for one of those too! I'll probably start with a torpedo to give my self the chance to get used to European trucks. Maybe within a couple of years I'll even build a "regular" COE Scania, who can tell... :sceptic::laugh:
