lightningtiger Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 To follow on from my gas station.......http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86212&st=25........I will give a tease to what's next and yes, I enjoy building hardware stores. Old Mr Hooper has moved on to this store now.........more floor tiles, merchandise and of course a roof/ceiling combo like the one on the gas station......keep watching ! Quote
jonwil Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Nice hardware store. One of these days I will finally get around to building that Masters Hardware I keep saying I will build (although the hard part is making it interesting enough rather than just a box) Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 Nice hardware store. One of these days I will finally get around to building that Masters Hardware I keep saying I will build (although the hard part is making it interesting enough rather than just a box) Thanks 'jonwil', I hope by Tuesday I can have this one finished so then I can do the final two builds in this Art Deco series.....then back to that roadhouse for my Aussie country town.....busy, busy, busy I am. As usual......keep watching ! Quote
jimmynick Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Looks good! I like your transparent macaroni pieces. I look forward to seeing how this grows and evolves as you build on it. I've noticed that your Art Deco Gas Station (and now this) are larger than your usual town scale - are you moving on to bigger things? Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 Thanks 'james' and bigger things......in about three months or so time.......keep watching ! Quote
Herky Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 this looks great, always fun to see how creative everyone is when building, very interested to see the final build Quote
kevin8 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Nice style. I love the way you have made shelves... Quote
eurotrash Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Excellent frontage LT. Looks like you've got another winner there... Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 Thanks 'eurotrash', 'kevin8' and 'Herky' for your positive feedback, I'm considering switching back to a 32x16 so then I can use two butted together to form an L shape so I can build that bank and/or diner next. I was going to use brown and tan in the showroom but suddenly chose dark red and tan......I feel it looks even more Art Deco that way......keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 A little progress update now...... Keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 I only have the roof now to do on the hardware store....... Still on keep watching everyone ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 More images now.....the bank is coming together, but I still must build the huge roof for the block of art deco shops/offices. Keep watching ! Quote
