DrJB Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Not really ... but an exact copy of a Ferrari car. I would not touch them but .... has anyone seen how 'close' to Lego the bricks are? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-Sports-Car-Large-Technic-Model-/271273417352?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item3f2927da88 Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Heh, thought it was a Crowkillers production at first glace! Not sure if we're allowed to discuss 'clone brands' on this forum though. Anyway, probably the usual: looks similar, but worse quality with inconsistent finishing, colouring, and durability. Avoid at all costs. Quote
Rick Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Clone brands are discussed in our Community forum, so I have moved your thread there. I have also changed the title to make it clear it's about Technic sets. Quote

tibivi Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Did you noticed that the engine block is turned around? Quote
Technyk32231 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Did you noticed that the engine block is turned around? You're right. The pistons won't even move this way, since the studs block the crankshaft. Quote
Foggy Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) They copy everything...... i hate that! Edited September 8, 2013 by Foggy Quote
Vindicare Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What's really bad about the listing is "Toys & Hobbies > Buildng Toys > LEGO > Technics". That only furthers that damn blanket brand name of building toys we hate so much. Quote
tomdobs55 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I love how the instruction booklet says "famous car" and all the tubing...Ughhhh Quote
N-4K0 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 (edited) It's so obvious that this is not Lego, given the "famous car" thing, that I wonder how the seller even managed to write "Technic"... didn't he even look at the bags? Edited September 13, 2013 by Error404 Quote
jluck Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 It's so obvious that this is not Lego, given the "famous car" thing, that I wonder how the seller even managed to write "Technic"... didn't he even look at the bags? If you look at the seller he specializes in whatever this clone brand is. It includes a "famous landmark" theme and trains as well. Obviously someone trying to make a fast buck off of others ignorance. Quote
N-4K0 Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 Yeah. I guess there will always be such things. Quote
