Why are you digging up this steaming pile of garbage again? There is no set definition on what is and what is not a UCS set aside from TLG labeling it so, end of story.

I feel scale has nothing to do with Lego. look at the technic sets. Or the Ferrari F40 vs the Mini.

I think Lego views the sets as detailed. 

The Hoth set is a UCS:

I personally do not feel it is, but its a UCS. 

I collect what (I) think is cool and looks the part. (slave 1, red 5, Y-wing.. etc....) The hoth set is not welcome in my home.... haha
