WhiteFang Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 This set has 602 pieces, by my count. @WhiteFang - do you have any info about the price? Not sure of the global pricing but the SRP cost SGD$89.90 in Singapore. Quote
AdrianB2014 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Do you know any Singapore online store that ships internationally? I want this set so bad Quote
Steve309 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) @whitefang Any reason why it says limited edition ? And where is this available in Singapore ? Also any news on release in North America ? Edited December 2, 2013 by Steve309 Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Do you know any Singapore online store that ships internationally? I want this set so bad Nothing on any offical LEGO mono stores in Singapore. Perhaps resellers market such as BL and eBay might be able to provide. @whitefang Any reason why it says limited edition ? And where is this available in Singapore ? Also any news on release in North America ? I got no firm knowledge as in why it is being marketed as 'limited edition'. There are some retailers in Singapore claiming that this will be an one-off production by TLG, but I do not know if there is any truth to it. It is currently available in limited quantities in LEGO mono-brand stores in Singapore. No news on other regions distribution releases. Quote
Herky Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 600 pieces is about equivalent to the UN HQ set which sold for $50 USD, saw the review on the Eiffel on another thread and the reviewer said it was 45 euro which is about $60 USD but it only has 324 pieces...that's a huge markup on that one. Ebay costs for Marina Bay Sands is running $100 USD minimum, about double the price it should be, would love to know if this is worldwide production since it says limited edition or just a Singapore release Much like the first Cussoo was the Shinkai only done in Japan, it would not thrill me to not get this one, but have to budget for a big outlay most likely in 2014. Off the wall Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Just searched ebay and there are already three listings offering 21021 for sale. Quote
tafkatb Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I'm hoping the "Limited Edition" just has something to do with it being the first Architecture set voted on by fans. That was an international vote, after all, so hopefully it will get a wide release eventually. Quote

And as I said on that other thread, the UN HQ is 50 € so the Eiffel Tower may be "only" US$45 Quote
Herky Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 thanks antp, yep, crazy that it is way more expensive for the countries using euros if this is true So we pretty much know the first quarter unveilings, Eiffel, Marina Bay, wondering what else TLG has in store for us next year, all the other lines have 5-10 offerings disclosed for 2014 so far, be nice to know what else is slated for the first 6 months of the year in the architecture line looked up the conversion on the Marina Bay piece, 90 Singapore dollars is 72 USD Quote
antp Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 thanks antp, yep, crazy that it is way more expensive for the countries using euros if this is true Yes but we are used to it (note that the Euro price includes 21% taxes, but still...) The more annoying thing is often price differences between neighbouring countries that both use Euro as currency and have same taxes rates, but that's another subject and rather off topic then :D Quote

And for the dollar that's practically at par with the American dollar. I'm paying 15-20% more. In some cases (Robbie house) 25% more Quote
Legogal Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Marina Bay Sands looks wonderful as a set…can't wait to get it! The real building looked so scary to me that I did not even walk near it much less go into the building. But I would love to build it. And it is great having another building from Asia. And a reviewer WhiteFang from Singapore to tell us all about it…how appropriate! Quote
Herky Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 wow, I never knew that you all paid that much more, I think the one problem is if say I were to buy sets in the US to get the cheaper price for you, the postage would end up costing just as much to ship to you as if you just bought it yourself...ugh I did hear "rumor off the wall" that Tapei 101 might be a possible in the future, I have no idea, just came up in a conversation I had with a lego employee, we were talking about the line and what we would like to see...I would love to see a version of the Roman colosseum as well. Anyone have any real TLG connections about the line and what else might come out in 2014? Quote
tafkatb Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Scrounged up 21019 on B&N's database today; the US price will be $35. Quote
eiker86 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) 4000010 LEGO House is proberly coming out in March 2014, it will cost around 149 DK and only be sold in any shop in Billund. This because LEGO are thinking about the economy to the local shops that are close to the building area to the new LEGO House. Herky Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Colonel, you need to clean them out and help out your fellow Eurobrickers on this site, that's a pretty cool set, am sure the ebay price will be sky high Quote
Colonel Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Well, Herky, I am pretty sure that Copmike will help me emptying the stores in April, because he will atttend the conference as well... Quote
tafkatb Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Now I know how the Super Heroes collectors feel when they see the Comic Con exclusives. Quote
Meiko Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) Does it say "xxx pieces"? Does that mean it isn't a finalised number of pieces (i.e. preliminary box) or what? Edited December 5, 2013 by Meiko Quote
just2good Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Does it say "xxx pieces"? Does that mean it isn't a finalised number of pieces (i.e. preliminary box) or what? Yeah, it looks like it's not the final box. Quote

rollermonkey Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Didn't see this mentioned, but 21019 - Eiffel Tower is showing up at LEGO.com now: http://architecture.lego.com/en-us/products/landmark/eiffel-tower-21019/ It's still not on S@H, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Quote
