Meiko Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 From what I saw at Tyson's Corner, Virginia, USA, their LEGO Store has a really good stock of LEGO Architecture, especially the Trevi Fountain. If anyone is in the area and looking to get any Architecture sets, they probably have it there. Quote

Off the wall Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The flatiron building will be great. I hope it's done on a larger scale that most sets in this series. I'm not asking for 3000 pieces, just something that will allow for a recognizable final product. Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Hmm... Odd. I'm surprised to see two buildings from the US in one year after just the one the past couple years. Edited September 2, 2014 by rollermonkey Quote
tafkatb Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I'm mostly surprised to see two years in a row of only Landmark Series - I thought the retirement of the Guggenheim, Robie House, and Farnsworth House might be to make room for more Architect Series models, but perhaps that was just wishful thinking. Herky Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) I think Flatiron could be considered both, it is classified as a Landmark sure, but Daniel Burnham was the architect and while he is not FLW, he did many buildings in cities in the US and oddly the Phillipines. The main issue I have with him is that most of his buildings are a bit boring...even Flatiron other than the iconic shape of it, is not exciting, kind of hearkens back to the first skyscrapers they did with Sears Tower and Hancock and such...giant office buildings.
