New Brickland, Florida

10:11 P.M.

9715082748_e68a788ee8_o.png

As New Brickland closes up for the night once again, the family meets for the fourth time - this time in the plaza.

9711848451_cdef5a8e4b_o.png

Next to the ice cream shop, Penny tries to comfort Cebastian. "I'm sorry for the loss of your daughter and sister... if you need anything, I'm here..."

"Wait, the little blonde chick who drowned was my daughter??" Cebastian says, puzzled, "Damn, it's a good thing I decided not to hit on her then."

"Wait, what!?" Penny says, taken aback.

"Is it a bad time to ask if you're free next Friday?" Cebastian ventures sheepishly.

9711848173_975d0b48a1_o.png

"Look at all these fancy ~choices~ this generation has" Peter complains, "Back in my day there were two choices - food, or... wait... what was the other one...

It's on the tip of my tongue!"

9715081868_48f61a31a2_o.png

"Everyone, listen up!" Tam begins for the fourth time this week, "I have very pressing news..."

However, he doesn't notice the minotaur behind him.

9711847605_beef44428f_o.png

"Out of the way, son; it's time for the real patriarch of this family to take center stage!" Bernard proclaims, ready to take charge. "Alright kiddos, now that voting's started, it's time for us to vote! Let's do that thing we do called voting, and vote for people in the correct format!"

"Voting hasn't started yet, moron!" someone yells, "The Night has only just begun!"

9711847151_8c5d02f721_o.png

"Oh, enough of this!" Tam says, obviously exasperated with the situation. He grabs the hair of the minotaur mask and attempts to yank it off his dad's head.

"No! Don't rob me of my Hinckley-powers!" Bernard protests.

9711847077_3d648a4ec9_o.png

However, in the end, young Tam wins the tug of minotaur.

"Respect your elders, sonny!" Bernard yells at him from the sidewalk.

9715080526_5833bd38e2_o.png

Ignoring his deranged father, Tam addresses the crowd now.

"I'm serious this time - moreso than before. Patricia Lillium and my own wife, Adelaide, are both dead - both, of course, being loyal Malones.

In addition, the man you convicted yesterday - Doğukan Akbulut - was also a loyal Malone. Great job, geniuses.

Things are getting tight here - we can't afford to be turning against our own. Catch me a Ferrari - I know you can!"

9711846209_5e9a65e313_o.png

And with that, the fourth Night of the ordeal is kicked off...

Rules

1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Malones or the Ferraris. To win the game, the Malones must eradicate all threats to the family, while the Ferraris needs to outnumber all other players. Third Parties have their own win conditions, which are outlined in their role PMs.

2. Each night you will be able to vote to execute a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player.

3. A game Night (equivalent of a Day) will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The Night will end after the full 72 hours, even if a unanimous vote has been reached beforehand. After the Night has concluded, a Day (equivalent of Night) Phase will commence, which will last 48 hours. A day thread will be posted, and will be closed once the Day phase is over. If you receive a night action, please send it to me during the timeframe which I specify for you.

4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the Day/Night, will be revealed at the beginning of the following Night (e.g., someone who is lynched on Night 1's affiliation will be revealed on Night 2, while someone who was killed during Day 2's affiliation will also be revealed at the start of Night 2 - even if they died in the middle of the Day.)

5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.

6. You may not communicate with anyone outside of the game thread unless otherwise stated by me. Yes, this includes PMs - you are not allowed to PM this game (unless granted a special exception). Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you.

7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on.

8. You may not edit your posts.

9. You must post in every thread - Day or Night.

10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM.

11. Violation of the above rules will result in a warning on your first offense, and your removal from the game on your second offense (you will be replaced). * **

* (Violation of the former part of Rule 6 will result in your immediate removal from the game)

**(Violation of Rule 7 will have a heavier penalty, made at the discretion of the Games Moderator.)

Dogfoodcan being a Malone is confounding. He wasn't even paying attention. We need better Malones than that! :hmpf_bad:

Due to the sensitive nature of sharing info in a PM-free game, I'll hold off on what my results are. In the meantime, perhaps anyone who targeted Patricia might want to start making excuses now. I'd contact people in private but it's against the rules...

We have to reconsider playing this game open and revealing all. Yes, there's only one protector but there are other Actions as well, ways to verify the fishy claims and vanillas. Haven't we seem other results? If everything is revealed we can pool results. It's a good idea. We're not getting anywhere like this. Someone is skating by. Cebastiane? Peter? Terrence? Middle of the Road guys...

Kristina, Colon soft claimed, did you target him to talk? Who has Person A been protecting?

Let's Lynch Dexter today. Kristina, you need to start producing insight into the game. Your whole story is making me twitchy.

Colon, like reading the thread and then running off to your Scum buddies? If you sift claimed, you have a role. How has it helped us? According to my earlier equation wouldn't it have been more beneficial to the Scum to kill you as it would incriminate me and get rid if your soft claimed role? Real helpful you're being with your role. Look at all those Ferrari corpses piling up!! :hmpf:

She didn't initiate any conversation with me. Perhaps she didn't trust me because a certain someone keeps telling everyone that everything I do is scummy.

Or perhaps she's not what she claims to be. It'd be pretty perfect for a a scum to claim. Unverifiable and she would already be talking to her scum buddies. It'd be odd to claim that as early as she did, though, unless the scum were worried about Doggy.

My biggest suspects right now are Candy and Dexter.

Candy made the "I've got to post something but I don't really know what to say so I'll be vague and hope no one notices" post yesterday. If you're paying attention at all, you should have something better to say.

And Dexter seemed to immediately want to place blame on me for Patricia's death. That could just be his ego, thinking that everything revolves around him or the scum mindset of pre-emptive blame. I don't think the mere fact that Patricia died implicates him but rather his reaction to it.

Posted

Well, it looks like my reads are off.

I'm starting to wonder if Kristina's playing us. Her claim was interestingly after Shane died, so we have no proof that she was actually talking to Shane. Person A is also anonymous, further proof that we don't know whether her claim is legitimate or not. I also want to hear Bernard's information, as further clarification of my suspicion, as something else has came up, that could possibly further incriminate Kristina, which I plan on sharing as soon as it comes the time, which I want to be around the time Bernard shares his information. Bernard, when do you intend on sharing your watch information?

I also want to hear from Priscilla, for my previous reasons. I could rationalize a lynch on Dexter, but its something Is have to think about. Bernard has brought up some very interesting points.

 I said the same thing as Colin. Sorry, Colin. But my suspicion still stands.

I intend on giving the people who targeted Patricia plenty of time to explain themselves. Without PM, I have no way of learning what they were doing. Perhaps they have some other avenue of explaining themselves anonymously. Maybe they're talking to Kristina. I think they'll need time. Since that may be a while, perhaps it's best you share your Kristina information with us now.

Terrence? Hello? Let's hear it already. God, I hate the no PM rule. Hate it! :wall:

 Sorry...

If we're going to play an open game now, I will share my information. I'm completely fine with playing an open game now, as it seems to be ourbest bet to win, with only 11 of us left and only 4-5 scum here, and I'm willing to say 4 since there's an implied SK, so it's make it or break it. I want to know for sure we're playing an open game, and only then will I share. How about 5 or 6 votes for one? Bernard and I are for it, so that's 2 there. Who else wants an open game?

Eh, what the hell, weneed the info, I will share.

This morning, our friend the hippie gave us a riddle, offering is a reward. I was interested to see what said reward was, hoping it would be helpful, and submitted my answer. As it turns out, I was correct in telling the hippie why he was fired (he was sleeping on the job), and I was given the choice of three objects. Each one could give me some sort of advantage. I don't see any reason why I should reveal ny item, salts actually not important. Needless to say, apparently more than one person solved the puzzle as well, and picked my item, and the hippie gave me the ability to ask ONE question, which he would answer. He warned me not to be too specific, so I obviously couldn't ask if l, say, Colin or Kristina were scum, because he said he wouldn't answer. My question?

How many scum claimed to he suspicious of me?

I got my answer, and that there was only one scum supporting a Terrence lynch.

The following people claimed to be suspicious of me: Bernard, Adelaide, Peter, Kristina, and Cebastien.

We've got a scum in there, folks, and I think Kristina is the most likely one.

Correction "as it's", not "salts".

That's a confounding little riddle. How interesting that the puzzle gives prizes. I wonder who else received one. So one out of five people are Scum there, huh? Well, that narrows it down...a bit. I suppose... :look:

Hey Kristina, start spilling about all the wonderful things your little alliance with Person A and your secret PM network is turning up for us back there behind the scenes. Talk, lady. It shouldn't take long to spill all the great news about all the Ferraris you're catching. Out with it. I swear, I will go to your house, drop my drawers and dump a huge stinky old man poop on your front porch if you don't start producing some Night...or Day whatever! Action results that actually freaking get us somewhere.

One out of four since Adelaide is dead.

Peter is pretty Scummy too, though. Is this all you have against Kristina?

I said this during the Day, if anyone cares:

The more I think about it, the more incriminating Patricia's death is towards Dexter. Dexter, she was the only person suspicious of you. Despite the valid points, nobody really seemed to latch onto her suspicions. She's the only one who voiced concerns about you and your behavior. Her points are definitely valid, but without her watching you like a hawk, you should easily be able to slip by, Scum-tells undetected and gloss over her concerns. Definitely need to get rid of a strong, smart player who has your card. I don't know that the Scum would take her out just to incriminate you when your tiff was providing plenty of distraction. If you are both Townies, the Scum probably would've liked your tunnel vision on each other and how that could potentially be distracting the Town from finding Scum. Perhaps Patricia saw the rest of your team clearly too and you really needed to take her out. We have to ask why the Scum went for Patricia and not the other strong "pro-active" players like Colon and Dexter.

You found her annoying, Dexter, another reason to want to kill her. You took her accusations personally, although they were valid points and just part of the game. Are you perhaps relying on WIFOM and we'll all assume the Scum were trying to frame you? A bit of reverse psychology?

If they killed Patricia, just to implicate another player and that was the strategy they were employing, they actually had four options:

1. Kill Patricia to implicate Dexter

2. Kill Dexter to implicate Patricia

3. Kill me to implicate Colon

4. Kill Colon to implicate me

There has to be a benefit to choosing Patricia. All things being equal, they could've killed Me, Dexter, Colon or Patricia. We're all strong players and were locked in accusations against each other. They chose Patricia. Why? Odds are that at least one of the four of us is Scum and that's why the Scum didn't kill us, but maybe Patricia's list was solid and we should look closely at the people on it: Dexter, Colon and Rolfe. Who else was she suspicious of?

Posted

I realised Colin's soft claim but frankly, he was pretty much bottom of the list in terms of who I trust. Right there with Dexter and Terrence.

I'm curious to see what Dexter supposedly has to share.

Posted

Kristina, we want the truth. We can't win if all you do is offer to contact somebody in private. If you aren't going to reveal anything herez howre we to trusthat you're saying? Bernard could easily be one of your scummy buddies that you're using as a cover up. We need answers and we need them relatively soon.

Posted

Dad, do you want me to contact you next?

It would be nice if you could stop by your old Father's house once in a while or at least pick up the phone!! :cry_sad:

That's your response? Well, what's the best way to use your Action? You want people with Actions, right? Shouldn't you be trying to figure out who meets those criteria? How the hell does your role work again? I read your explanation but there's a difference between real time Mafia reading and catchup Mafia reading, there just is. Now what the hell good have you been doing anybody and who has Person A been protecting? How many people in your little circle now? Why are you still alive????

Hey, does everyone remember how Scummy Candy was during the day? That was crazy Scummy, huh?

Posted

Kristina, where did Dexter say he had something to reveal?

Kristina has left to go use her Personal Messenger.

Terrence, why were you viewing your own profile a few minutes ago?

Capt Rolfe! Oh thou, who flyeth under the radar and was suspectethed by Patricia, who is now dead. How the heck are you? What's new? Busy night? Join the conversation. It's fun. Say something. Don't just lurk. It's weird. You're not subtle with that suit, which is blinding everyone.

Posted

Because I'm playing with myself :look: (I don't even know if these are real emoticons until I post them, they don't show up on my phone)

All jokes aside, I honestly don't know. I view my profile a lot actually.... Gotta keep up in Terrence Weekly, I guess.

Posted

That's the problem - I don't know who to target and I can't ask that in thread. The people I have talked to also haven't been able to help me identify the PRs. Given they are dead vanilla Malones, my guess is they didn't know either.

That's why I asked if you want me to stop by your house. I haven't exactly done a stellar job so far and could use some help. But I don't want to waste this action. I don't have a limitless supply of communications devices to hand out.

Dexter said he had something to incriminate me in an earlier post tonight. I see he posted this supposedly incriminating evidence above while I was busy posting myself.

Posted

I realised Colin's soft claim but frankly, he was pretty much bottom of the list in terms of who I trust. Right there with Dexter and Terrence.

Love you, too, Sis. If you are on the level, it's really too bad.

Have you actually made contact with anyone helpful? Anything to share that might help us after all this time?

On Night One, there's a discussion, after voting opens, about not policy lynching quiet people. It's led by Adelaide and Shane, two Townies. This could have led the Scum to adopt a quiet strategy.

I was going to add that, if the policy lynch has an upside, it's that analyzing the voting patterns therein can be a good jumping-off point on the next day. When a townie is lynched on the first day, it allows town to look for clues in who said what and who accused/defended whom and who jumped on what bandwagon. Occasionally you will find a scum who was too eager to put the screws to a defenceless townie on the first day and thus presents themselves as an easy lynch. Yes, the Day One lynch is more often than not a bit of a gong show, but its worth can be bared out in subsequent days.

How's your analysis of this Gong Show coming along, oh Wise One? :hmpf: Have you said anything yet or did you just stop in to lurk today??

No, Cap that's exactly what he says we should do. By all means, Shane, let's all sit back and not play into the scums hands by doing anything. This is an information game. You have information, you've got some game. Someone may not slip up but someone may. We might not get cum on the first try, but we might. It's not unheard of. We do nothing, what do we have at the end of the day? Nothing. But by all means, everyone, let's all sit on our hands and let the scum have their quality time. Wait patiently for the day to end and for the scum to get their first kill.

And what better way to hide than to do what you always advocate doing, huh?

I see no harm in making people talk. I like talking. Prevents me from having the time to think. Why should anyone not be talking? Let's do something. Sing campfire songs, roast marshmallows. Roast a turkey. Tie our own shoelaces together. Or, I don't know, find Ferraris.

Yet, this fire didn't stay ignited. Where's the talking? Where are you forcing people to talk? Tying shoelaces together *faceplants* OK, you did that one... but the others?

So, to pose the same question to you, did I miss where you actually gave a plan of action or was it just posturing to look helpful when you aren't actually helping, and are, in fact, pushing people into thinking that the only correct decision is to kill a member of the family in the name of action? That's actually pretty damn suspicious, now that I think about it. Maybe all this talking is helping.

Weird that I agree with Shane and have said similar things about you, Colon, three days after the late Shane did... :look: Hmmmmmmm...

Ooooh! Sorry it took me so long to get my hands over here--so un-lady like! I was just busy with a long sausage. Anywho,

While I may have dosed off there for a while, it seems the topic has shiffted to the pros/cons of a lynch today tonight, on the basis that it would most likely lead to a dead Malone. While I'm normally all for Lynching, since lynching is one of the town's best assets, I don't see anything good of day one lynches; basically ever. I mean, for the most part it's just a shot in the dark, that gives no future leads on scum. I find it really hard to cast a vote day one (Well generally), since it seems like we are firing into a crowd of friends. Although that doesn't mean I don't have suspicions or I think we should just sit on our bums until we are all killed.

Now, where is Terrence with my money?!

It's been fluff with you the whole time! Can we kill him? Please... If that axe-wielding, non-flesh-eating zombie is our vig, target Candy. Sluts are delicious.

Scum tells for Candy:

1. Apologizing for "being late" - check

2. Fluff - check and check...oh, check

3. Advocates not lynching since it nevers gives a pattern later...what? :look: - check

You are the Queen of Pings...and not the type you shoot out of your kooter during the late night show.

If you was paying attention, you would know I already explained (in the very post you quoted) what there is to be loined from a policy lynch. We can dissect and analyze how people behave, how they vote, and when they vote. We can see who's bandwagoning, who's flip-flopping, who's not doing anything, who's accusing whom, and who's defending or possibly colluding with whom. Behaviour analysis allows us to separate the scum from the dumb, but we can only analyze behaviour if we talk. Sometimes, as I said, an overeager scum will slip up on Day One and they can then be dealt with on Day Two.

The Russkie's right. We're gonna end up lynchin' someone, so why wax philosophic about why and how we do it? In fact, I'm gonna be the big man and get the ball rolling.

Vote: Jamie Kennedy (jamesn)

Why? Here's why:

Jamie's first statement was made in response to Shane's "Whatever can we do?" post. Now, poking at what attracts our attention is pretty general. Lotsa stuff can attract attention on Day One, from speaking too much to not speaking at all. This statement would seem to be in favour of talking things out and seems like a pretty blank cheque for barking up various trees. This wording would almost imply Jamie's in favour of the policy lynch. However, she followed this statement with...

This statement contradicts itself and the previous statement in a few ways. Foist of all, it's a violent reaction against policy lynching, which seems to contradict the previous statement. Second, she says we shouldn't or can't examine the voting patterns from a policy lynch, which is BS for reasons I've already outlined. Apparently, the best way to play this thing is to lynch our most likely scum and analyze reactions and voting patterns tomorrow to find out who's on what side. Explain to me, Jamie, why wouldn't be be able to do that for a policy lynch? If we lynch someone for looking scummy, chances are one or two of their teammates will jump on that bandwagon to try and look town. If we policy lynch, scum may similarly bandwagon just to mess with us and get rid of a townie. Seems to me both situations give us clues in the voting patterns, so why can we do one and not the other?

You voted for Jamie because he disagreed with you, not for seeming Scummy. Read what you wrote. Nowhere does it insinuate that he's Scum. You just don't like his stance against "policy lynching" a buzz word I hope dies soon. Scum perspective: your argument lacks any accusation of being Scummy. You're telling him the better way to find Scum, not that he's actually trying to stop the Town from finding it.

Hello, Kristina, you've been here for a while. Is Person A dead? What kind of Town block do you wish to form? What have you learned? Who has Person A protected? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello???

ptg01413522.jpg

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. The advantage is that there's more of us. And as I said, I'm against lynching someone just for being quiet. I don't think that will be necessary.

Yes, don't vote for the quiet people or the pudgy people either! I will sit around and be both and just Scum my life away.

If the Scum are the ones who block us from talking during the day then they purposely targeted their own last night to help Scummy Peter look less Scummy.

Kristina, hello??
