Capt. Redblade Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hold it there. You're approaching this all wrong. Assuming we have five or six scum and only one is on your list (which I believe should include Dexter as others have mentioned), why would you look for the one scum in a group of five, when there's likely 3 or 4 scum hidden in the remaining group of six. We should be looking for the scum not in the list, because our chances of getting them would be much better. Am I wrong? I think not. But feel free to prove it to me, if you can. Well, if that isn't the scummiest thing I've heard all night. Thing is, Penelope, we know there's a scum in the group of five, and a little bit of detective work can tell us who they are. At this rate, the scum could very easily win with just one or two more mislynches. We know one of the suspects the hippy gave us is scum. That's hard evidence, and it's more than we've had this whole time. Are you suggesting we ignore that evidence and continue to stumble blindly? So folks, the question is, are we going to believe Terrence or not? If so, then I think we should look for the three or four scum hiding in the group of six (not counting Dexter). Now I know that I'm not scum, and if we're trusting Terrence we can assume he's not scum. So that means that three or four out of the remaining four, are scum. Genius, aren't I? So my suggestion would either be to lynch Terrence or lynch one of the other four mentioned as, as I see it, either he is scum or they are. So wait, you're assuming Terrence isn't scum, but are perfectly willing to lynch him? On what planet is that considered rational? I think we should look for the three or four scum hiding in the group of six (not counting Dexter). This group consists of: Myself Cap'n Rolfe Candy Priscilla Colin Terrence Well, I'm pretty inclined to believe Colin is town, due to his claim. I believe Terrence is town, given his story about the hippy which has been backed up by a couple people, and I know for a fact I'm town. I think that leaves you as the most likely choice. Candy's a close second, and I don't know one way or the other about Priscilla. When's voting start? 'Cause I know where mine's going.
TrumpetKing Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Penelope, I do believe I stated that my question asked how many scum listed me as their to 3 suspicions.... That's why Dexter's not on the list... Because the 5 that accused me were Adelaide, Bernard, Kristina, Peter, and Cebastien.... I'll make a long response very shortly, clearing everything up and answering some questions.
Kristel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Penelope, I do believe I stated that my question asked how many scum listed me as their to 3 suspicions.... That's why Dexter's not on the list... Because the 5 that accused me were Adelaide, Bernard, Kristina, Peter, and Cebastien.... I'll make a long response very shortly, clearing everything up and answering some questions. I really hope your long answer to this addresses these two posts: I have to go to work. An enforcers day is never done. I'll weigh in in more detail when time opens up, but for now I can say that my three are Dogukan, Terrance and Penelope. But, the reasons I found Penelope suspicious for are drying up. I can't tell if she just took my finger-pointing as a guide on how to behave less scummy. So, do we even have an investigator? Kristina, did you have any contact with anyone that had a role other than protector? I'm getting the feeling, unless scum were pinpoint precise in their kills (scum roll cop?), that town was unusually weak to begin with. If I had to do my top three right now, it would be: 1. Colin 2. Terrance 3. Candy How about the rest of you?
TrumpetKing Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Few points Terrence, 1. Your suspicion of me, basing off meta and knowing my scum games is a really skewed one. Have you considered my town games as well? What is the difference between my town and scum games that made you think I am scum this time? Even when I am town, people find me scummy when I am alive, so I don't see your meta-reasoning being justified. 2. This is a new situation for most of us, with no private conversations unless permitted. So your meta-reasoning of me may not be so applicable this time as well. 3. I don't like how you are so quick to defend Penelope and agree with Dexter over the issue of my non-vote; which I feel that I have sufficiently explained myself. 4. I believe I called you out on Night 3 with about 24 hours left to go, you come in 3 hours into Day 4, and said you will start analysing posts. Then in about 21 hours later, after Patricia died, you started with your analysis Day 4: #39, 18 minutes later, #40, 13 minutes later, #44, 24 minutes later, #45. It is obvious that you did you analysis about halfway into Day 4, and the time span you took to draft out 4 different posts suggest to me very much so that way. After reading all your comments, Terrence, it seemed to me that you are backtracking. I am getting the vibe that you are trying to force your suspicions onto me. Your opinion of me seemed to stem from the idea that you find me scummy based on meta; with that pre-formed judgement, you look into every post I made and try to find whatever that fits. In other words, I feel that your suspicion of me really started in Night 3 after I asked you why I am on your list. And your case from Night 1 leading up to Night 3 doesn't really show that you are suspicious of me, or how my behaviour over the course of these days/nights has led to your conclusion that I am suspicious. Maybe we should chit chat more often so that we can get to know each other better. Then maybe you can come out with better reasons to support yourself. 1. Yes, I've considered your town games. I'm fairly sure just abut everybody garners suspicion as town, and that's a terrible way to defend yourself, honestly, since everybody can say it. 2. PM's don't prove your towniness either. I'm going to be frank, and say that I'm apparently great in PM's as scum when I don't claim, so that's not a very strong reason either. 3. A sufficient explanation can't be considered saying "Oh, I was gone". You very well knew you were going to be gone, told us, and then left, when you could have simply cast a vote there. 4. And did I start analyzing posts? Yes. I was busy, but I still got to it. Of course I started my analysis halfway through Day 4, that's when they were posted. The span is just because I posted each day's posts separately. Of course I'm finding reasons in your posts that make you scummy, that's what can happen in an analysis. You're basically screaming scum to me, and I'm perfectly fine with lynching you. Oh, where'd you go?? Are you going to talk again, because I haven't seen you since. Odd. I didn't see that in Bernard's tally... I guess it's very possible for him to be scum then...
Chillax Darth Frodo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 There was a reason for killing Patricia. She noted that Jamie, she and I were pretty much saying all the same things around the time that Jamie was killed. Patricia thought that the scum must have targeted Jamie because they probably thought she might be my "Person A". I pointed out to Patricia that, by that logic, they would probably also think that Patricia might be my "Person A" and that she would then be the next scum kill. However, she thought that being so vocal in the thread would be her protection. Gotcha. What else was being said by all three of you? What were the similar things? Were any of them a list of suspicions?
Kristel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Odd. I didn't see that in Bernard's tally... I guess it's very possible for him to be scum then... Odd or convenient. The latter I think, given it was there for everyone to see. I think you would notice those that were accusing you. Also, when are you going to answer my questions? You've been happy to pester me, saying that we need answers, but then don't provide any yourself.
TrumpetKing Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Yes or no - did you write out a list of people for the hippie? Dexter should be on the list because he had you in his top three. I quoted that post above. Again, why did you leave off Dexter? I assume you prepared the list for the hippie. I find it hard to believe that you just asked the hippie how many people that were suspicious of you were scum. That would have required the hippie to go back and check who said what. If I was the hippie and you asked me to do that, I would have told you where to stick it. No, I didn't prepare a list, I honestly don't think it's that hard for Dirty Hippie to just go check Bernard's tally. It was rude of me, but it wasn't that hard. I got a response relatively quickly. I've already explained why I didn't include Dexter, but in case you're still wondering, I was going off of Bernard's post, which I don't recall having Dexter on it.

I've already explained why I didn't include Dexter, but in case you're still wondering, I was going off of Bernard's post, which I don't recall having Dexter on it. It took me about two minutes to find it. You'd think with an important question like yours, that you would double check. People who listed their suspicions: Me (Peter, Terrence, Dogfoodcan) Cebastiane (Dogukan, Terrence, Adelaide) Candy the Slut (Dogukan, Penelope, Kristina) Adelaide (Dogukan, Terrence, Cap'n Rolfe) claims to have been blocked too...megablocks to make Dogfoodcan's block sound more plausible? Colon (Dogfoodcan, Cap'n Rolfe, Penelope Talbott) Kristina (Dogukan, Terrence, Adelaide) Cap'n Rolfe (Dogukan, Person A, Peter) Patricia (Dexter, Colon, Rolfe) Dexter (Dogukan, Terrence, Penelope) Priscilla (Colon, Dogukan, Rolfe) Terrence (Priscilla, Adelaide, Dogukan) Peter (Dogukan, Rolfe, Terrence) It seems Dogukan is the only one who didn't list his top three suspicions. Here are the rankings of who we, collectively, find suspicious: Dogukan: ||||||||||| (Me, Cebastiane, Candy, Adelaide, Colon, Kristina, Rolfe, Dexter, Priscilla, Terrence, Peter) 11 Peter: || (Me, Rolfe) 2 Terrence: ||||| (Me, Cebastiane, Adelaide, Kristina, Peter) 5 Adelaide: ||| (Cebastiane, Kristina, Terrence) 3 Penelope: ||| (Candy, Colon, Dexter) 3 Kristina: | (Candy) 1 Cap'n Rolfe: |||||| (Adelaide, Colon, Dexter, Patricia, Priscilla, Peter) 6 Person A: | (Rolfe) 1 Dexter: | (Patricia) 1 Colon: || (Patricia, Priscilla) 2 Priscilla: | (Terrence) 1 I'm sure time of day has a lot to do with the votes. If I was to re-vote, I'd add Colon to my list, obviously. However, it looks like the top three suspects are Dogfoodcan (obviously as he's being lynched), Cap'n Rolfe and Terrence. And Colon. Looks like Dad did miss Dexter's vote for you in the bottom summary, although it is there in the top list.
Chillax Darth Frodo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Ugh, I put Dexter as saying Rolfe was suspicious instead of Terrence. Duh. Sorry. He posted before Patricia, but I didn't see the list. I noticed as I was about to post and plugged his votes in. My addled brain placed him before Patricia even though he only voted with her once. I'm happy to share that I think Dexter, Terrence, Rolfe and Candy are scum. I agree with this list minus Terrence plus Priscilla. Terrence may still be Scum, but I'm not so sure. I'd like to see a dead Priscilla real soon. I suggest we lynch Dexter today. Perhaps we ask Colin not to kill anybody to ensure us one more day in this fight against Ferraris.
Kristel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I agree with this list minus Terrence plus Priscilla. Terrence may still be Scum, but I'm not so sure. I'd like to see a dead Priscilla real soon. I suggest we lynch Dexter today. Perhaps we ask Colin not to kill anybody to ensure us one more day in this fight against Ferraris. My four suspects were stated prior to Priscilla coming out with her "analysis" of Terrence. I agree she is looking scummy and has has not looked very townie at any stage of the gam. I'd be happy to add her, but I don't understand why Terrence shouldn't stay on the list. That would be "game" not "gam".
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm fine with not killing anybody if that's what most of the more reliable people think. If I should kill someone, though, I'd like to know soon. I'd rather not leave Tam waiting too long and bring about his wrath. So if it's not too much trouble, I think I'd like to poll the audience (since I won't be allowed to phone a friend.): If everyone could give their opinion and let me know where I stand here. I understand the numbers are probably close and would rather not be the cause of our downfall. On the other hand, a scum getting offed would put things more in our favor but we'd want to be pretty sure.
Kristel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I think we (collective town) need to agree who to lynch today before you put in your NA. We don't want to decide later to lynch the person you submitted for the kill, as you won't be able to share that name with us. I'm fairly confident we have most if not all the scum in this group: Dexter, Terrence, Rolfe, Candy and Priscilla. I'd be happy for us to lynch Dexter (as Dad suggested) and have you target Rolfe or Candy for the kill.
Chillax Darth Frodo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Funny, I don't recall him ever "playing" before now. Don't tell him. My four suspects were stated prior to Priscilla coming out with her "analysis" of Terrence. I agree she is looking scummy and has has not looked very townie at any stage of the gam. I'd be happy to add her, but I don't understand why Terrence shouldn't stay on the list. I have trouble thinking Terrence would make that all up. What an elaborate plot would that be? Do the Scum really need to run that sort of gambit being as far ahead as they are? However, if he's Scum and they came up with the plan, thinking we'd focus on that list of five, and there are no Scum in that list of five, that would guarantee them at least one more Townie lynch, if not five and therefore the win. Would God answer such a question, I have no way of knowing. Also, that entire list could be Scum and he could be saving four of them by getting just one lynched. Well, I'm on the list, so I know that one isn't true, but there are several options as to why the Scum might try to run such a gambit. But, the simplest razor or something like that. Well, if that isn't the scummiest thing I've heard all night. No, your statement is the Scummiest thing you've heard all night. Are you two staging something? This seems really forced. So, we have an investigator no matter what happens. Isn't that good. There's no way to kill the investigator, so our investigator should feel free to come forward and reveal all of the results. No fear, investigator. I know your story, so even if you reveal yourself, you don't need to be afraid. We know we'll never lose the investigator. Let's hear what you have please. It's time to be bold and take risks. The investigator cannot be killed. Make a move for the Town.
Tamamono Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Voting is now open. With 11 players, it takes 6 to convict. Dawn in 48 hours.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Well, that's good news, if not a bit confusing. But gift horses shouldn't go to the dentist, as they say. I do think that if Dad is telling the truth about the crystal ball (I'm still confused as to how he received the question as an option at first when I didn't), it's fairly likely Dex has the hardhat. So if we want to be rid of him today, we'd have to lynch him.
Chillax Darth Frodo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Good point. Vote: Dexter (def) for all the reasons that have been previously stated. Regarding who to kill, I wish there was a way to privately communicate with you Colin, so the Scum can't plan accordingly. Only being able to communicate in thread is problematic to Town cohesion! Let's not give God a hard time about that until the game concludes. megablocking stupid rule. Eh, sorry.
mostlytechnic Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Well, well, well... I'm finally here. Apparently Peter lost his secretary named Priscilla and then hired me, since I'm her twin. Even have the same name, which was REALLY confusing as kids. So I've got some catching up to do. However, since us secretaries have to actually do WORK during the day, I'm exhausted. Read some of the action but now I've gotta catch a catnap. Be back in a while to actually help find those dang Ferraris that we just can't seem to catch. Good thing there's still 48 hours left before someone is lynched. Time enough for me to help out, hopefully more than the other Priscilla did since I see some of you think she/I am scummy.

I really didn't think I was but I've been told otherwise. Sorry. I didn't think my dickish statements would be taken so seriously. They were not meant seriously. I won't really be pooping on anyone's doorstep.
Kristel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Vote: Dexter Fairbanks (def) The reasons why have been discussed extensively before.
CorneliusMurdock Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I won't really be pooping on anyone's doorstep. Proper etiquette requires that you go beforehand in a paper sack and deposit it on someone's doorstep set aflame. Wouldn't want to do it wrong and offend somebody. Vote: Dexter (def) I'll wait a few hours before submitting anything. Those not napping can have some time to discuss matters.

Wouldn't want to do it wrong and offend somebody. That's called fancy defecating. In my day, we only had one form. I was just going to defecate. Who has time to burn it?
Capt. Redblade Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I really hate to split the vote here, but what Penelope said is really pinging me. Vote: Penelope Talbott (Palathadric) No, your statement is the Scummiest thing you've heard all night. Are you two staging something? This seems really forced. I'm not sure I understand, Bernard. What about my accusation seems "forced" to you?
Chillax Darth Frodo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm not sure I understand, Bernard. What about my accusation seems "forced" to you? It seems like an over-reaction.
Tamamono Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 Vote Count Dexter Fairbanks (def) - 3 (Chillax Darth Frodo, Kristel, CorneliusMurdock) Penelope Talbott (Palathadric) - 1 (Capt. Redblade) 46 hours until Dawn.
Capt. Redblade Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 It seems like an over-reaction. How? She pretty much rejected the only shred of evidence we've had so far. Plus, she's willing to lynch Terrence and trust that he's not scum at the same time. I'm sorry, but that's not a townie mindset. Where am I overreacting? Or are you the only one who's allowed to call people scum based on one statement? On a semi-related note, where exactly has Penelope gone? She was here just a short time before I called her out, but then she vanished.
